This label is attached to the place as illustrated to inform that
the apparatus contains a laser component.

This label is placed inside the unit. As shown in the illustration. To warn
against further measures on the unit. The equipment contains a laser
radiating laser rays according to the limit of laser product of class 1.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. READ INSTRUCTIONS - All the safety and operating instructions should be read
before the appliance is operated.
2. RETAIN INSTRUCTIONS - The safety and operating instruction should be retained
for future reference.
3. HEED WARNINGS - All warnings on the appliance and in the operating
instructions should be adhered to.
4. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS - All operating instructions should be followed.
5. WATER AND MOISTURE - The appliance should not be used near water, for
example, near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundrytub, swimming pool or
in a wet basement.
6. VENTILATION - The appliance should be situated so that its location or position
does not interfere with its proper ventilation. Do not place on bed, sofa, rug or
similar surface that may block the ventilation openings, in a built-in installation,
such as a bookcase or cabinet that may impede the flow of air through the
ventilation openings.
7. HEAT - The appliance should be situated away from heat sources such as
radiators, stoves, or other appliances (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
8. POWER SOURCE - The appliance should be connected to power supply only of
the type described in the operating instructions or as marked on the appliance.

12. ESD WARNING - The display does not function properly or no reaction to
operation of any the control may due to the electrostatic discharge. Switch off
and unplug the set. Reconnect after a few seconds.
13. DAMAGE REQUIRING SERVICE - The appliance should be serviced by qualified
service personnel when:
a. The power-supply cord or plug has been damaged.
b. Objects have fallen into, or liquid has been spilled into the appliance enclosure.
c. The appliance has been exposed to rain.
d. The appliance has been dropped, or the enclosure damaged.
e. The appliance does not appear to operate normally.
14. SERVICING - The user should not attempt to service the appliance beyond that
described in the user operating instructions. All other servicing should be referred
to qualified service personnel.
Notes:
a. Dirty or scratched CD may cause a skipping problem. Clean or replace the CD.
b. If an error display or malfunction occurs, disconncet the AC cord and remove all
the batteries. Then turn the power back on.
BEFORE OPERATION
Notes: CONCERNING COMPACT DISCS.
Since dirty, damaged or warped discs may damage the appliance, care should be
taken of the followings items:
a. Usable compact discs. Use only compact disc with the mark shown below.
b. CD compact disc only with digital audio signals.
POWER SOURCES
AC POWER
You can power your portable system by plugging the detachable AC power cord into
the AC inlet at the back of the unit and into a wall AC power outlet. Check that the
rated voltage of your appliance matches your local voltage. Make sure that the AC
power cord is fully inserted into the appliance.

