WARNING
It is the responsibility of the vehicle operator to ensure their vehicle
is parked in a safe and responsible manner.
1. a) Manual transmission: When lea ing the ehicle, it is the user’s
responsibility to ensure that the gearshift le er is in the NEUTRAL
position and the parking brake is engaged in order to a oid accidents
upon remote starting.
b) Automati transmission: When lea ing the ehicle, it is the user’s
responsibility to ensure that the gearshift le er is in “Park” in order to
a oid accidents upon remote starting.
(Note: Make sure that the automatic ehicle cannot start in "Dri e".)

or put into alet mode before ser icing.

Introduction
This is a state-of-the-art remote car starter system. The system is packed with ad anced features
such as priority access to the dri er’s door (commodity features) and the Safe Start children safety
feature.
With many ad anced functions, this product will satisfy any one your expectations from high-end
commodity and security systems, without neglecting any standard feature commonly offered by
entry-le el starters.

Using the Remote Control
Your remote starter is equipped with a 5-button multi-channel remote control. It can operate two
independent ehicles equipped with a remote starter (see Multi-Car Operation section, later in this
Guide, for second-car transmitter functions).
The fun tions of the transmitter are as follows:
Vehicle resets
Heater & Heated Seat
When lea ing the ehicle it is recommended to preset the accessory controls in preparation for the
next remote start. Settings for the blower motor (fan), front and rear, as well as heated seats (if
equipped) should not be left on HIGH . It is recommended to lea e the settings on LOW or MEDIUM
instead.
Windshield Wipers, Radio & Headlights
Certain ehicles require the radio and / or windshield wipers and / or headlights circuits to become
energized while running under remote start. When lea ing the ehicle you must ensure that the
windshield wipers and headlights switches are OFF . Lea ing the headlights switch ON on certain
types of ehicles could cause them to remain ON e en after remote starter shutdown, resulting in a
dead battery.
Arming the Starter Kill
The Starter Kill (if installed) can be configured by the installer either to Passive Mode (so as to arm
automatically) or A tive Mode (so as to require the user’s inter ention for arming). By default, the
Remote Car Starter is configured to Passive Mode.
 Passive mode:
•To arm the Starter Kill, press the LOCK button on the transmitter, OR
•In Passi e Mode, the Starter Kill will also automatically arm 1 minute (by default) or 3 minutes
(if configured this way) after the ignition is turned
OFF or once the last door is closed (if the
doors are monitored).
- The LED on the antenna will flash qui kly during the ountdown pre eding the
a tivation of the Starter Kill.
- On e the a tivation ountdown expires, the LED will send a series of qui k double
flashes to indi ate that the Starter Kill is now armed.

•To disarm the Starter Kill, press the UNLOCK button on the transmitter.
- The Starter Kill will automati ally rearm itself after 1 minute (by default) or 3 minutes
(if onfigured this way) if no door is left opened (if the doors are monitored) and the
ignition is not turned ON .
A tive Mode:
•To arm the Starter Kill, press the LOCK button on the transmitter.
- The parking lights will flash on e.
- The LED on the antenna will flash slowly.
- If remote door lo ks are installed, this will also lo k the doors and arm the OEM-style
alarm.
•To disarm the Starter Kill, press the UNLOCK button on the transmitter.
- The parking lights will flash twi e.
- The LED on the antenna will remain OUT .
- If remote door lo ks are installed, this will also unlo k the doors.
Remote-Starting Your Vehicle
If your ehicle has an automati transmission, simply press the START/STOP button to remote start
or stop your ehicle. Skip the next steps on to “Remote-starting”.
Setting Your Vehicle into Ready Mode
If your ehicle has a manual transmission you must read the following indications. In order to
start the ehicle by remote, the unit must first be set to Ready Mode. If the unit is not set to Ready
Mode, it cannot remote start the ehicle.
Please note that Ready Mode an be enabled by the remote or the handbrake, depending on
the option that was sele ted by your installer. Therefore, you must follow the appropriate
pro edure between the two des ribed below in order to set your vehi le into Ready Mode.
Once the system is set to Ready Mode, the ehicle can be remote started and stopped at any time.
The system will exit Ready Mode if a door, the hood or the trunk is opened, if the brake pedal is
pressed, if the parking brake is disengaged or if the ignition key is turned to the IGNITION ON (RUN)
position.
To set the system to Ready Mode:
If Ready Mode is enabled by remote If Ready Mode is enabled by handbrake
1. Ensure that all the doors, hood and trunk are closed. Make sure that the gear selector is in the
neutral position.
2. With the engine already running, apply the
parking brake on e and release the brake
pedal.
Make sure to release the brake pedal.
2. With the engine already running, apply the

