１． Installation work and electric wiring (including switch location) must be
done by the qualified person(s) in accordance with local applicable
codes and standards, including fire-rated construction.
２． This hood may have sharp edges. Be careful to avoid cuts and abrasions
during installation and cleaning.
３． The hood must be placed at a minimum distance of 65cm from the cook
panel and 75cm from gas cooker.
４． Provide sufficient air for proper combustion and exhausting of gases
through the chimney of the burning equipment to prevent backdrafting.
Follow the heating equipment manufacturer’s guideline and safety
standards such as those published by the National Fire Protection
Association, and the American Society for Heating, Refrigeration and Air
Conditioning Engineer (ASHRAE), and the local code authorities.
５． Ducted fans must always be vented to the outdoors.
６． This appliance is designed to be operated by adults. Children are not
allowed to temper with the controls or play with this appliance.
７． To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this fan with any
solid-state speed control device.
８． When cutting or drilling into wall or ceiling, do not damage electrical
wiring and other hidden utilities.
９． If this unit is to be installed over a tub or shower, it must be marked as
appropriate for the application and be connected to a GFCI (Ground
Fault Circuit Interrupter) - protected branch circuit.
１０．Before serving or cleaning the unit, switch power off at service
panel and lock the service disconnecting means to prevent
power from being switched on accidentally. When the service
disconnecting means cannot be locked, securely fasten a
prominent warning device, such as a tag, to the service panel.

WARNING - TO REDUCE THE RISK OF A RANGE TOP GREASE FIRE:
1. Never leave surface units unattended at high settings. Boilovers cause
smoking and greasy spillovers that may ignite. Heat oils slowly on low
or medium settings.
2. Always turn hood ON when cooking at high heat or when flambéing food
(i.e. Crepes Suzette, Cherries Jubilee, Peppercorn Beef Flambé').
3. Clean ventilating fans frequently. Grease should not be allowed to
accumulate on fan or filter.
4. Use proper pan size. Always use cookware appropriate for the size of
the surface element.

INSTALLATION & USE
NOTE: on the stainless steel range hoods, carefully remove the plastic
protective film from exterior of the surfaces of the hood prior to final
installation.
Caution: To Reduce Risk of Fire and Electric Shock, install this
range hood only with integral blowers manufactured by UGA,
the model of S0176.

DESCRITION/CONNECTION
This appliance should be mounted to the bottom of a standard wall cabinet.
If the hood must be mounted directly to the wall, secure the hood to wall
studs.
Ductwork can be installed vertically or horizontally.
Duct runs should be as short as possible.
Avoid the use of elbows.
Use duct tape at all joints.
Do not use duct smaller than the discharge on the hood.
LOCATION PREPARATION
1. Use the dimensional drawings below to lay out the range hood’s
mounting holes, wiring access and ductwork by marking the cabinet
bottom and drywall where applicable.
2. Make cutouts for wiring and ductwork.

3. Install the ductwork so that it is flush to the range hood’s mounting
surface.
4. Run two-conductor wire from a power source to the hood location. Bring
approximately 12’’ of wiring through wring hole.
5. Drill 3/32’’diameter pilot holes at points where mounting holes are
marked in cabinet bottom.
6. Insert 4 mounting screws, leaving approximately 1/4’’ of thread
exposed.
HOOD PREPARATION
１． Remove the bottom panel of the hood by removing its (7) mounting
screws and set aside.
２． Punch out the wiring knock-out located on the Top of the Unit.
HOOD PREPARATION-VERTICAL DISCHARGE INSTALLATION
1. Install the small shutoff plate inside the back of the hood. Using 10
screws

2. Install the large shutoff plate on the back of the hood. Using 5 screws.
3. Install the rubber gasket（included）on the top of the hood. As shown
below.

4. Mount 6’’ round duct on the top of the hood, using 10 screws

5. Seal with duct tape.

4. Mount 3 1/4″×10″duct on the top of the hood, using 5 screws
(included).
5. Seal with duct tape.

1. Install the gasket (included) on the top of the hood, as shown below.
2. Mount the shutoff plate on the top of the hood, using 10 screws
(included),
3. Seal with duct tape.
4. Install the adapter in the back of the hood, using 6 screws.