BATTERY POWER
Insert 8 x "C" size batteries into the battery compartment. Be sure that the batteries
are inserted correctly to avoid damage to the appliance. Always remove the batteries
when appliance will not be used for a long period of time, as this will cause leakage
to the batteries and subsequently damage to your set.
Notes:
• Use batteries of the same type. Never use different types of batteries together.
• To use the appliance with batteries, disconnect the AC power cord from it.
BATTERY INSTALLATION
Insert 2 x "AAA" size batteries into the battery compartment. Be sure that the batteries
are inserted correctly to avoid damage to the remote control. Always remove the
batteries when the remote control will not be used for a long period of time, as this
will cause leakage to the batteries and subsequently damage to your set.
Notes:
• Use batteries of the same type. Never use different types of batteries together.
• If the distance required between the remote control and the appliance decreases,
the batteries are exhausted. In this case replace the batteries with new one.
SENSOR WINDOW OF THE RECEIVER
• Even if the remote control is operated within the effective range, its operation may be
impossible if there are any obstacies between the appliance and the remote control.
• If the remote control is operated near other appliances which generate infrared
rays, or if other remote control devices using infrared rays are used near the
appliance, it may operate incorrectly.
RADIO OPERATION
AUTOMATIC TUNING
• Press the "FUNCTION" button to select "TUNER" mode.
• Press and hold the "SKIP +" or "SKIP -" button over 3 seconds to start automatic
tuning process.
• When a station is tuned in the tuning process, it will stop automatically and you
can listen to your desired station.
MANUAL TUNING
It is for selecting stations, which cannot be tuned automatically. (manual selection) To
tune a channel manually.
• Skip step 3 in the above procedures.
• In step 2, each time the "SKIP +" or "SKIP -" button is pressed momentarily (0.5
second or less), the frequency changes by a fixed step: FM: 0.1 MHz steps.
MEMORY PRESET
• Repeat step 1 to 3 in the AUTOMATIC TUNING procedures.
• Press the "MEMORY" button on the remote to start the preset process.
• Display will show the memory sequence number and a flashing "01".
• Press the "FOLDER +" or "FOLDER -" button on the remote to determine the preset
station number.
• Press again the "MEMORY" button on the remote to preset your desired station.
• Once all the stations were preset, press the "FOLDER +" or "FOLDER -" button on
the remote to listen to your desired station.
Notes:
FM can be stored up to 30 stations.
MONO / STEREO
• Press the "MONO / ST." button to achieve the best frequency.
CD / MP3 OPERATION
GENERAL OPERATION
PLAY / PAUSE
Press to start playing CD / MP3 disc.
Press again to stop playing CD / MP3 operation temporarily.
Press again to resume playback.
SKIP +
Press to go to the next track or back to the previous track.

SKIP -
Press and hold while playing until you find the point you want to play.
STOP
Press to stop all CD / MP3 operation.
PLAYBACK
• Open the CD door and place a CD / MP3 disc with the label up in the CD compartment.
• Close the CD door.
• Press the "FUNCTION" button to select "CD / MP3" mode.
• Focus search is performed if disc is inside. Playback will start automatically from
the first track.
• Adjust the "VOLUME" control to the desired level.
• Press the "PLAY / PAUSE" button when you want to stop playback temporarily.
• Press the "STOP" button when finished.
FOLDER SELECT
Press the "FOLDER +" or "FOLDER -" button to select folder. ( Folder select function
can only operate if disc store with at least 2 directories / files. )
CD / MP3 OPERATION
PROGRAM
Be sure to press the "STOP" button before use.
• For CD disc, press the "MEMORY" button, the display will show "00 P-01". For MP3
disc, press the "MEMORY" button, the display will show "F00 P-01".
• Select desired track by using the "SKIP +" or "SKIP -" button. ( For MP3, select
a desired album by pressing "FOLDER +" or "FOLDER -" button. And press
"MEMORY" button to confirm folder number. Too will appear to select desired track
by using the "SKIP +" or "SKIP -" button.)
• Press the "MEMORY" button again to confirm desired track into the program memory.
• Repeat step 2 and 3 to enter additional tracks into the program memory.
• When all the desired tracks have been programmed, press the "PLAY / PAUSE"
button to play the disc in the order you have programmed.
• Press the "STOP" button twice to terminate programmed playback.
REPEAT
Press the "REPEAT" key of remote control during playing CD / MP3 disc, each press
switches the repeat function as follows:
1. REPEAT 1
2. REPEAT ALBUM ( *MP3 ONLY )
3. REPEAT ALL
4. NORMAL PLAYBACK
IPOD DOCK
GENERAL OPERATION
PLAY / PAUSE
Press to start playing tracks from the iPod.
Press again to stop playing iPod operation temporarily.
Press again to resume playback.
SKIP +
Press to go to the next track or back to the previous track.
SKIP -
Press and hold while playing until you find the point you want to play.
STOP
Press to stop all iPod operation.
PLAYBACK
• Press the "FUNCTION" button to select "IPOD" mode.
• When iPod is docked, the system will initialize the communication with iPod.
• Power On command is sent to the iPod to wake up it.
• Play command is sent afterward to auto play the iPod.
• Corresponding command is sent to iPod when key is pressed.
• Playback starts automatically. You can select available features (such as paly/pause,
skip track, fast forward/backward, menu selection) during playback.