Make sure to release the brake pedal.
The parking lights will flash 3 times
qui kly and remain lit.
Skip to step 4.
3. Within 20 sec. of engaging the parking
brake, press and hold LOCK, UNLOCK or
START/STOP on the transmitter.
The parking lights will flash 3 times
qui kly and remain lit.

4. Remo e the key: the engine will continue running.
5. Exit the ehicle and close all doors, hood and trunk.
6. Press for approx. 1 second either:

a. LOCK to lock the doors and shut down the engine;
b. UNLOCK to unlock the doors and shut down the engine;
c. START/STOP to shut down the engine without affecting the doors.
Note: The ehicle will also enter Ready Mode once the engine run time expires.
Remote-starting
Press the START/STOP button for approximately 1 second. The parking lights will come ON to inform
you that the Remote Car Starter has recei ed your signal. Approximately 5 seconds later, the
engine will start. The parking lights will remain ON during the pre-programmed run time of the
engine.
If the ehicle does not start at the first attempt, the system will shut down, wait a few seconds and
try to start the engine again. If your ehicle is equipped with an automatic transmission, there will
be 3 start attempts before the system gi es up.
Driving Off
With the ehicle running under remote control, press the UNLOCK button to disarm the Starter Kill
and/or the OEM-style alarm (if installed) and unlock the doors. Enter the ehicle and do the
following:
1. Turn the ignition key to the IGNITION ON (RUN) position. (Do not turn the key to the CRANK
position while the engine is running. This would cause the starter motor to re-engage.)
2. Press the brake pedal to disengage the remote starter unit.
You are now ready to dri e off.
Remote Starter Features
Idle Mode
Convenien e feature: Idle Mode allows the user to keep the engine running and the doors
locked while they stop, for example, at a con enience store or for a short deli ery.
This feature allows the user to let the remote starter take o er control of the ehicle (i.e. no Key in
the Ignition Switch) while the engine is running.
If the vehi le has an automati transmission, pro eed as follows to set the system to Idle
Mode:
1. With the engine running, make sure to release the brake pedal and press the LOCK, UNLOCK or
START/STOP button on the transmitter until the parking lights come ON .
2. Remo e the ignition key from the ignition switch.
The engine will ontinue running.
3. Exit the ehicle and close all doors, hood and trunk.
4. Press the LOCK button to lea e the doors locked.
This will also arm the OEM-style alarm and starter kill (if onfigured).
5. Press the UNLOCK button to lea e the doors unlocked.

Note: The engine will continue running until the user re-enters the ehicle or until the expiration of
the engine run time.
If the ehicle has a manual transmission, Idle Mode can be acti ated through the same routine
as that used for Ready Mode (see “Ready Mode Option” in this Guide); at the last step, the
TRUNK button is pressed instead of the other buttons.
Please note that the horn will honk on e and that the OEM-style alarm will be armed if the
Idle Mode option is enabled.
Note: If the pre-programmed run-time expires or if the user shuts down the engine by remote
control, the ehicle will enter Ready Mode.

