Thank you for purchasing this product. Please read through these instructions to operate this
unit correctly. Please keep this manual in a safe place for future reference.
PRECAUTIONS
• Use only in a 12-24volt DC negative ground electrical system.
• Disconnect the vehicle’s negative battery terminal while mounting and connecting
the unit.
• When replacing the fuse, be sure to use one with an identical amperage rating.
• Using a fuse with a higher amperage rating may cause serious damage to the unit.
• DO NOT attempt to disassemble the unit. Laser beams from the optical pickup are
dangerous to the eyes.
• Make sure that pins or other objects do not get inside the unit. They may cause
malfunctions, create safety hazards such as electrical shock or laser beam exposure.
• If you have parked the vehicle for a long time in hot or cold weather, wait until the
temperature becomes normal before operating the unit.
• Keep the volume at a level at which you can hear outside warning sounds
(horns, sirens, etc.).
• Stop the vehicle before performing any complicated operation.
DISC NOTES
• Playing a defective or dusty disc can cause dropouts in sound.
• Handle the disc by holding its inner and outer edges.
• Do not touch the unlabeled side.
• Do not attach any seal, label or data protection sheet to either side of a disc.
• Do not expose a disc to direct sunlight or excessive heat.
• Wipe a dirty disc from the centre outward with a soft cleaning cloth.
• Never use solvents such as benzine or alcohol.
• This unit can not play 3-inch ( 8cm ) discs. Never insert a 3-inch disc contained in an
adapter or an irregularly shaped disc. The unit may not be able to eject it, resulting
in a malfunction.
• In addition to ordinary DVDs, this unit can play back a CD/MP3/VCD/CD-R/CD-RW.

Press the button to turn the unit on when the vehicle ignition switch is on.

Adjust Volume level
Rotate the VOL control to adjust volume level. Rotate it clockwise to increase and
anticlockwise to decrease the volume.
Audio Mute
Press the MUT button to mute volume from the system. “MUTE” will appear on the
display panel and the volume will be muted. Press the MUT button again to return the
volume level to the setting in use before the Mute function was activated.
Audio Controls
To adjust the bass, treble, balance and fader, EQ, Loud and Illuminating Colour, press the
VOL control until the appropriate audio control appears on the display panel. Within 2
seconds, rotate the VOL control to adjust the audio settings for the selected function.
Mode Button (MOD)
Press the MOD button to change between Radio, DISC (when disc is in), USB (when
USB is connected), Card (when SD/MMC card is in), Bluetooth (when BT is connected)
or AUX.
Auxiliary Input
To access an auxiliary device:
1. Connect the portable audio player to the AUX interface on the front panel.
2. Press the MOD button to select Aux-In mode.
Press MOD again to cancel Aux-In mode and go to the next mode.
EQ Setting

Keep pressing to choose: FLAT -> POP -> CLASSIC -> ROCK -> JAZZ
CLOCK OPERATION
- Setting Time
Press and hold MUT Button on face panel until time is displayed. Then press
MUT again to highlight hour, then turn volume to set hour. Press MUT again to highlight
minutes and repeat.
- Display Time
Press and hold MUT. Time will display for approx 4 seconds.

Inserting a Disc
With the label surface facing up, fully insert a compact disc into the disc slot until the
PHFKDQLVPHQJDJHVDQGSXOOVWKHGLVFLQ3OD\ZLOODXWRPDWLFDOO\EHJLQIURPWKHƮUVW
track on the disc. NOTE: The unit is designed for play of standard 5” (12 cm.) compact
discs only. Do not attempt to use 3” (8 cm.) CD singles in this unit, either with or without
an adaptor, as damage to the player and/or the disc may occur.
Disc Eject Button
Press the eject button to stop disc play and eject the disc. The unit will revert to
radio operation.
CD Play/Pause Selector
Press the 1/PAU button to freeze disc playback. Press 1/PAU again to resume
disc playback.
Seek Up/Next Track
Press the next track >>| button during disc play to select the beginning of the next track.
Seek Down/Previous Track
Press the previous track |<< button during disc play to select the beginning of the cur-
rent track. Press twice to select the beginning of the previous track.
Cue/Review Functions
High-speed audible search to any section of the disc can be made by the Cue and
Review functions. Press and hold the next track >>| button to advance rapidly in the
forward direction or the previous track |<< button to advance rapidly in the backward
direction. Hold down >>I or I<< button during play back of DVD, VCD, MP3 to
change speed.
Intro Play Selector
During disc play, press the 2/INTEXWWRQWRVHOHFWp,1721qDQGSOD\WKHƮUVWVHFRQGV
of each track. When a desired track is reached, press the 2/INT button to select “INT
OFF” and play the current track.
Track Repeat Play Select
During disc play, press the 3/RPT button to select “RPT1” and repeatedly play the
selected track. Repeat play will continue until 3/RPT is pressed to select “RPT ALL”.
Press 3/RPT again for “ RPT OFF”.
Random Play Select
During disc play, press the 4/RDM button to select “RDM ON” and play all tracks on the
GLVFLQUDQGRPVKXƲHGRUGHU,Q5DQGRP3OD\PRGHSUHVVWKH|<< / >>| buttons to
select tracks in a random order instead of the normal progression. Press 4/RDM again
to select “RDM OFF” and cancel Random Play mode.
Note: If default video format is NTSC, press ‘BAND’ on remote control to select PAL video format.