CHARGING
Charging iPod battery using the dock.
• In any mode, directly dock your iPod portable player on the cradle for charging.
* Charging IPOD / IPHONE only can work when AC power supply. When the host
use battery power, do not charging for IPOD / IPHONE.
OTHER FEATURES
EQ
Press the "EQ" button on remote control, each press switch the EQ function as
follows:
1. CLASSIC
2. ROCK
3. POP
4. JAZZ
5. FLAT (NORMAL)
Notes:
• The player not responsible for playability of MP3 in any case. Due to recording
condition such as PC performance, writing software, media ability or etc.
• For CD-RW, CD-R, it may not be played according to the type of this disc.
ID3 TAG (FOR MP3 ONLY)
1. Press once "INFO" button, LCD display shows "ID3 ON" and ID3 text will show on display.
2. Press again, the LCD display shows "ID3 OFF" and terminate ID3 mode.
Notes:
Due to various solutions, ID3 text function may not be played.
INTRO
1. Press the "INTRO" button during play disc to play each song for 10 seconds.
2. Press the "INTRO" button again to resume normal playback.
3. Not available on memory playback.
MUTE
1. Press the "MUTE" button to stop the sound during playing disc.
2. Press the "MUTE" button again to resume the sound.
OTHER FEATURES
RANDOM
1. Press the "RANDOM" button on remote control during playing disc, the appilance
will select and play a track randomly.
2. Press the "RANDOM" button again to terminate random mode.
3. The function is not available on program playback.
SLEEP
1. Press the "SLEEP" button on remote control, display will show "SLEEP 90". That
means, after 90 minutes, appliance will automatically turn to standby mode.
2. Press the "SLEEP" button again to select the automatically turn off time, from 90,
80, 70, 60, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10 minutes.
3. Press the "SLEEP" button to "SLEEP 00" to canel sleep function.
AUX IN
Select AUX mode to listen to external audio devices connected through the 3.5mm
Auxiliary Stereo Line-In jack. Press FUNCTION to select AUX mode.
1. Use a 3.5mm Male-to-Male Stereo cable to connect any external audio device with a
3.5mm Headphone or Line-Out jack to the AUX IN jack on the front panel of the appliance.
2. Start playabck on the external audio device. Adjust the volume on the audio
device (do not set the volume too high to avoid distortion). You may also adjust
the volume on the appliance.
3. To control playback function, use the controls provided by the external audio device.

OTHER FEATURES
CLOCK SETTING
1. Press the "STANDBY" button to switch unit at standby mode.
2. Press the "CLOCK" button and hold for few seconds to entry clock set mode. The
display will show "24H" and flashing.
3. Adjust time format ( 12H / 24H ) by pressing the "SKIP +" or "SKIP -" button.
4. Press the "CLOCK" button to confirm time format, display will show "AM 12:00" or
"PM 12:00" if 12H format is set or "00:00" if 24H set.
5. Adjust hour by pressing the "SKIP +" or "SKIP -" button, press the "CLOCK" button
to confirm.
6. Adjust minute by pressing the "SKIP +" or "SKIP -" button, press the "CLOCK"
button to confirm.
Notes:
Because clock setting is at standby mode, the display is dim.
TIMER SETTING
Timer setting must be after completed clock setting.
1. Press the "STANDBY" button to switch unit at standby mode.
2. Press the "TIMER" button to entry timer set mode.
3. The display will show "TIMER ON", and AM 12:00 or PM 12:00 if 12H format is set
or 00:00 if 24H is set.
4. Adjust hour by pressing the "SKIP +" or "SKIP -" button, press the "TIMER" button
to confirm.
5. Adjust minute by pressing the "SKIP +" or "SKIP -" button, press the "TIMER"
button to confirm.
6. The display will show "TIMER OFF", and AM 12:00 or PM 12:00 if 12H format is set
or 00:00 if 24H is set.
7. Adjust hour by pressing the "SKIP +" or "SKIP -" button, press the "TIMER" button
to confirm.
8. Adjust minute by pressing the "SKIP +" or "SKIP -" button, press the "TIMER"
button to confirm.
9. The display show input source by pressing "SKIP +" or "SKIP -" (Chose CD, i-Pod or
Tuner). Chose the input and press "TIMER" button to confirm the selection.
10. The display show volume level pressing "SKIP +" or "SKIP -" to adjust the volume
level and press "TIMER" button to confirm the selection.
11. After confirmation the unit display show "TIMER ON TIME", "TIMER OFF TIME",
"INPUT SOURCE" and "VOLUME LEVEL" and unit go to standby mode.
12. Press the "TIMER" button to activate timer on / off function.
13. If you want to adjust the timer, press and hold "TIMER" button for 2 sec. It go to
timer setting mode. Follow steps from 4.
14. Press and hold the "PLAY / PAUSE" button over 5 sec. to cancel all timer setting.
Follow steps from 4.
OTHER FEATURES
SNOOZE
• SNOOZE must be after completed timer setting.
• When the timer is triggered. You may press the "SNOOZE" button on the remote
control to delay the alarm for another 9 minutes.
MENU / ENTER / MENU DN / MENU UP
MENU / ENTRE / MENU DN / MENU UP button is only for iPod / iPhone.
• When playing iPod / iPhone, press the "MENU" button to back to previous menu.
• Press the "ENTER" button to menu selection.
• Press the "MENU DN" or "MENU UP" to select next menu.
• Press the "ENTER" button again to select a desired menu or track.
• When All the desired tracks have been selected, pree the "ENTER" button to play.