Caution!!! Do not lea e children or pets unattended in a ehicle standing in Idle Mode.
Valet Mode
When your ehicle is in Valet Mode, the remote starter and alarm (if configured) functionalities are
disabled. If the ehicle needs to be ser iced, or if you park it indoors, the Valet Mode will pre ent
the engine from being remote-started accidentally.
Any of the following features will put your remote ar starter into Valet Mode:
•Ignition Valet: This feature allows you to put your system into Valet Mode by
using the ignition key.
•Remote valet: This feature allows you to put your system into Valet Mode by
using the transmitter.
•Valet swit h: This feature allows you to put your system into Valet Mode by using a
push button swit h (optional).
To put the system i n t o Valet Mode
•To put the system i n t o Valet mode using the KEY (Ignition Valet Mode):
a. Insert the ignition key into the ignition switch. Within 10 sec., turn the key 5 times
successi ely into the IGNITION/RUN and OFF positions.
The parking lights will flash three times.
b. Turn the ignition OFF.
The LED on the antenna will ome ON solid to indi ate that the vehi le has
su essfully entered Valet mode.
•To put the system i n t o Valet mode using the TRANSMITTER (Remote Valet Mode):
a. Press the UNLOCK and START/STOP buttons simultaneously.
The remote will beep on e.
b. Keep pressing the UNLOCK and START/STOP buttons simultaneously until the remote beeps
on e more.
c. Release the UNLOCK and START/STOP buttons.
Both UNLOCK and START/STOP buttons will flash 3 times.
The parking lights will flash 3 times qui kly and the LED on the antenna will ome
ON solid to indi ate that the vehi le has su essfully entered Valet mode.
•To put the system i n t o Valet mode using the PUSH BUTTON SWITCH (Valet Swit h
Mode):
a. Insert the ignition key into the ignition switch.
b. Turn the key into the ON position.
c. Within 5 seconds, press the push button switch until the parking lights flash 3 times.
d. Release the push button and turn the ignition to the OFF position.
The LED on the antenna will ome ON solid to indi ate that the vehi le has
su essfully entered Valet mode.
To put the system o u t o f Valet Mode
•To put the system o u t o f Valet mode using the KEY (Ignition Valet Mode):
a. Insert the ignition key into the ignition switch. Within 10 sec., turn the key 5 times
successi ely into the IGNITION/RUN and OFF positions.
The parking lights will flash twi e.
b. Turn the ignition OFF.
The LED on the antenna will flash qui kly to indi ate that the vehi le is now out of
Valet mode.
•To put the system o u t o f Valet mode using the TRANSMITTER (Remote Valet Mode):
a. Press the UNLOCK and START/STOP buttons simultaneously.
The remote will beep on e.

b. Keep pressing the UNLOCK and START/STOP buttons simultaneously until the remote beeps
on e more.
c. Release the UNLOCK and START/STOP buttons.
Both UNLOCK and START/STOP buttons will flash 3 times.
The parking lights will flash twi e and the LED on the antenna will flash qui kly to
indi ate that the vehi le is now out of Valet mode.
•To put the system o u t o f Valet mode using the PUSH BUTTON SWITCH (Valet Swit h
Mode):
a. Insert the ignition key into the ignition switch.
b. Turn the key into the ON position
c. Within 5 seconds, press the push button switch until the Parking lights flash twi e.
d. Release the push button and turn the ignition to the OFF position.
The LED on the antenna will flash qui kly to indi ate that the vehi le is now out of
Valet mode.
anic Mode
Note: Panic mode can only be acti ated if the horn has been adequately configured by your
installer.
In an emergency situation, you can acti ate panic mode by pressing and holding the START/STOP
button for more than 3 seconds, until the horn starts honking. If the ehicle is under a remote start,
the engine will shutdown automatically before setting off the horn. You can stop the horn by
pressing:
(this will lo k your doors and dea tivate pani mode), or
(this will unlo k your doors and dea tivate pani mode).
Furthermore, the panic mode can be stopped by acti ating one of the following three (3) features:
a) Remote alet (pressing UNLOCK and START/STOP for at least 3 seconds)
b) Ignition alet (turning the key inside the ignition switch from OFF to ON 6 times in a row)
c) By turning the key to the ON position and pressing the alet switch (if included) until the
parking lights flash 5 times.
Panic Mode will automatically shut down after 30 sec.
Quick LockoutTM
(Also called Se ure Pani .) For fast protection in emergency situations, the system will LOCK all
doors when you press the brake pedal while you hear the sound signal. (Qui k Lo kout is
only a ailable when Pani Mode has been set off.)
Cold Weather Mode
If the ehicle has a manual transmission, Ready mode should be set before entering Cold
Weather mode. When Cold Weather Mode is acti e, the engine starts e ery 2 hours and runs for 3
minutes (or for 8 or 20 minutes with diesel engines). Cold Weather Mode automatically ends after
24 hours (or 12 starts).
To enter Cold Weather Mode:
•Press and release the AUX button.
The LOCK button on the transmitter will light up.
•While the LOCK button is still lit up, press the START/STOP button.
The transmitter will beep on e.
•Keep pressing the
START/STOP button until the transmitter beeps twi e.
•Release the START/STOP button.
Its LED will flash qui kly.
The parking lights will flash 3 times.

