BGM2
Description
The Australian Monitor Installation Series BGM2 is a one rack unit, dual program
source that features an AM/FM tuner and single disc CD player.
The on-board tuner has two FM bands and one AM band, with each band being
capable of recalling 6 user selectable preset stations. The CD player is fully
programmable up to 20 tracks and includes Shuffle and Repeat single track or
Repeat all track functions. The BGM2 is supplied with a 15 VDC plug pack power
supply, AM/FM antenna and rack mounting kit.
The BGM2 also boasts individual stereo outputs from both the Tuner and CD player
as well as a stereo mixed priority output (tuner will play unless a CD is inserted).
The BGM2 provides a high quality, rack space friendly and extremely well featured
dual background music source at a contractor friendly price.
Operation - CD Player
Playing CDs: This CD player accepts all 12cm discs including CD-R and CD-RW.
Track Selection and Programming Functions: Up to 20 tracks can be
pre-programmed into the BGM2’s CD player with a specified playback order.
Operation - Tuner
The tuner features two FM and one AM band. Stations may be selected manually
or via auto scan. They may be recalled by any of the six presets. An LCD display
provides easy viewing of all functions.
Priority Output
The BGM2 features a STEREO PRIORITY OUTPUT, in addition to the separate
Stereo outputs for the CD and Tuner. The Priority Output will output the signal from
the BGM2’s tuner until a CD is inserted and played. Then the CD output will
override the tuner signal and appear at the priority output. As soon as the CD
player stops, the tuner signal will return automatically. This feature allows the user
to utilise only one input on their mixer/amplifier for both CD and Tuner
background programs.