WAARSCHUWING
1. WAARSCHUWING: Raadpleeg vóór het installeren of het bedienen van het

VEILIGHEIDSINSTRUCTIES
1. LEES DE GEBRUIKSAANWIJZING - Alle veiligheid- en bedieningsinstructies
moeten worden gelezen voordat het apparaat wordt bediend.
2. BEWAAR DE INSTRUCTIES - De veiligheid- en de bedieningsinstructies moeten
voor toekomstige referentie worden bewaard.
3. AANDACHT BESTEDEN AAN WAARSCHUWINGEN - Alle waarschuwingen op het
apparaat en in de bedieningsinstructies moeten worden opgevolgd.
4. OPVOLGEN VAN INSTRUCTIES - Alle bedieningsinstructies moeten worden
opgevolgd.
5. WATER EN VOCHT - Het apparaat mag niet in de buurt van water worden ge-
bruikt, bijvoorbeeld bij een badkuip, wasbak, gootsteen, wasteil, het zwembad of
in een vochtige kelder.
6. VENTILATIE - Het apparaat moet zodanig worden opgesteld, zodat de plaats of
positie niet storend is voor een goede ventilatie. Plaats niet op een bed, sofa,
tapijt of een soortgelijk oppervlak dat de ventilatieopeningen kan blokkeren, in
een inbouwinstallatie, zoals een boekenkast of kast, die de luchtstroom door de

10. HOOGSPANNNINGSLIJNEN - Een buitenantenne moet uit de buurt van hoogs-
panningslijnen worden geplaatst.
11. BINNENDRINGEN VAN VOORWERPEN EN VLOEISTOFFEN - Er moet worden
opgelet, dat voorwerpen en gemorste vloeistoffen niet via de openingen in de
behuizing terechtkomen.
12. ESD WAARSCHUWING – Wanneer de display niet naar behoren werkt of niet
reageert op de acties van de bedieningselementen, kan dat veroorzaakt zijn
door een elektrostatische ontlading. Schakel de set uit en haal de stekker uit het
stopcontact. Sluit na een paar seconden weer aan.
13. SCHADE DIE GEREPAREERD MOET WORDEN - Het apparaat moet door gekwalifi-
ceerd personeel worden gerepareerd, wanneer:
a. Het netsnoer of de stekker beschadigd is.
b. Voorwerpen of vloeistoffen in de behuizing van het apparaat zijn terechtgekomen.
c. Het apparaat blootgesteld is aan regen.
d. Het toestel is gevallen of als de behuizing is beschadigd.
e. Het apparaat niet normaal lijkt te functioneren.
14. ONDERHOUD - De gebruiker mag geen ander onderhoud aan het apparaat ver-

