1.0 INTRO
The timer activates and deactivates a hydraulic valve at preset times. It is made up of two parts, a
“programming card” (hereinafter the KEY) and a “control unit” (hereinafter the BASE), which activates
the hydraulic valve through a solenoid.
The KEY is made up of a display and four buttons, it communicates with the BASE by radio signal at
short distances. A non-rechargeable battery feeds the two parts. The battery is sized to last ten years,
considering an ordinary use of the system. Timer information is available through the KEY. When the
KEY connects to the BASE wirelessly, it shows the state the BASE is in, it allows setting a new program,
activating /deactivating the valve manually, although not in program.
Here below an example of how to set up the BASE.
The example shows the duration and the time of the turns t1, t2, t3. The first turn starts at 10:00, lasts 2
h and 5 min, the second starts at 15:45, lasts 10 min, the third starts at 19:30, and lasts 45 min. No turns
are set on Saturday and Sunday, t2 is set on Monday, t3 on Tuesday and Wednesday, all turns (t1, t2 and
t3) are set on Thursday, and finally, t1 is set on Friday. There is the possibility to activate no turns/day, all
turns/day or a combination of the three turns/day.

A turn can last from a minimum of 1 minute to a maximum of 23 hours and 59 minutes.
After the last turn, press the down arrow button to move to the next menu:

THRESHOLD FLOW
0,0 l/s
10% hysteresis
100 l/pulse
Press the OK button to modify the threshold flow, use the arrow buttons to set the value, and then press
the OK button to modify the hysteresis. Use the arrow buttons to set the value, and then press the OK
button to modify the pulse weight. Use the arrow buttons to set the value, and then press the OK button
to finish the programming and memorize the set values in this menu.
0.0 l/s means the threshold is disabled. The enabled threshold controls the flow rate only if the valve is
ACTIVE (automatic mode). If the flow rate exceeds the threshold, it DEACTIVATES the valve. The valve
ACTIVATES again once the flow rate falls below the threshold.
In case of instable flow rate, the adjustable hysteresis avoids activating or deactivating the valve
continually.
The pulse weight depends on the type of volume meter connected to the BASE. Program the pulse weight
according to the volume meter for a correct flow rate measure.
Press the down arrow button to enter the last menu and select the type of meter (ultrasonic/non-
ultrasonic).
Press the OK button to enable/disable the ultrasonic meter.
Press the OK button to confirm.
