YOUR“ANTI-CODEGRABBING“TRANSMITTERS:
Thetransmitters included withyour new remotestart systemuse the mostadvanced and
secureform ofradio frequency transmission available onany currentautomotive remote
system.Someoftoday’ssophisticated auto thievesuse adevice known asa code grabber,
whichwill receive andstorethe signal fromyourkeychain transmitter, and re-transmitat a
latertimetodisarm your system.
Youranti-codegrabbingtransmitters willchangetheirsignaleverytimethebuttonis pressed,
sowhen athief grabs then re-transmits yoursignal, thealarm system
willnot
respond.
If your transmitter button is pressed more than fifty times while it is out of range of the
vehicle( children playingwith your keys), the transmitterwillnot operatewhenyou return
to the vehicle, and will need to be re-aligned to the receiver. To do this, simply press the
Lock/Unlockbutton two times withinaonesecondtimeperiod.Thesystemwillnow respond
tothattransmitter each timeabutton is pressed.
ARMINGTHE SYSTEM- ACTIVE:
1.Turn the engineoff, exit thevehicle, and closeall doors, hoodandtrunk.
2.Pressand release the Arm/Disarmbuttonofyour key chaintransmitteronetime.
Theparking lights willflashonce, the sirenwill chirp once,andthe dash mountedLED will
begin to flash slowly confirming the system is armed. If you have the optional door lock/
unlockcircuit installed, thedoorswill lock.
Note: Ifthesiren chirped three times,thenyou have left adoor, hood, ortrunkajar. Simply
closing that opening will provide full protection. If your vehicle has delayed interior
lighting,youmayalso get three chirpswhenarming. Oncethelight turns off, youwill
hearone chirp confirming full arming. If thesirendidnotsoundwhenarming,thenthe
chirps have been turned off. Refer to the section on "Eliminating the Arm/Disarm
Chirps"shownlater in thismanual.
SILENTARMING -ACTIVE:
1.Turn the engineoff, exit thevehicle, and closeall doors, hoodandtrunk.
2.Press and holdthe Arm/Disarm buttonof yourkey chain transmitterfor two seconds.
The parking lights will flash once, and the dash mounted LED will begin to flash slowly
confirmingthesystemis armed. The siren willnot chirp. Ifyouhavetheoptional door lock/
unlockcircuit installed, thedoorswill lock.
Note: Ifthe siren chirpsthree times, thenyouhave left adoor,hood, or trunkajar. Simply
closingthat openingwill provide full protection. Ifyour vehiclehas delayed interior
lighting,youmayalsogetthreechirpswhenarming. Once the light turns off, youwill
hearonechirpconfirming full arming.
ARMINGTHE SYSTEM -PASSIVE (AUTOMATIC)
Ifthe passive armingfeaturehas been selected:
1.Turn the engineoff, exit thevehicle, and closeall doors, hoodandtrunk.
The dash mounted LED will begin to flash rapidly indicating that the 30 second passive
armingtimer has begun. If the LED does not begin to flashrapidly,thenyouhaveleftadoor,
hood,ortrunkajar. Closing this entry point will allow the arming cycle will begin. If any entry
point is opened during the 30 second arming cycle, arming will be suspended. When all