WISSELSPANNING
U kunt uw draagbare systeem voeden door het afneembare netsnoer in de AC-
ingang aan de achterkant van de eenheid en in een muurcontactdoos te steken.
Controleer of de nominale spanning van uw apparaat met uw plaatselijke spanning
overeenkomt. Zorg ervoor dat het netsnoer volledig in het toestel is gestoken.
BATTERIJVOEDING
Plaats 8 x “C”-formaat batterijen in het batterijvak. Zorg ervoor dat de batterijen
correct zijn geplaatst om schade aan het apparaat te voorkomen. Verwijder altijd de
batterijen wanneer het apparaat voor een lange periode niet gebruikt zal worden,
omdat anders lekkage aan de batterijen en vervolgens schade aan uw set zal worden
veroorzaakt.
Opmerkingen:
• Gebruik batterijen van hetzelfde type. Gebruik nooit verschillende types batterijen
samen.
• Om het apparaat met batterijen te gebruiken, ontkoppel het netsnoer.
BATTERIJ PLAATSEN
Plaats 2 x “AAA”-formaat batterijen in het batterijvak. Zorg ervoor dat de batterijen
correct zijn geplaatst om schade aan de afstandsbediening te voorkomen. Verwijder
altijd de batterijen wanneer de afstandsbediening voor een lange periode niet
gebruikt zal worden, omdat anders lekkage aan de batterijen en vervolgens schade
aan uw set zal worden veroorzaakt.
Opmerkingen:
• Gebruik batterijen van hetzelfde type. Gebruik nooit verschillende types batterijen
samen.
• Als de benodigde afstand tussen de afstandsbediening en het apparaat
vermindert, dan zijn de batterijen bijna leeg. In dat geval vervang de batterijen
door nieuwe.
SENSORVENSTER VAN DE ONTVANGER
• Zelfs als de afstandsbediening binnen het effectieve bereik wordt gebruikt, kan
de werking ervan verhinderd worden als er obstakels tussen het apparaat en de
afstandsbediening aanwezig zijn.
• Als de afstandsbediening in de buurt van andere apparaten wordt bediend die
infrarode stralen produceren, of indien andere afstandsbedieningen met infrarode
stralen in de buurt van het apparaat worden gebruikt, kan het apparaat niet goed
functioneren.
BEDIENING VAN DE RADIO
AUTOMATISCH AFSTEMMEN
• Druk op de “FUNCTIE”-knop om de “TUNER”-modus te selecteren.
• Druk op en houd de “OVERSLAAN +” of “ OVERSLAAN -”-knop langer dan 3
seconden ingedrukt om het automatische afstemproces te starten.
• Wanneer tijdens het afstemproces op een station wordt afgestemd, zal het
automatisch stoppen en kunt u naar de gewenste zender luisteren.
HANDMATIG AFSTEMMEN
Het is voor het selecteren van zenders, die niet automatisch kunnen worden af-
gestemd. (handmatige selectie) Om een kanaal handmatig af te stemmen.
• Sla stap 3 in de bovenstaande procedures over.
• In stap 2, telkens wanneer de “OVERSLAAN +” of “ OVERSLAAN -”-knop kort (0,5
seconde of minder) wordt ingedrukt, wijzigt de frequentie met een vaste stap:
FM: Stappen van 0,1 MHz
GEHEUGEN VOORINSTELLING
• Herhaal stap 1 tot en met 3 in de “AUTOMATISCH AFSTEMMEN”-procedures.
• Druk op de “GEHEUGEN”-knop op de afstandsbediening om het
voorinstellingsproces te starten.
• De display zal het volgnummer van het geheugen en een knipperende “01”
weergeven,

