Getting started with AwoX StriimLIGHT Wi-Fi
Welcome
Congratulations and thank you for choosing the AwoX
StriimLIGHT Wi-Fi speaker light. StriimLIGHT contains both a LED
light bulb and an audio speaker, giving you a great way to play
music from your smartphone or tablet anywhere you can plug in
a light bulb! You can even use several speakers to create zones. in
full stereo.
A fun and easy way to play music from many sources,
including your Apple iOS™ or Google Android™ smartphone
or tablet, PC or Mac(1), and the Internet
Access to hundreds of Internet radio stations(2)
AwoX media player software for your iPhone®, iPad®, iPod
touch®, or Android smartphone.(3)

Before you begin
1. Start by downloading the free AwoX media app for your
device:

Download and install AwoX Striim
CONTROL™ software from the App
Store.

2. On your Apple or Android device, make sure Wi-Fi is turned
on and use the device’s settings to connect to your home
network.

Note: Do not use any kind of dimmer switch other than the
provided remote control unit.
Changing the remote control battery
Starting your product
Screw your StriimLIGHT Wi-Fi device into a light socket and turn
on the power. Wait a few moments for the device to startup. At
first, a blue light will blink slowly. After starting, this light remains
blue continuously.
If your Internet router supports WPS
WPS is a feature that enables you to add new Wi-Fi devices to
your network at the touch of a button. If your Internet router
supports WPS, simply press the WPS button on the router and
then press the WPS button on your StriimLIGHT Wi-Fi device. The
two devices will recognize each other automatically and you may
begin using the AwoX Striim CONTROL application right away.
Otherwise, the installation wizard runs as described in the next
section.

AwoX Striim CONTROL setup
1. After downloading the
application, tap on the
launcher icon to run AwoX
Striim CONTROL.
2. If StriimCONTROL does not
detect a StriimLIGHT device
in your network, the setup
wizard starts the first time
you launch the application.
3. Choose to install AwoX
StriimLIGHT Wi-Fi.
4. The wizard guides you
through all the steps for connecting
your AwoX StriimLIGHT Wi-Fi device
to your local network to begin playing your music.
Note:
StriimLIGHT Wi-Fi extends the range of your home Wi-Fi
network. StriimLIGHT Wi-Fi automatically serves as a wireless
range extender for other devices. When you scan for Wi-Fi
networks with your device (such as a computer, smartphone,
or tablet), you will see a network with the same name as your
regular network, with a “-EXT” extension. You may simply
choose to connect to this network access point using the
same key or password as your regular access point.

Remarque : N’utilisez en aucun cas un gradateur autre que la
télécommande fournie.
Changer la pile de la télécommande
Utilisation
Vissez votre ampoule StriimLIGHT Wi-Fi dans une douille et allumez
la lumière. L’activation de StriimLIGHT prend plusieurs secondes.
Dans un premier temps, le voyant bleu clignote lentement. Après
démarrage, le voyant bleu cesse de clignoter et reste allumé.
Modems compatibles avec le protocole WPS
Le protocole WPS est une fonctionnalité qui vous permet de
connecter facilement de nouveaux appareils Wi-Fi à votre réseau,
en appuyant simplement sur un bouton. Si votre modem est
compatible avec le protocole WPS, appuyez sur le bouton WPS de
votre modem, puis sur celui de votre ampoule StriimLIGHT Wi-Fi.
Les deux dispositifs établissent automatiquement la connexion :
vous pouvez dès à présent utiliser l’application AwoX Striim
CONTROL. La section suivante décrit l’assistant d’installation.

Configuration d’AwoX Striim CONTROL
1. Une fois l’application
téléchargée, appuyez sur
l’icône correspondante pour
ouvrir AwoX Striim
CONTROL.
2. Lors de la première
utilisation, si Striim
CONTROL ne détecte pas
d’ampoule StriimLIGHT,
l’application lance l’assistant
de configuration.
3. Lorsque l’assistant vous
demande le type de
dispositif à installer, choisissez AwoX
StriimLIGHT.
4. L’assistant vous aide alors à connecter votre ampoule AwoX
StriimLIGHT Wi-Fi à votre réseau, afin que vous puissiez
écouter de la musique.

Remarque:
StriimLIGHT Wi-Fi augmente la portée de votre réseau Wifi.
StriimLIGHT Wi-Fi sert automatiquement de relais pour vos
autres appareils. Ainsi, quand vous cherchez un réseau Wifi (par
exemple depuis votre ordinateur, smartphone ou tablette), la
liste affiche un réseau correspondant à votre modem, complété
de l’extension -EXT. Vous avez alors la possibilité de vous
connecter à ce point d’accès en utilisant la clé ou le mot de
passe de votre modem.
