Overview
Overview
4KSP18-P is a 1x8 HDMI splitter for HDMI 2.0 with 4k@60Hz 4:2:0 8 bit
which reliably distributes one HDMI source signal to 8 HDMI displays.
It also provides EDID management which provides multiple EDID
options for various output resolutions, and HDCP management which
authenticates HDCP encryption between all devices, ensuring the
HDMI source reliably outputs correct content for display.
Additional features include input cable equalization and signal
regeneration compensation, which reduces the need for additional
signal conditioning equipment by compensating for signal loss when
using a long input cable or cascading multiple units.

EDID Presets
EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) is data generated from
each display in the system to communicate the capabilities of the
device. The splitter features an EDID copy mode that can be used
when the EDID does not meet the installation requirements. The EDID
mode has several options available to encourage device
communication.
Note: Repower the device to make the change effective.

Note:
If failed to copy EDID, the device will output 1080p with stereo
audio.
Smart EDID:
Splitter is built-in 5 EDID: 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 HDR; 4K@60Hz 4:2:0
HDR; 4K@30Hz 4:4:4 HDR; 1080P@60Hz 2ch and 720P@60Hz 2ch.
when the device is power on, it will compares all the EDID of
display devices and choose the lowest resolution to compare
with the 5 EDID that are built-in the splitter, finally select the one
from the 5 EDID which can be supported by the lowest EDID
display to the input source. In addition, the splitter will detect the
output signals of every time plug, unplug, sink standby or sink on
to select the appropriate EDID as above process.
Take 4K as an example:

Overview
First, switching a 4k source to 4K TV, the splitter will automatically
output 4K signal to 4K TV.
Then, switching a 4k source to 1080P TV, the splitter will
automatically output 1080P signal to 1080P T V.

Finally, switching the 4K source to 4K TV and 1080P TV, the
splitter will automatically output 1080P signal to both 4K TV and
1080P TV.

Installation Instructions
Installation Instructions
1. Using a quality HDMI cable, connect an HDMI source (such as
Blu-ray, games console, satellite/cable TV, media server etc.) to
HDMI IN port of the splitter.
Note: Ensure power supplies are disconnected from all devices before
installation.
2. Connect HDMI display devices (LED/LCD display or projector) to
the HDMI OUT ports of the splitter.
3. Insert the 12V power adapter into the power input port of the
splitter and connect to power supply after ensuring the source
and displays are properly connected.
4. Check that the Power and HDMI IN/OUT LEDs on the front panel
are fully lit for correct connection. If not, check cable
connections.
Note: Both source and display devices must be powered on for the
splitter to detect device connections.

Warranty
Warranty
Products are backed by a limited 3-year parts and labor warranty. For
the following cases AV Access Technology Limited shall charge for the
service(s) claimed for the product if the product is still remediable and
the warranty card becomes unenforceable or inapplicable.
1. The original serial number (specified by AV Access Technology
Limited) labeled on the product has been removed, erased,
replaced, defaced or is illegible.
2. The warranty has expired.
3. The defects are caused by the fact that the product is repaired,
dismantled or altered by anyone that is not from an AV Access
Technology Limited authorized service partner. The defects are
caused by the fact that the product is used or handled
improperly, roughly or not as instructed in the applicable User
Guide.
4. The defects are caused by any force majeure including but not
limited to accidents, fire, earthquake, lightning, tsunami and war.
5. The service, configuration and gifts promised by salesman only
but not covered by normal contract.
6. AV Access Technology Limited preserves the right for
interpretation of these cases above and to make changes to
them at any time without notice.