Bluetooth allows you to utilize your vehicle's built-in audio system for wireless
mobile phone or music handsfree communication. Some Bluetooth mobile phones
have this audio feature, and some portable audio players support Bluetooth. This
system can play audio data stored in a Bluetooth audio device. The car stereo with
Bluetooth will be able to retrieve incoming calls, outgoing calls and listen to music.
Notes:
• Do not position the Bluetooth handsfree microphone near open windows or air outlets
of the air conditioner. This may cause a distortion.
• High temperature from direct sun can cause distortion and discoloration which may
result in malfunction.
• Due to the wide variety of formats, this system may not operate properly with every
Bluetooth audio player.
• The compatibility of all mobile phones together with this unit is not guaranteed.
• Audio playback will be set to the same volume level as set during telephone calls.
This might cause discomfort if extreme volume level is set during telephone calls.
Handsfree Operations
Pairing
1. Turn on Bluetooth function of your mobile phone. 2. Enter mobile phone’s Bluetooth
setup menu. 3. Search for new Bluetooth devices. 4. Select “AXIS” from the pairing list
on the mobile phone. 5. After pairing is successfull, BT functions are possible.
Answering and Ending a Call
You can answer an incoming call by pressing the VOL KNOB button.
* Press the EQ button to end an incoming call.
Audio Streaming Operations
What is audio streaming?
Audio streaming is a technique for transferring audio data so that it can be processed
as a steady and continuous stream. Users can stream music from their external audio
player or phone to their car stereo wirelessly and listen to the tracks through the
vehicle's speakers.
Press the ŹŹI button to move to the beginning of the next track.
Press the IŻŻbutton to move to the beginning of the previous track.
Note:
Playing order will depend on the Bluetooth audio player. When IŻŻbutton is pressed,
some A2DP devices will restart the current track.
During music streaming playback, “B-TOOTH” will be shown on the display.
When A2DP device is disconnected, “B-TOOTH” will be shown on the display
Some Bluetooth audio players may not have play / pause synchronized with this unit.
Please make sure both device and main unit are in the same play / pause status in BT
MUSIC mode.
CAUTION
Please avoid operating your connected mobile phone while audio streaming as this may cause noise or sound choppy on the song
playback. Audio streaming may or may not resume after telephone interrupt as this is dependent on your mobile phone’s software.
System will always return to Radio mode if audio streaming is disconnected.

FRONT MICROPHONE OPERATION
Accepts 6.3mm (1/4”) microphone. Depending on the microphone, auto mic mode
when the mic jack is inserted or mic is turned on. The echo button can turn the music

Note: Audio source volume cannot be adjusted when in mic mode, or mic jack inserted
with some microphone types. Use only Battery Microphones
TUNER OPERATION
Band
During radio play, press the BND button to choose between three FM, two AM bands.
The indication “AM”, “FM” appears on the display panel according to your selection.
Up Tuning
Press the seek up >>| button to tune stations upward step-by-step. The current fre-
quency will be shown in digital format on the display panel. Press and hold the seek >>|
button to the next available station.
Down Tuning
Press the seek down |<< button to tune stations downward step-by-step. Press and
hold the seek down |<< button to the previous available station.
Station Store
Press and hold desired preset (1-6) to store current station. The new stations replace
stations already stored in that preset.

TROUBLESHOOTING
The following checklist can help solve some problems WKDW may encounterHG when using the unit.

The unit will not switch on. Ignition is not on.
Cable is not properly connected.
Fuse is burnt.
No sound
Turn your vehicle key in the ignition.
Check cable connection.
Replace fuse with a new fuse of the same capacity.
Volume is set at minimum or the mute
function is on. Check the volume or switch the mute function off.
DISC mode
The appliance will not play discs. The disc is inserted incorrectly.
The disc is dirty or damaged.
Sound skips due to vibration.
Will not accept disc. Transport screws still in. Remove 2 x screws located on top of chassis.

TUNER mode
Unable to receive stations. The antenna is not connected properly. Connect the antenna properly.
Poor quality reception of radio station.
Poor radio reception. Factory Antenna is amplified. Find antenna power wire in factory harness & connect to
accessory power.
The antenna is not fully extended or it is
broken.
Preset stations are lost.
Fully extend the antenna and if broken, replace with a
new one.
The battery cable is not properly connected.
Disc must be inserted with the label side facing up. Clean
the disc and check for damage. Try another disc.
USB/SD/MMC mode
Unable to insert USB device or SD/MMC
card.
Connect the permanent live on the unit to the permanent
live on the vehicle.
Insert the other way around.
NTFS format is not supported.
The memory card or USB device has been
inserted the wrong way round.
The USB device or SD/MMC card cannot
be read. different formats, some models of storage devices or MP3
players may not be read.
