To operate the accessory associated with Channel 3, press and hold the Option button of
yourkeychaintransmitter for four seconds.
NOTE: You may access the Channel 3 command regardless of whether the system is
"locked" or "unlocked", but not when the ignition switch is in the on position. This is to
prevent the output from accidentally opening the vehicle's trunk when the vehicle is in
motion.
ADDITIONALREMOTEFUNCTIONCHANNEL4
Thesystem has an additional output, (Channel4) ,that can beconnected to a numberof
differentoptionalaccessories. Someof the more common uses for this channel are:
!RemoteEngineStart
!RemoteWindow Close
!RemoteGarage DoorInterface
To operate theaccessoryassociated with Channel4,simultaneouslypressboth buttons of
yourkeychaintransmitterwhichwereconfiguredandprogeammedforthisfunction.
NOTE: Thechannel4outputwill remain active for as long as the transmitter buttons are
held. Certainaccessoriesmay take advantage oftheextendedoutput capability
ofthischannel. Todiscontinuethe output,simply releasethetransmitterbuttons.
IGNITIONDOORLOCKING/UNLOCKING
Thesystemis capable of being programmed for the added safety and securityof ignition
controlled door locking and unlocking. These features are separate, so the unit may be
programmedfor one, or both,orneither.
When the ignitiondoorlocking featureisprogrammed,the systemwillcauseall door locks
tolock whenever the ignition switch is turned from theoff to on position, (providing thatall
doorsareclosedat thattime). All doorswilllockapproximately3secondsafter thevehicle's
ignitionswitch is turned on. Thisisanice feature formaintainingthepersonal safety ofthe
occupants ofthevehicle,inaneffortlessand automatic manner.
When the ignition door unlocking feature is programmed, the system will cause all door
lockstounlockwhenever the ignition switch is turned from the ontooffposition. Alldoors
willunlockimmediately after the vehicle's ignition switch isturnedoff.If2 Step unlock was
installed,onlythedriver's door will unlock.
Asstatedthese features are programmedseparately,soyoumay chose to use one, both,
orneither. Pleaseconsultwithyourdealertoconsideryouroptions.
TWOSTEPUNLOCK(ACCESSGUARD)
Bypressingtheunlockbuttonofthekeychaintransmitterasyouwouldnormally,(Please
seethesectiontitled"UnlockingTheSystem",earlierinthismanual),the systemwilldisarm,
andonlythedriver'sdoorwillunlock. Ifhowever,you should then decide instead thatyou
wantall doorsto unlock,youcan simplypresstheunlockbutton asecondtimeandall doors
willunlock.