OPLADEN
De iPod-batterij met behulp van de dock-slede opladen.
• In elke modus, plaats direct uw draagbare iPod-speler in de slede voor het
opladen.
* Het opladen van IPOD / IPHONE kan alleen werken wanneer de netvoeding is

digen.
3. De functie is niet beschikbaar bij geprogrammeerd afspelen.
SLAPEN
1. Druk op de “SLAPEN”-knop op de afstandsbediening, en de display zal “SLAPEN
90” tonen. Dat betekent dat na 90 minuten het toestel automatisch naar de
stand-by-modus zal overschakelen.
2. Druk nogmaals op de “SLAPEN”-knop om de automatische uitschakeltijd van 90,
80, 70, 60 of 50, 40, 30, 20, 10 minuten te selecteren.
3. Druk op de “SLAPEN”-knop om met “SLAPEN 00” de slaapfunctie te annuleren.
AUX IN
Selecteer de AUX-modus om naar externe audioapparatuur aangesloten via de
3,5mm “Auxiliary Stereo Line-In”-aansluiting te luisteren. Druk op de “FUNCTIE”-knop
om de AUX-modus te selecteren.
1. Gebruik een 3,5mm mannelijk-naar-mannelijk stereokabel om elk extern audio-
apparaat met een 3,5mm hoofdtelefoon- of “Line Out”-aansluiting aan te sluiten
op de “AUX IN”-aansluiting op het voorpaneel van het apparaat.
2. Start het afspelen op het externe audioapparaat. Stel het volume op het audioap-
paraat in (zet het volume niet te hoog om vervorming te voorkomen). U kunt ook
het volume op het apparaat zelf instellen.
3. Om de afspeelfunctie te regelen, maak gebruik van de bedieningsknoppen van
het externe audioapparaat.

1. Druk op de “STAND-BY”-knop om de eenheid in de stand-by-modus te schakelen.

13. Als u de timer wilt aanpassen, druk op en houd de “TIMER” knop voor 2 seconden

SLUIMEREN
• SLUIMEREN moet na het voltooien van het instellen van de timer worden
ingesteld.
• Als de timer wordt geactiveerd. U kunt op de “SLUIMEREN”-knop op de
afstandsbediening drukken om het alarm voor nog eens 9 minuten uit te stellen.

10. LIGNES ÉLECTRIQUES : Veillez à ce que l’antenne extérieure loin des lignes élec-
triques.
11. ENTRÉE D’OBJETS ET DE LIQUIDE : Évitez de faire tomber des objets ou de
déverser des liquides dans les ouvertures de l’enceinte de l’appareil.
12. AVERTISSEMENT D.E.S. : Si l’’écran ne fonctionne pas correctement ou s’il ne réagit pas
à l’utilisation des commandes, une décharge électrostatique en est peut-être la cause.
Éteignez l’appareil et débranchez-le. Rebranchez-le au bout de quelques secondes.
13. DOMMAGES NÉCESSITANT UNE RÉPARATION : L’appareil doit être réparé par un
réparateur qualifié si :
a. Le cordon d’alimentation ou la prise d’alimentation ont été endommagé.
b. Des objets sont tombés ou du liquide s’est déversé dans l’enceinte de
l’appareil
c. L’appareil a été exposé à la pluie.
d. L’appareil est tombé ou l’enceinte est endommagée.
e. L’appareil présente des dysfonctionnements.
14. RÉPARATIONS : L’utilisateur ne doit jamais tenter de réparer l’appareil lui-même
autrement que ce qui est décrit dans le mode d’emploi. Toute autre intervention
doit être confiée à un technicien qualifié.
Remarques :
a. Un CD sale ou rayé peut causer des interruptions de lecture. Nettoyez ou
remplacez le CD.
b. En cas d’erreur d’affichage ou de dysfonctionnement, débranchez le cordon CA et
sortez toutes les piles. Rallumez ensuite l’appareil.

Comme les disques sales, abîmés ou voilés peuvent endommager l’appareil, prenez
soin des disques suivants :
a. Disques compacts utilisables. N’utilisez que des disques compacts où figure la
marque indiquée ci-dessous.
b. Disques compacts CD seulement à signal audio numérique.
