designedtooptimizethe enjoymentofyourfavoriteDVDsinthemo-
bileenvironment.ThisDVDPlayerisconstructedtoprovideyearsof
reliable,trouble-freeservice.Pleasereadthismanualthoroughlyprior
tooperatingtheplayerandsaveitforfuturereference.
B. Precautions

Thelightingflashwitharrowheadsymbolwithinan equilateral
triangle, is intended to alert the user to the presence of
uninsulated‘dangerousvoltage’withintheproduct’senclosure
thatmaybe ofsufficientmagnitudetoconstituteriskofelectric
shock.
Theexclamationpointwithinanequilateraltriangleisintended
toalerttheusertothepresenceofimportantoperatingandmain-

theappliance.

SAFETY PRECAUTION
Forsafetyreasons do not allow childrentounfastenseat-beltsto change
video media or make any adjustments to the system. Enjoy your enter-
tainment system but always remember the safety of all passengers is
the number one priority.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
It is unlawful in most states for a person to drive a motor vehicle which is
equipped with a television viewer or screen that is located in the motor
vehicle at any point forward of the back of the driver’s seat, or that is
visible, directly or indirectly, to the driver while operating the vehicle. In
the interest of safety, this system should never be installed where it will
be visible, directly or indirectly, by the operator of the motor vehicle.
1. OBJECT AND LIQUID
Do not insert objects of any kind into the system through its open-
ings; do not spill or spray liquid on or into the system (this may
resultin a fire or electric shock). Do notplace heavy objects onthe
unit.To ensureproper ventilationandproperoperation,never cover
or block the slots and openings.
2. DISASSEMBLE
Do not attempt to disassemble the unit. There is a risk of electric
shock and/or exposure to Laser Radiation. Contact qualified ser-
vice personnel if your system is in need of repair.
3. CLEANING UNIT
Whencleaning, makesurethe systemisunplugged from thepower
source. Do not use any solvents or cleaning solutions. Clean the
DVDplayerusinga lightly dampened lint free cloth to wipe the unit.

4. DISC
Do not use irregularly shaped discs such as heart or star-shaped
discs as they may cause the unit to malfunction. Do not stick pa-
per, tape or glue on the disc. Do not expose the disc to direct sun-
light or heat sources. Do not touch the surface of the disc. Handle
the disc by its edges. Clean the disc by wiping the disc from the
center out with a soft lint free cleaning cloth. Remove the disc from
the unit and store it in its case after playing. Some playback opera-
tions of discs may be intentionally fixed by software producers.
The unit plays discs according to the disc contents the software
producers designed therefore some playback features may not be
available. Refer to the instructions supplied with the discs.
5. Powering the DVD Player
This system MUST be powered from a switched (Accessory)
power source as indicated on the marking label. Power should be
applied to the unit when the ignition key is in the run and/or acces-
sory positions. Use only the supplied power cable provided with
this set to avoid electric hazards.
6.Operation
Whenthetemperaturerisesdramaticallyfromaverylowtempera-
ture,moisturemay condenseinside theAVD300Tandcause the
DVDplayertomalfunction.IftheAVD300Tdoesnotoperateprop-
erlyundertheseconditionsleavetheAVD300Tturnedonforatleast
30minutesforthemoisturetoevaporate.

G.Playing
After connecting power to the unit, press the power button on the
main unit momentarily. The power light will increase in brightness.
Insertthediscintotheslotonthefrontofthe unit,theunitwillloadthe
discand start playingautomatically:If there’sa discinside theunit,
pressthePOWERbutton,theunitwillstartplayingautomatically.

2. MENU
A DVDis dividedintosectionscalledtitlesandchapters. Whenyou
playaDVD,arootmenuofthediscwillappearonthescreenofyour
TVorMonitor. Contentsofthemenuwillvarydependingonthedisc
content.PressMENUduringplaybacktodisplaytherootmenu. Some
DVDsonlyallow youto selectdisc playbackoptions usingthe DVD
rootmenu.
3. DISPLAY
1). PLAYING TIME AND REMAINING TIME
a.Duringplayback press the‘DISPLAY’ button todisplay the cur-
rent Title Number(1),thetotalNumber ofTitles(2), thecurrent
ChapterNumber (3),the totalNumberof Chapters(4), andthe
elapsedTime for the title (5). The heading will disappear auto-
maticallyafter3secondsifno other buttonsarepressed.
b.Press‘DISPLAY’againtodisplaytheRemainingTimeof thetitle.
Theheadingwill disappearautomatically in3seconds.

c. Press ‘DISPLAY’ a 3rd time to display the Elapsed Time for the
chapter. The heading will disappear automatically in 3 seconds.
d.Press‘DISPLAY’a 4th time to display theRemainingTime for the
chapter. The heading will disappear automatically in 3 seconds.
e. Press ‘DISPLAY’ a 5th time to exit, ‘DISPLAY OFF’ will be dis-
played and will disappear automatically in 3 seconds.
2).ANGLE
During playback of a disc, press ‘ANGLE’ to display the number
of the available angles for discs containing multi-angles*, with the
current angle number (1) and the total number of angles (2).
Press ‘ANGLE’ to select another angle, then press again to exit
and return to the normal viewing angle. The angle display will
disappear automatically if the ‘ANGLE’ button is not pressed again
within 3 seconds.
*NOTE: Notalldiscs containthis feature.

