Step 1:
Set the voltage switch on the bottom of the A1400-8 to the
appropriate voltage for your country. e voltage switch is
preset at the factory for 115 volts (North America and Japan).
For most of the rest of the world the voltage switch will need to
be changed to 230 volts. Damage will occur if you plug into a
230 volt line with the switch in the 115 position.
Step 2:
WARNING: DO NOT use the A1400-8 amplier with any
type of constant-impedance speaker switcher or with any
whole-house multiple speaker installation that uses such
devices. Damage to the A1400-8 and or the speaker switcher
may result.
Insert the supplied power cord into your A1400-8 and place the
amp on its feet. Do not plug the amplier into the wall outlet
until all hook-up steps are completed.

wire as to where in your system it goes; i.e. LF, C, RF, RS, RR,
LR, and LS. WARNING: Check that none of your speaker wires
(or wire strands) touch or are short-circuited to other speaker
connections or to the amplier’s metal chassis. SERIOUS
DAMAGE WILL OCCUR IF MORE THAN 200 WATTS
IS SHORT-CIRCUITED TO CHASSIS GROUND OR
ANOTHER SPEAKER TERMINAL.
