Equalizer function cs is in ROCK, CLAS or POP mode.
4BASS CONTROL
Toadjust thebasslevel (equalizer functioninactive),first selectthe
Bass mode by pressing the SEL button 3so the BAS indication
appears on the display panel. Within 3 seconds of choosing the
Bass mode, rotate the AUDIO CONTROL knob 2in the DN
direction to decrease the bass response, or in the UP direction to
increaseit as desired. Thelevel will beshownon the displaypanel
from a minimum of BAS -12 to a maximum of BAS +12 (BAS 00
indicates flat response). The display will automatically return to
the normal indication 3 seconds after the last adjustment or when
anotherfunction is activated.

5TREBLE CONTROL
To adjust the treble level (equalizer function inactive), first select
theTreblemodebypressingtheSEL button3sotheTRE indication
appears on the display panel. Within 3 seconds of choosing the
Treble mode, rotate the AUDIO CONTROL knob 2in the DN
direction to decrease the treble response or the UP direction to
increaseit as desired. Thelevel will beshownon the displaypanel
from a minimum TRE -12 to a maximum of TRE +12 (TRE 00
indicates flat response). The display will automatically return to
the normal indication 3 seconds after the last adjustment or when
anotherfunction is activated.
6LEFT/RIGHTBALANCE CONTROL
To adjust the left-right speaker balance, first select the Balance
modebypressingtheSEL button 3sotheBAL indicationappears
on the display panel. Within 3 seconds of choosing the Balance
mode,rotate the AUDIO CONTROL knob 2intheDN direction to -4-
adjust the stereo balance to the left channel speakers or the UP
direction to adjust it to the right channel speakers. The balance
positionwill be shown on the displaypanelfrom BAL L16 (full left)
toBALR16 (fullright). When thevolume levelbetweenthe leftand
right speakers is equal, BAL 00 will be shown on the display
panel. Thedisplay willautomaticallyreturn tothenormal indication
3 seconds after the last adjustment or when another function is
activated.
7FRONT/REARFADERCONTROL
Toadjustthe front-rearspeaker balance,first selectthe Fadermode
by pressing the SEL button 3so the FAD indication appears on
thedisplaypanel. Within3secondsofchoosingtheFadermode,
rotatethe AUDIOCONTROL button2in theDN directiontoadjust
the front-rear speaker balance to the rear speakers or the UP
direction to adjust it to the front speakers. The fader position will
beshown onthedisplay panelfromFAD R16 (fullrear)toFAD F16
(fullfront). Whenthelevelbetweenthefrontand rear speakers is
equal, FAD 00 willbe shown onthedisplay panel. The display will
automatically return to the normal indication 3 seconds after the
lastadjustmentorwhen another function is activated.
8LOUDNESSCONTOUR (LOUD)
Whenlistening tomusicat low volumelevels, this featurewill boost
the bass and treble ranges to compensate for the characteristics
of human hearing. Press the button momentarily to activate this
feature; the LOUD indication will appear on the display panel.
Pressing the button again momentarily will deactivate the feature
(the LOUD indicationwilldisappear from the display panel).
9AM/FMCHANNEL SELECTOR (BAND)
Each time this button is pressed, the radio band is changed. The
indicationAM1, AM2, FM1, FM2 orFM3 will appear on thedisplay
panelaccording to your selection.