3). SUBTITLE
During disc playback press ‘SUBTITLE’ to select the desired sub-
title language* current Subtitle Language Number (1) and the total
Number of Subtitle Languages (2) will be displayed. If there are
multiple languages press ‘SUBTITLE’ again to select another sub-
title language. To turn subtitles OFF, press the ‘SUBTITLE’button
until ‘SUBTITLE OFF’ is displayed. The Subtitle display will disap-
pear automatically if the ‘SUBTITLE’ button is not pressed again
within 3 seconds.

4). AUDIO
During playback press ‘AUDIO’ to select the desired audio lan-
guage * current Audio Channel Number (1) and the total number
of Audio Channels (2) will be displayed. PressAUDIO again to
select another audio language. The audio display will disappear
automatically if the ‘AUDIO’ button is not pressed within for 3
seconds.
*SomeDVDswillonlyallow access tothisfunction through the
DVDmenu.
5). ZOOM
Duringplayback press ‘ZOOM’ toenlargethepicture by 2x, 3x or4X
with the current zoom multiple displayed. Press “zoom” once, the
picture will be enlarged 2X. Press “zoom a ”second time ,the pic-
turewillbe enlarged 3X. Press “zoom a ”3rdtime ,the picture will be
enlarged4X. Press “zoom”4th time, the picturewill return tonormal
size.

6). A-B REPEAT
a. During playback press ‘A-B’ to set the Starting Point A.

b. Press ‘A-B’ a second time to set the Ending Point B and the
player will repeatedly play the part between PointAand Point B.

c. Press ‘A-B’ a third time to cancel A-B repeat and resume
normal playback.

7). REPEAT
a.Duringplaybackpress‘REPEAT’oncetorepeatedlyplay the cur-
rent chapter.

4. PLAYING AUDIO CDS
When playing an audio CD press the DISPLAY button on the remote
toviewtimeinformation. Theoptionsbelowshowyouwhatinformation
is available using this function.
1).Thecurrent trackandplayingtimeof thattrackwill be displayedon
the screen.
2).Press‘DISPLAY’one timeandSINGLE REMAIN appearsalongwith
the current track playing and the amount of time left in that track.

3).Press ‘DISPLAY’ twice and TOTAL ELAPSED appears along with
the current track playing and the total time that the CD has been
playing.

4).Press ‘DISPLAY’ three times and TOTAL REMAIN appears along
with the current track playing and the amount of time remaining on
the CD.

5).Press‘DISPLAY’ fourtimesandDISPLAYOFF willappearmomentarily
thendisappear. ThedisctimeInformationwillnolongerbedisplayed.
USING THE REPEAT FEATURE
The default mode for the Repeat feature is OFF. Pressing REPEAT
consecutively changes the repeat options:
•TRACK- repeats the track that is playing.
•ALL- repeats the disc that is playing.
•OFF
As you toggle through the options, the repeat option changes. The
selected repeat option loops repeatedly until its turned off.

InsertanMP3 and theDVD playerwillinitializethediscandthedirectory
(folder)willbeshownontheTVscreen.
MENU Screen Display
WhenanMP3 disc is inserted into the unit,themenuscreenappears
automatically. You can use the menu screen to change folders and
songs. The system plays the songs in the order they were burned
onto the disc.
1. Press the or button to choose a folder from the folder list
on the left side of the screen.
2. Press ENTER to select the highlighted folder. All songs avail-
able under the selected folder will be listed.
3. Use or button to choose a song from the list then press
PLAY to play the selected song.
5. PLAYING MP3 DISCS
MP3 is a digital audio format. An audio CD-quality song is
compressed into the MP3 format with no significant loss of audio
quality. CD-R /RW discs that have been encoded in MP3 format are
compatible with this device.

Use the ( NEXT ) button to move to the next song. Press the
(PREVIOUS) button to move to the beginning of the song.
USING THE REPEAT FEATURE
The default mode for the Repeat feature is OFF. Pressing REPEAT

• RANDOM(random play)
• SINGLE(play single song only)
• REPEAT ONE(repeat playback of a song)
• REPEAT FOLDER(repeat playback of a specific folder)
• FOLDER(normalplayback)
Press REPEATuntil folderisdisplayedandtheunitwillresumenormal
playback. Asyoutogglethroughtheoptions,therepeatoptionchanges.
Selectedrepeatoptionloopsrepeatedlyuntilyouturnitoff.