To exit Cold Weather Mode, do any one of the following a tions:
•Open the hood.
•Start the engine by remote.
•Turn the ignition key to the IGNITION ON (RUN) position.
•Press and release the AUX button.
The LOCK button on the transmitter will light up.
While the LOCK button is still lit up, press the START/STOP button.
The transmitter will beep on e.
Keep pressing the START/STOP button until the transmitter beeps on e
Release the START/STOP button.
Its LED will flash qui kly.
The parking lights will flash on e.
To verify whether the system is in Cold Weather Mode (automati transmissions only):
•Press the brake pedal:
•If the ehicle is in cold weather mode, the parking lights will stay on while the
pedal is pressed.
The Starter Kill and the Anti-grind Feature
With this added security feature, the system will pre ent your ehicle from starting with the ignition
key when the Starter Kill is armed. If your Remote Car Starter was installed with the Starter Kill
option, one will not be able to start your ehicle with the key unless the system has been unlocked
and disarmed first, or put into Valet Mode.
Note: If the Starter Kill is installed, your ehicle will benefit from a protection against starter
motor damage that could occur after remote-starting the engine should the user, by force of
habit, turn the ignition key to the CRANK position.
Extended Run Time
With the ehicle running under a remote start, pressing and holding the START/STOP button for more
than 3 seconds will reset the run time counter to zero and restart the run time cycle from the
beginning:
•Press and hold the START/STOP button for more than 3 seconds.
The transmitter will beep on e.
•Keep pressing on the START/STOP button until the transmitter beeps 3 times.
•Release the START/STOP button.
The START/STOP button will flash 3 times.
The parking lights will also flash 3 times slowly to onfirm the extended run time
(the horn will also honk on e if the horn option is onfigured).
To stop the ehicle, at any moment, simply press the START/STOP button. This pro edure an only
be arried out on e per remote start.
Example: If your Module is programmed for a run time of 3 minutes and your ehicle has been
running for 2 minutes already, pressing the START/STOP button will reset the counter to zero and the
Engine will run for another cycle (in this case, 3 minutes).
Advanced Features: Installation-programmable Options
The remote car starter was designed with flexibility and OEM integration in mind. With its program-
mable options, this unit can single-handedly control nearly any electrical system in your ehicle.
Caution : The programming of your system should be left to a professional. Changing any
one of the settings may affect the operation of your Remote Car Starter. Please note that the
following programmable options may require additional parts and labor.

