Introduction
Overview
AVA-SP18-H00 is a 1:8 slim splitter for HDMI with Ultra HD 4K support.
It reliably distributes one HDMI source signal up to eight HDMI displays.
The HDCP compliant splitter supports resolutions up to 4K@30Hz and
1080p@60Hz. This splitter features two advanced technologies: EDID
management, which provides three EDID options for different
resolutions output, and HDCP management, which authenticates HDCP
encryption between all devices, ensuring the HDMI source reliably
outputs correct content for display.
It is ideal for applications, such as offices, schools, conferences rooms,
shopping malls, hotels or museums, which require the distribution of an
HDMI source signal to multiple displays.

Support signal transmission distance up to 50 feet (15 meters) at 4K

Reshapes marginal or noisy HDMI signals, ensuring a strong,
stable digital signal.
Supports EDID management, which provides multiple EDID options
for various resolutions output and ensures that the HDMI source
reliably outputs correct content for display.
Provides RS232 port for updating firmware.

Hardware Installation
1. Connect an HDMI source device (such as a Blu-Ray, games
console, media server etc.) to the input port splitter using quality
HDMI cables.
2. Connect eight HDMI display devices (LED/LCD display or projector)
to the output port of the splitter.
3. Connect the power adapter to the splitter and power on all devices.

EDID Management
The splitter features EDID management, which provides three EDID
options for different resolutions output and ensures that the HDMI
source reliably outputs correct content for display.
The following table lists the EDID information built in the splitter. You can
toggle the switch to a certain position to read EDID from a specific
output or to directly use the EDID information.

Note: After you change the EDID, repower the splitter for the
changes to take effect.

Install Flash Loader Demo on PC
Note: It supports Microsoft Windows X P, Windows Vista and Windows 7,
take Windows XP as an example.
Step 1. Double click the setup file.

Step 3. Click Yes.

Step 5. Click Next, it starts to install.

Step 6. Click Finish.
Hardware Connection
Connect the PC to the splitter by USB-to-UART cable.
Update
Step 1. Open Flash Loader Demo.
Double click
Or go to start menu to run the program.

Step 2. Configure the splitter as shown in the following figure, power on
the splitter and then click Next immediately.

Step 3. The following page comes up.

Step 4. Choose STM8_32K from the drop dwon list, and then click Next.

Step 5. Choose Download to device, browse for the HEX or .S19 file,
choose Global Eras, click Next.

Step 6. Download successfully, as shown in the following figure.

Troubleshooting
1. Why the display device connected to the splitter shows no
picture?
Check that all the devices are on and working properly.
Check that all the cables are qualified and connected
properly.
Check that the correspondingly numbered output LED
indicator is on.
Check that the display device works properly and that the
source device has normal signals output.
Check that EDID DIP switch is in the right position.
Make sure that the display device supports HDCP.
Check the length of HDMI cable.
Check that no compatibility issues exist between the splitter
and display device. If so, replace the display device with other
models.
2. Why the display device connected to the splitter displays snow
or mosaic?
Check that all the cables are qualified and connected
properly.
Make sure that the display device supports HDCP.
Check that the input sources have no problems.
Check that no compatibility issues exist between the splitter
and display device. If so, replace the display device with other
models.
