Deze gebruikshandleiding beschrijft de werking
en de bediening van de ATAG A CV-ketel. Deze
handleiding is bedoeld voor de gebruiker. Voor
installatie en in bedrijf stellen is er een instal-
latievoorschrift voor de installateur. Lees deze
gebruikshandleiding goed door voordat u enige
handeling aan de ketel verricht. Raadpleeg bij
twijfel en storingen altijd uw installateur.
ATAG Verwarming behoudt zich het recht voor om
haar producten te wijzigen zonder voorafgaande

Werkzaamheden aan de ketel mogen alleen door
gekwaliceerd personeel met gekalibreerde ap-
paratuur plaatsvinden. Bij vervanging van onder-
delen mogen uitsluitend ATAG Service-onderde-
len toegepast worden.
Indien u gas ruikt:
- Geen open vuur! Niet roken!
- Geen licht in- of uitschakelen of andere elek-
trische schakelaars bedienen
- Geen telefoon gebruiken
- Gashoofdkraan sluiten
- Ramen en deuren openen
- Huisbewoners waarschuwen en gebouw ver-
laten
- Gasleverancier of installateur pas buiten het
gebouw bellen
Corrosiebescherming
Gebruik geen sprays, chloor-houdende reinings-
middelen, oplosmiddelen, verf etc. in de omgeving
van het toestel of bij de luchttoevoer van het toe-
stel. Deze stoffen hebben een ongunstige invloed
op het toestel en kunnen tot corrosie leiden met
storingen tot gevolg.
Controle van het CV-water
Controleer regelmatig de waterdruk van de CV-
installatie.
Gebruik bij het vullen altijd drinkwater.
Het toevoegen van chemische middelen zoals
vorst- en corrosiebeschermingsmiddelen (inhibi-
toren) is niet toegestaan.
Neem bij twijfel contact op met uw installateur.

De ATAG A is een gesloten, condenserend en
modulerende CV-ketel al of niet voorzien van een
geïntegreerde warmwatervoorziening en voldoet
aan de Europese norm (CE).
Een comformiteitsverklaring is op te vragen bij de
fabrikant.
Het gebruiksrendement van de ketel is zeer hoog,
de stralings-, convectie- en stilstands-verliezen
zijn laag. De uitstoot van schadelijke stoffen ligt ver
beneden de hiervoor vastgestelde norm, zodat de
ketel ruim voldoet aan de Gaskeur-eisen:
Gaskeur HR 107 (Hoog Rendement)
Gaskeur HRww (Hoog Rendement warm water)
Gaskeur SV (Schone Verbranding)
Gaskeur CW (Comfortklase Warmwater)
Toelichting Gaskeur CW
Het CW-label maakt duidelijk in welke warmwa-
terklasse een ketel valt en voor welke toepassing
de ketel het meest geschikt is. De tabel geeft
hierover meer duidelijkheid. Voor meer informatie

Vanaf fabriek is de ketel zo ingesteld dat de ketel
voldoet aan Gaskeur CW (m.u.v. propaan).
Alle eventuele wijzigingen doen het Gaskeurlabel
teniet.

deurtje. Na het openen van het deurtje treft u een
kort overzicht aan met de betekenis van de toetsen
en symbolen. Deze zijn hierna verder beschreven.

4 Beeldscherm en toetsen
4.1 Reset-toets
De reset-toets laat de ketel opnieuw opstarten
indien er zich een storing voordoet.
Bij een eventuele storing wordt het symbool
getoond met een code Cx xx.
In andere gevallen heeft de Reset-toets geen
functie en zal ook niet reageren bij bediening. Zie
9 voor een kort overzicht met codes.

Druk op de + of - om de ingestelde waarde te
wijzigen. Elke wijziging is direct actief.
Warmwaterprogramma UIT: Druk op de - tot de
laagste waarde en druk vervolgens nogmaals op
-. Beeldscherm toont -- en middelste is uit.
Inschakelen werkt in omgekeerde volgorde.
Druk op de + of - ; het beeldscherm toont knip-
perend de ingestelde waarde;
Druk op de + of - om de ingestelde waarde te
wijzigen. Elke wijziging is direct actief.
CV-programma UIT: Druk op de - tot de laagste
waarde en druk vervolgens nogmaals op -. Beeld-
scherm toont -- enbovenste is uit.
Inschakelen werkt in omgekeerde volgorde.

Druk kort op de i-toets of Scroll-toets om de vol-
gende waarde te verkrijgen:
A0 = Aanvoerwatertemperatuur
A1 = Retourwatertemperatuur
A2 = Warmwatertemperatuur
A4 = Rookgastemperatuur
(alleen indien rookgassensor is aangesloten)
A5 = Buitentemperatuur
(alleen indien buitenvoeler is aangesloten)
A6 = Waterdruk
A9 = Toerental ventilator
Om terug te keren naar de standaard weergave
druk op ESC.

