Introduction to AwoX AromaLIGHT®
Congratulations and thank you for choosing AwoX AromaLIGHT™,astylish
essential oil diffuser integrated into a variable color low-energy LED light bulb.
Your AromaLiGHT is Bluetooth® enabled so you can control it wirelessly from
your smartphone without any complex installation at all.
Use the free AwoX SmartCONTROL™ smartphone application to control the
color tone, brightness, and diffuser settings for up to 8lights. For this, your
smartphone must be equipped with Bluetooth.
This guide describes how to use your AwoX AromaLIGHT color product.
Note: Setting up the Bluetooth connection may depend on your
smartphone. In most cases it is a simple one-step process to connect and
control as described here. Most smartphones identify the AwoX
AromaLIGHT automatically. Check your smartphone’s instructions for
specific details on using Bluetooth.

Downloading the free SmartCONTROL app
To control your AromaLIGHT Color light bulbs, start by downloading the free
AwoX SmartCONTROL app for your device:
Download and install AwoX
SmartCONTROL™ software from the App
Store.
iPhone 4S, iPad (3rd
gen.), iPod Touch
(5th gen.), iPad Mini
Google Android
devices equipped
with Bluetooth (4.0
or higher)
Download and install AwoX
SmartCONTROL™ software from the
Google Play Store.
You will need to activate Bluetooth on your smartphone to use this software.

Using the essential oil diffuser
Your AromaLIGHT contains a built-in essential oil diffuser, with an integrated,
adjustable fan. Intensity of the fan is controlled with the software, as described
here.
Important
Install the bulb with the oil cartridge facing downward, or horizontally,
to avoid any chance of oil dripping into the electronics.
Use only essential oils on the provided cartridges. To avoid saturation,
do not apply more than 10 drops of essential oil to the cartridge at a
time.
Never use any other liquids or allow liquids of any type to penetrate the
product.
Be careful that the bulb is not hot to the touch before you remove the
oil cartridge.
To use the essential oil cartridge:
1. Pull to remove the cartridge from the AromaLIGHT.
2. Drip a few drops of essential oil onto the cartridge sponge.
3. Push to replace the cartridge securely back in the light bulb.

Using AwoX SmartCONTROL
SmartCONTROL enables you to use your smartphone as a wireless remote
control to turn on and off, adjust, and program your AromaLIGHT products. This
section describes the various features provided by the software.
Getting started
Follow these simple steps to get started with your AromaLIGHT product:
1. Place one or several AromaLIGHT
bulbs in your lamps, just as you
would a regular light bulb, and turn
the power on. Do not use dimmer
switches, as light dimming is
controlled by the software.
2. After installing the software, tap on
the SmartCONTROL icon on your
smartphone ( ).
If Bluetooth is not activated on your
device, you will be prompted to turn
it on. SmartCONTROL cannot
connect to your AromaLIGHT
products unless you activate
Bluetooth.
3. All AromaLIGHT bulbs within range
are discovered automatically and
displayed on the screen. If
necessary, you may press the menu
icon in the upper right-hand corner 
Refresh to scan again and refresh the
display.
4. AromaLIGHT bulbs are shown with a color icon, labeled “AromaLIGHT.”

First-time setup
1. Tap on a light to control it.
2. The configuration screen is
displayed the first time you tap
on an AromaLIGHT. To get back
to this screen later, press and
hold an AromaLIGHT icon in the
main screen for several seconds.
3. Assign a name for your light in
the Name field.
4. Tap on OK when done.
Notifications
You may tap on the Notifications
options to configure your light bulb
to react to phone events as follows:
Incoming call AromaLIGHT intensity
varies while the phone is
ringing.
Incoming SMS AromaLIGHT intensity varies for a few seconds when a text
message is received.
Proximity detection
If Proximity detection is enabled, under Settings, lights can be turned on
automatically when your smartphone detects lights. For example, if you
activate this option before entering the house, your lights will turn on
automatically as they are detected. This action occurs one time only. To
reactivate proximity detection again, simply tap on the icon on the
application’s main screen.

Creating groups
You may create groups that contain
several AromaLIGHT and compatible
SmartLIGHT bulbs. When configured
in a group, all bulbs are controlled
simultaneously, such as when you use
the on/off button or adjust
brightness.
1. Tap on Create Group on the main
screen to create a group.
2. Assign a name for the group in
the Name field.
3. Available bulbs are listed as
shown here.
4. Add the ones you want to include
by tapping on the associated
checkbox.
5. Tap on OK when done.
6. The group you created is shown
on the main screen alongside the
other icons.
Turning all lights on/off
simultaneously
You may control and turn all your lights on or
off at once, regardless of group configuration
by tapping on the All lights icon in the main
screen.

Using your AromaLIGHT as an alarm
Use the Alarm feature to set a specific
time for the light or group to turn on.
Lights fade-in slowly as they turn on
with this feature.

Notes:
For these options, only one setting may be stored at a time. If
you use these options again, your new settings will override
any previous settings.
If your light is physically turned off (i.e. by the light switch),
these settings are lost.

Dancing lights
You can use the integrated music player to vary AromaLIGHT lighting to the
beat of your favorite music.(1)

AwoX AromaLIGHT®: introduction
Merci d'avoir choisi AwoX AromaLIGHT™, élégant diffuseur d'huiles essentielles
intégré à une ampoule LED multicolore à économie d'énergie. L'ampoule
AromaLIGHT est compatible Bluetooth® pour vous permettre de la
télécommander depuis votre smartphone sans nécessiter d'installation
compliquée.
Utilisez l'application gratuite AwoX SmartCONTROL™ pour contrôler jusqu'à 8
ampoules : modifiez la température et l'intensité lumineuses, ainsi que la
puissance du diffuseur. Pour cela, il vous suffit d'utiliser un smartphone équipé
de la technologie Bluetooth.
Ce mode d'emploi vous explique comment utiliser votre ampoule AwoX
AromaLIGHT Color.
Remarque : le paramétrage de la connexion Bluetooth peut varier en
