-The purpose of this guide is to assist in installing or disassembling Avalon
A-Series Products.

6. Recommended Tools
-1x Drill
-1x PH2 Hex Shank Screwdriver Bits
-1x anti-static wristband
-1x anti-static gloves
-1x anti-static outfit
Caution:
Please put on anti-static wristbands, gloves and clothes before disassembling machines.
Ground the wristbands correctly and apply a proper amount of torques to the screw
fasteners.

Disassemble Procedures
Step 1:

⚫Disconnect Fan3 and Fan4’s
power supplies.
⚫Remove the two fixed screws.
⚫Remove the lid by pushing
along the direction of the red
arrow as shown on next.

⚫Remove all the connectors
among Hash boards and the
MM board.
Step 5:
⚫Plug out the power supply
connector (small white)
⚫Plug out the temperature
control connector (large white)
⚫Plug out the Fans control
connectors (black)
⚫Press and hold Fan1 and Fan2’s
connectors. Then plug them out.

⚫Remove the two fixed screws
which attached on the MM
Board and then take out the MM
board to a safe place.
Step 8:
⚫Remove the ten fixed screws
which are attached on the two
aluminum strips and then
remove the aluminum strips.
⚫Remove the front and the rear
fixed screws (12 in totals)
followed in diagonal order and
then remove the front and rear
panels where fan assemblies are
attached.

Note: when you remove the components of Fan1 and Fan2, please pay attention to the
temperature control cable, and take it out carefully through the opening in order to avoid
damages.
Step 9:
⚫Push a hash board in the
direction as shown in the figure
and pull out the three hash
boards by turns.
Note: when you pull out the hash boards, make sure to hold the miner’s frame firmly in
order to avoid toppling.
Additional information:
- There are two slots on both
sides of the front heat sink.
Please be sure to make those
slots on the right track.

Step 10:
Additional Information:
⚫Take out the fixed screws (18 in
totals) and remove the heat
sinks of the hash boards on both
sides.
(A hash board comprises three
heat sinks in the rear and one
heat sink in the front.)
-The top view of a front heat
sink.
-Be aware that holes are
unequally distributed in
vertical direction.
Note: be sure to align the hash board with heat sinks before fastening.
- A hash board is perfectly in
alignment with heat sinks.

Additional Information:
Step 11:
⚫Add on silicon thermal grease
-Get some silicon thermal
grease (2W/m∙K) on the tip of
finger and evenly spread out
over the chips.
⚫Place the power supply upon
the top and let the clip faces on
you.
⚫Press down the clip and move
the power supply away from
you.

Additional Information:
The hooks on the framework correspond to the openings on the bottom of
power supply. Let the clip face on you and align the power supply with framework.
Push the power supply box towards you until hearing a click.
To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