assive or Active Arming of the Starter Kill
See section “Arming the Starting Kill” earlier in this guide.
OEM-Style Alarm
The OEM-style alarm (if configured by your installer) monitors the doors, hood and ignition switch
of your ehicle. It will sound the horn if a door or the hood is opened, or if the key is turned in the
ignition.
•To arm the OEM-style alarm, press the LOCK button on the transmitter.
- The OEM-style alarm will ONLY arm if the LOCK button on the transmitter is pressed.
-The LED on the antenna will flash slowly to indi ate that the OEM-style alarm is now
armed.
•To disarm the OEM-style alarm, press the UNLOCK button on the transmitter.
- To stop the horn from sounding if the OEM-style alarm is triggered, press the LOCK or
UNLOCK button, or put the system in and out of Valet Mode (ignition valet, remote valet or
using the valet swit h – for more information, see the “Valet Mode” se tion earlier in
this Guide).
Remote Door Locks
If your Remote Car Starter was installed with the Remote Door Locks option, you will ha e the
con enience of remote keyless entry. See section “Arming the Starter Kill”, earlier in this Guide,
for further instructions on remote door locking and unlocking.
riority Door Access
If the Remote Door Locks option is installed on your ehicle, this safety feature allows you unlock
solely the dri er’s door with a single press of the UNLOCK button on the transmitter; upon a second
press of the UNLOCK button within 6 seconds, all the other doors will unlock.
Ignition-controlled Door Locks
This is an added security feature. If your Remote Car Starter was installed with the Ignition-
Controlled Door Locks option, the doors will automatically be locked as soon as the ignition key is
turned to the IGNITION ON (RUN) position while the brakes are pressed. The remote car starter will
also lock any door that was unlocked and opened (then closed) the next time the break pedal is
pressed. When the key is turned to the OFF position, the doors will automatically be unlocked.
Ignition Relock
On Remote Car Starters of this series, when Ignition-controlled Door Locks are enabled and the
ignition key is in the IGNITION ON (RUN) position, should any door be unlocked and opened, all doors
will be relocked the next time the brake pedal is pressed.
Secure Lock
(Disabled by default.) Before your ehicle can be remote-started, the factory security system must
first be disarmed. The Secure Lock feature may be required on certain ehicle models with factory
security systems that automatically unlock the doors when the security system is disarmed.
To keep your ehicle protected when the factory security system is disarmed for a remote start,
Secure Lock will relock your doors as soon as the ehicle is started. Once the engine is shut down
by remote or after its runtime has expired, Secure Lock will also rearm your factory security system
and relock the doors.
Remote Trunk Release
If your system was installed with the Remote Trunk Release option, you can open your trunk by
pressing the
TRUNK button for 3 seconds. The OEM alarm will be disarmed until the LOCK button is
pressed.

Safe Start
If this feature is enabled, the user must press the START/STOP button twice within 3 seconds to
remote-start the ehicle. This will eliminate accidental remote starts, e.g. when children are playing
with the transmitter.
•To remote-start your ehicle if Swap Start Mode is selected, press AUX and then LOCK .
•The AUX 2 output can be acti ated by pressing the START/STOP button.
Installer- rogrammable Valet Mode
“Home Valet™” Mode
If configured at installation, this feature will set the ehicle to a no-remote-start mode: if the ehicle
is parked indoors, there is no danger of it starting accidentally by remote control.
Note: Once the Home Valet Mode is acti ated, the ehicle will not start by remote but the
OEM alarm functions will still be enabled.
To take the system i n t o Home Valet Mode:
•Press the LOCK or UNLOCK button.
•Within 3 seconds, press the START/STOP and LOCK buttons simultaneously.
The transmitter will beep twi e.
•Release the START/STOP and LOCK buttons.
The START/STOP and LOCK buttons will flash twi e and the parking lights will ome ON for 2
se onds.
To take the system o u t o f Home Valet Mode:
•Turn the ignition key to the IGNITION ON (RUN) position.
The system will warn you if someone attempts to start your ehicle while it stands in Home Valet
Mode:
•The transmitter will beep twi e.
•The START/STOP and LOCK buttons will flash twi e.
•The parking lights will:
Turn ON then OFF ; then
Flash twi e, pause; then
Flash twi e again.
Turbo Mode
If Turbo Mode is configured at installation, it will allow a turbocharger to idle down after the user
lea es the ehicle: the unit will take o er the ehicle and keep it running for 60 seconds (or until it
is shut down by remote control), then shut down the engine.
If the vehi le has an automati transmission, pro eed as follows to set the system to Turbo
Mode:
1) With the engine running, make sure to release the brake pedal and press the LOCK, UNLOCK or
START/STOP button on the transmitter until the parking lights come ON .
2) Remo e the ignition key from the ignition switch.
The engine will ontinue running.
3) Exit the ehicle and close all doors, hood and trunk.
4) Press the TRUNK button; this will lo k the doors, arm the OEM-style alarm (if
onfigured|) and onfirm that the vehi le is in Turbo Mode.
5) The engine will shut down after 60 se onds.
If the vehi le has a manual transmission, follow all steps of the Ready Mode routine (see
“Ready Mode Option” in this Guide) to a tivate Turbo Mode. At the last step, press either:
1) LOCK to lock the doors and ha e the engine shut down after 60 seconds;
The parking lights will flash 3 times and remain lit.
The OEM-style alarm and starter kill (if onfigured) will be armed.