HOOD INSTALLATION
1. Insert the power cable in the hood and tighten the wire clamp to screw
the cable.
2. Align hood’s keyhole mounting slots over the 4 partially installed
screws.
3. Making sure the duct positions over the hood’s duct adapter, push the
hood against the rear wall.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
1. Using provided wire connectors, connect wires as follow: BLACK wire to
BLACK wire(A), WHITE wire to WHITE wire(B), GREEN or BARE wire
with GREEN-YELLOW wire(C).
2. Reinstall the wiring box cover.
3. Plug back the small connector inside the hood.
4. Reinstall the bottom plate, make sure both grease guides are aligned
with the holes, and install the grease pan.
5. Using long nose pliers, pull out each of grease guides (A), then set them
where their flange slightly protrudes above the bottom of surface (B).

LIGHT BULB
This range hood may require two halogen bulbs (Type JCD, 12V, 20W Max, G-4
Base)
WARNING: Always switch off the electrical supply before carrying out any operation
on the appliance.
To change bulbs:
1. Remove the halogen bulb cover ②by using the flat screw driver.
2. Remove the bulb by pulling sideward (DO NOT ROTATE).
3. Replace with Type JCD, 12V, 20W Max, G-4 Base halogen bulb. Do not touch
replacement bulb with bare hands!
CAUTION:
1. THE SURFACE, THE COVER OF THE HALOGEN BULBS MAY BE HOT.
CAUTION WHEN TAKING THE REPLACEMENT.
2. BULBS MAY BE HOT. CAUTION WHEN TAKING THE REPLACEMENT.
OPERATION
The hood is operated using a push button switch on the front panel.
1 – ON/OFF SWITCH
2 – LOW SPEED SWITCH
3 – MEDIUM SPEED SWITCH
4 – HIGH SPEED SWITCH
5 – LIGHT SWITCH
6 – CLEAR INDICATOR (Not applied to this model)
7 – WATER AUTO-CLEAN SWITCH (Not applied to this model)

MAINTENTANCE & CLEAN
1. Disengage the small grease guard cups from the grease guard by
turning counterclockwise and remove.
2. Remove the screw retaining the grease guard to the hood.
3. Remove the grease guard from the hood. Then remove the bottom
plate.
4. Unscrew the clips and remove the wheel grease collector.
5. Remove the wheel center cap.
6. Loosen the wheel set screw in order to disengage the wheel from its
motor shaft.
Soak all removed parts in warm water with soft soap for 30 minutes. Then
wash with nylon brush, rinse and dry completely before reinstalling.
NOTE: When reinstalling the wheel, align the end of the set screw with the
flat part of the motor shaft (A)

HOOD CLEANING
Stainless steel is one of the easiest material to keep clean. Occasional care
will help preserve its fine appearance.
Cleaning tips:
* Hot water with soap or detergent is usually needed.
* Follow all cleaning by rinsing with water. Wipe dry with a clean, soft cloth
to avoid water marks.
* For discolorations or deposits that persist, use a non-scratching household
cleanser or stainless steel polishing powder with a little water and a soft
cloth.
* For stubborn cases use a plastic scouring pad or soft bristle brush together
with cleanser and water. Rub lightly in direction of polishing lines or “grain”
of the stainless finish. Avoid using too much pressure that may mar the
surface.
* Do not allow stains to remain for long periods of time.
* Do not use ordinary steel wool or steel brushes. Small bits of steel may
adhere to the surface causing rust.
* Do not allow salt solutions, disinfectants, bleaches, or cleaning compounds
to remain in contact with stainless steel for extended periods. Many of these
compounds contain chemicals that may be harmful. Rinse with water after
exposure and wipe dry with a clean cloth.
* Painted surfaces should be cleaned with warm water and mild detergent
only.