5 Bijvullen CV - installatie
Indien u zelf de CV-installatie wilt bijvullen gaat u als volgt te werk:
(Neem bij twijfel contact op met uw installateur)
1 Sluit de vulslang aan op de koudwaterkraan;
2 Vul de vulslang geheel met drinkwater;
3 Sluit de gevulde vulslang aan op de vul- en aftapkraan van de CV-installatie;
4 Open de vul- en aftapkraan;
5 Open de koudwaterkraan;
6 Vul langzaam de CV-installatie tot 1,5-1,7 bar:
Druk op i-toets tot A6 (waterdruk). Waarde op het beeldscherm loopt op;
7 Sluit koudwaterkraan;
8 c1 05 verschijnt op het beeldscherm op het moment dat de druk boven
1,3 bar komt: ontluchtingsprogramma van ca. 7 min. actief;
9 Ontlucht de gehele cv-installatie: begin op het laagste punt;
10 Controleer waterdruk en vul eventueel bij tot 1,5 tot 1,7 bar;
11 Zorg dat de koudwaterkraan en de vul- en aftapkraan gesloten zijn;
12 Koppel de vulslang los;
Na beëindigen van het ontluchtingsprogramma (c1 05)van ca. 7 minuten zal
de ketel weer functioneren.
Controleer regelmatig de waterdruk en vul indien nodig bij. De bedrijfsdruk in
de installatie moet in koude toestand tussen de 1,5 en 1,7 bar zijn.
Het kan enige tijd duren voordat alle lucht uit een pas gevulde installatie is verdwe-
nen. Zeker in de eerste week kunnen geluiden hoorbaar zijn die wijzen op lucht. De
automatische ontluchter in de ketel zal deze lucht laten verdwijnen, waardoor de
waterdruk gedurende deze periode kan dalen en er water bijgevuld moet worden.

In geval van bv. vakantie:
Verwarming en warmwater UIT:
Druk op de - toets van beide toetsen totdat de
laagste waarde is bereikt. Laat de toets los en
druk nogmaals op de - toets. Het display toont
--.Het programma is daarmee uitgeschakeld. De
pijl links is uit.
In geval van werkzaamheden aan de CV-in-
stallatie:
Zorg dat er geen warmtevraag is: geen geopende
warmwaterkraan en kamerthermostaat laag. Trek
de stekker uit de wandcontactdoos. Indien de in-
stallatie wordt afgetapt, moet u er rekening mee
houden dat een deel van het verwarmingswater
in de ketel achterblijft. Zorg dat het resterende
CV-water in de ketel bij vorstgevaar niet kan be-
vriezen.
6 Het buiten bedrijf stellen van de ketel

Af fabriek staat de warmwatervoorziening in-
gesteld op Comfort. Dit houdt in dat er direct
beschikking is over warmwater bij het openen
van de warmwaterkraan. Indien gewenst kan er
gekozen voor een Eco-stand. Dit houdt in dat bij
tappen het iets langer duurt voordat er warmwater
uit de warmwaterkraan komt. Dit is afhankelijk van
leidinglengte tussen CV-ketel en tappunt en de
actuele temperatuur CV.
Instelling wijzigen:
Druk 3 seconden op de OK-toets.
Beeldscherm toont 'P6 (afgewisseld met) 81';
Druk 1x op de Scroll-toets;
Beeldscherm toont 'P6 (afgewisseld met) 84';
Druk op de OK toets;
Beeldscherm toont 'b0';
Druk 1x op de Scroll-toets;
Beeldscherm toont 'b1';
Druk op de OK toets;
Beeldscherm toont 'on' (=Comfort);
Verstel de waarde door middel van de + of de
- toets naar 'of' (= Eco);
Druk kort op de OK-toets om de nieuwe instel-
ling te bevestigen.
Beeldscherm toont weer de gekozen parameter
Druk op de ESC-toets totdat de standaard uit-
lezing weer getoond wordt.
Als gedurende 8 minuten geen enkele toets is
gebruikt verschijnt automatisch de standaard uit-
lezing op het beeldscherm.

Af fabriek staat de pomp ingesteld op automa-
tisch. Dit houdt in dat de pomp inschakelt op het
moment van warmtevraag voor CV of warm water.
Indien nodig kan de pomp ook continu functio-
neren. Hiervoor moet de volgende handelingen
uitgevoerd worden:
Druk 3 seconden op de OK-toets.
Beeldscherm toont 'P6 (afgewisseld met) 81';
Druk 1x op de Scroll-toets;
Beeldscherm toont 'P6 (afgewisseld met) 84';
Druk op de OK toets;
Beeldscherm toont 'b0';
Druk op de OK toets;
Beeldscherm toont 'of' (= automatisch);
Verstel de waarde door middel van de + of de
- toets naar 'on' (= continu) ;
Druk kort op de OK-toets om de nieuwe instel-
ling te bevestigen.
Beeldscherm toont weer de gekozen parameter
Druk op de ESC-toets totdat de standaard uit-
lezing weer getoond wordt.
Op het beeldscherm verschijnt rechtsonder een
pijltje ter indicatie dat de pomp nu continu ge-
schakeld is.
Als gedurende 8 minuten geen enkele toets is
gebruikt verschijnt automatisch de standaard uit-
lezing op het beeldscherm.

