Tampering with or opening the control box, motors, or remote
control(with the exception of replacing batteries) will void the
warranty.
Operating Information:
• After power foundation assembly is completed, operate remote
control to ensure proper functions before occupying the bed.
• Keep moving parts free of obstruction during power foundation
operation (including sheets, clothing, tubing, wiring, and products
using electric power cords).
• Distribute body weight evenly over bed surface during operation.
Do not operate the bed while sitting directly on the head or foot
sections of the bed.

Two people are required to set up the foundation.
WARNING: It is important that you read and carefully follow all foundation assembly instructions. Do not plug the power
cord into an electrical outlet until all assembly has been properly completed. Failure to follow all foundation assembly
instructions may cause the bed to operate improperly possibly resulting in the risk of personal injury or death.

* Make sure the adjustable legs are properly tight, and the plastic caps have been placed at the
bottom of the legs. Incorrect installation might cause the part to fail or damage the floor.

5Flip the foot end of the bed from the box
and lay it on top of the head end.

end of the bed, make sure the legs are
tight. Uncoil the DC power cord
(connected to the control box)
and put it to the side of the bed.

Make sure the batteries are

SETTING PROGRAMMABLE POSITION
The M9X8 and M9X9 power bed has a programmable feature that
allows you to save two custom positions.
Please read all the instructions below before setting your custom
presets on the remote.
The LCD screen will show LOW once the batteries are in
low power.
LOW BATTERY
LOCK
Press and hold the HOME and SELECT buttons
simultaneously for about 5 seconds until the LCD screen
shows LOCK.
UNLOCK
Press and hold the HOME and SELECT buttons for
about 5 seconds until the LOCK disappears on the LCD
screen.
SETTING REMOTE LOCK
The M9X9 power bed has a lock feature that allows you to lock the
remote. Read all the instructions below.
Adjust the head and foot to your desired position.
STEP 1：
To adjust a saved position, repeat step 1 and 2
and the new position will be saved.
STEP 3：
Press and hold the LED on/off button first,
then press and hold one of the picture programmable
buttons for 5 seconds until you hear a beep
sound. The position is then saved.

STEP 1：Unplug foundations from the power source.
STEP 2：Connect the male ends of the sync cord to the female sync plugs of the control boxes (Refer to below illustration).
STEP 3：Plug foundations back into the power source.
STEP 4：Check to ensure all cords are securely attached.Either remote will operate both foundations simultaneously.

Headboard brackets are an optional accessory and are not included.
A 1/2'' (13 mm) socket and 1/2'' (13 mm) wrench are necessary to complete installation.
OPTIONAL HEADBOARD BRACKET COMPONENTS
(2) Headboard Brackets (2) T-Brackets (8) M8*16 (4) Nuts
a)Align the slot hole of the headboard bracket to the sleeve into
which the leg threads. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN. Too much force
may damage the thread.
b)The headboard bracket has 2 adjustable slots to accommodate
any frame type. Use the bolts and Washers to secure the bracket.
Make sure the bolts are tight.
a)To put the T-Bracket and Headboard Bracket together, you will
need (2) M8×16 bolts and (2) nuts. Slip the bolts through the holes
from T-Bracket to Headboard Bracket with the head of bolt facing
outward. Use the 1/2” (13 mm) socket and 1/2” (13mm) wrench to
tighten the bolts.
You may now connect your headboard to the attachment plates using the remaining short bolts and nuts to secure it to the brackets. The heads of
the bolts will face outward. Use a 1/2” (13mm) socket and 1/2” (13mm) wrench to tighten the bolts.

In the event that the power foundation fails to operate, assess the symptoms and possible solutions
provided in the chart below.
SYMPTOMS SOLUTIONS
Remote control illuminates and appears to be operable, but will not
activate bed.
Head or foot section will elevate, but will not return to the horizontal
(flat) position.
No features of the power foundation will activate.
Remote will not illuminate. Replace the batteries in the remote.
Verify that the power cord is plugged into a working, grounded
electrical outlet. Test the outlet by plugging in another working
appliance.
Program the remote control (see the Setting Programmable Positions
and Pairing Remote section of this manual for programming
procedures).
Unplug the power cord, wait 30 seconds and plug back to reset
electronic components.
The electrical outlet may be defective. Test the outlet by plugging in
another working appliance.
Bed mechanism may be obstructed. Elevate bed and check for
obstruction. Remove obstruction.
Head section may be too close to the wall.
Headboard may be too close to the edge of the mattress. Verify
that there is enough distance between the headboard brackets and
mattress. Adjust if required.

In the event that the power foundation fails to operate, assess the symptoms and possible solutions
provided in the chart below.
SYMPTOMS SOLUTIONS
Head, Foot and/or Neck lift function has minor interference durling
operation.
Excessive massage motor noise.
A clicking noise is heard under the bed when raising or lowering.
Check batteries in remote control, replace with three (3) new AAA
batteries if necessary.
Make sure that you are following the duty cycle of the motors (do
not operate more than [2] minutes in an [18] minute time period or
approximately 10% duty cycle).
Press the lift buttons squarely and accurately.
Remote control may be experiencing common Radio Frequency
Interference from other radio transmitting devices. Wait several
seconds, and then try pressing appropriate button again, See FCC
COMPLIANCE statement on page 1 of this guide.
If the bed is located on hard surface flooring, place carpet pieces or
rubber pieces (not included) under each leg.
Using the remote control, elevate the head, foot or neck section a
short distance to realign the lift/lower mechanisms with the bed
support platform.
Verify that your ASHLEY Power Foundation is not positioned against
a wall, nightstand, or other object that may cause the vibration or
noise.
If the ASHLEY Power Foundation is installed over a bed frame, verify
that the massage motors are not causing the bed frame (or bed
frame components) to vibrate.
Verify that the headboard attachment hardware is properly tightened
(if used).
This is normal. The lift motor relays “click” when they are engaged.
No action is required.

L’installation de la base ajustable demande deux personnes.
AVERTISSEMENT : Prenez soin de lire et de suivre attentivement toutes les instructions pour
l’assemblage de la base ajustable. Ne branchez pas le cordon d’alimentation dans une prise électrique
tant que l’assemblage n’est pas correctement terminé. À défaut de suivre toutes les instructions pour

5Sortez l’extrémité du lit du côté pied de la
boîte et placez-la sur la tête de lit.

6Installez les 2 pieds restants sur
l’extrémité du lit du côté pied,
assurez-vous que les jambes sont
serrées. Déroulez le cordon
d’alimentation de la prise c.c.
(connecté au module de commande) et
placez-le à côté du lit.
Connectez les connecteurs du capteur de mouvement.

Préparez le matériel du capteur de mouvement.
ÉTAPE 1 : Fixez le capteur de
mouvement au support de
montage.
ÉTAPE 2 : Tournez le support de
montage de 90 degrés dans le
sens
horaire.
ÉTAPE 3 :
TERMINÉ !
ÉTAPE 2 : Connectez les connecteurs du capteur de mouvement
comme illustré. Notez qu’il y a deux connecteurs, un de chaque
côté du lit.
ÉTAPE 1 : Fixez le support de montage sur les pieds réglables
au centre comme illustré.