In geval van vorst is het
advies de circulatie-

draaien om de kans op
bevriezing van leidingen
te reduceren.

In geval van een storing (dit wordt aangegeven
door een c en nummercode op het beeldscherm)
kunt u proberen de storing op te heffen door op de
Reset-toets te drukken. Indien de storing zich blijft
voordoen, neem dan spoedig contact op met uw
installateur en geef de nummercode door.
Er zijn ook meldingen met een c en nummercode
die geen storingen zijn. Deze meldingen heffen
zichzelf naar verloop van tijd of na bijvullen (of
aftappen) op. Het bedienen van de reset-toets
heeft dan geen effect, bijvoorbeeld:
c1 05 ontluchtingsprogramma actief (ca. 7 min.)
c1 17 waterdruk te hoog
c1 18 waterdruk te laag
Indien er lekkages in het toestel optreden, neem
dan contact op met uw installateur.
Ontluchtingsprogramma actief
Sluit met uw installateur een onderhoudsovereen-
komst af zodat het toestel periodiek gecontroleerd
en afgesteld wordt.
De mantel van het toestel bestaat uit kunststof
delen, die met een normaal (niet agressief) reini-
gingsmiddel schoon te maken zijn.
Zie voor de garantievoorwaarden de Garantie-
kaart die bij de ketel is geleverd.

These operating instructions describe the func-
tioning and the operating of the ATAG A boilers.
This manual is for the end user. For installation
and servicing there is an installation & servicing
instructions manual for the installer.
Read this manual fully before operating the boiler.
In case of doubt or errors contact your installer.
ATAG Heating reserves the right to change the
specications and dimensions without prior notice.
Work on the boiler must be carried out by a com-
petent person, (Ref: Gas Safe Register) using
correctly calibrated instruments with current test
certication.
When replacing parts use only ATAG Service parts.
Contact details for ATAG Heating UK Ltd can be
found on page 25 of this manual.

The Benchmark Scheme
ATAG Heating UK Ltd is a licensed member of
the Benchmark Scheme which aims to improve
the standards of installation and commissioning
of domestic heating and hot water systems in the
UK and to encourage regular servicing to optimise
safety, efciency and performance.
Benchmark is managed and promoted by the
Heating and Hotwater Industry Council. For more
information visit www.centralheating.co.uk
Please ensure that the installer has fully comple-
ted the Benchmark Checklist on the inside back
pages of the installation instructions supplied with
the product and that you have signed it to say that
you have received a full and clear explanation of
its operation. The installer is legally required to
complete a commissioning checklist as a means
of complying with the appropriate Building Regu-
lations (England and Wales).
All installations must be notied to Local Area
Building Control either directly or through a Com-
petent Persons Scheme. A Building Regulations
Compliance Certicate will then be issued to the
customer who should, on receipt, write the Noti-
cation Number on the Benchmark Checklist.
This product should be serviced regularly to opti-
mise its safety, efciency and performance. The
service engineer should complete the relevant
Service Record on the Benchmark Checklist after
each service.
The Benchmark Checklist may be required in the
event of any warranty work and as supporting
documentation relating to home improvements
in the optional documents section of the Home
Information Pack.“

Work on the installation should only be carried out
by qualied personnel with calibrated equipment.
When replacing parts, only ATAG Service
components may be used.
If you smell gas:
- No naked ames! No smoking!
- Do not switch lights on or off or use other
electrical switches.
- Do not use the phone
- Close the gas mains
- Open windows and doors
- Warn the occupants and leave the building
- Only call the gas company or installer once you
are outside the building.
Corrosion protection
Do not use sprays, chlorine-containing cleaning
products, solvents, paints etc. in the vicinity of the
device or its air supply. These substances have
an adverse impact on the device and can lead to
corrosion that may result in failures.
Checking the heating water
Regularly check the water pressure of the heating
installation
Always use potable water for lling the installation.
Adding chemical agents such as frost and
corrosion inhibitors are only to be added by your
installer.
If in doubt, check with your installer or ATAG
Heating UK Ltd (See contact details on page 25).

The ATAG A is a closed, condensing and
modulating CH boiler with or without an
integrated hot water supply which meets the
European standard (CE).
A declaration of conformity can be obtained from
the manufacturer.
The efficiency of the boiler is very high and
the radiation convection and standby losses
very low. The emission of noxious substances
is far below the fixed standards so the boiler is
SEDBUK Class A rated.

The boiler is equipped with a door at the front. After
opening the door you will nd a brief overview of
the meaning of all the keys and icons. These are
described below.
4 Display and function keys
4.1 Reset-key
The reset key restarts the boiler after a malfunction
has occurred.
In case of a failure the symbol is displayed
with a Cx xx code.
In other cases the Reset button has no function
and will not respond when operated.
See 9 for a brief overview of codes.

Press – until the lowest value is reached and then
press – again.
