Assembly
Thank you for choosing the "Axe" Combo Boat/Shore Blind from Banded.
Please follow the instructions below to assemble your blind.

Step 1:
Remove the frame from the packaging. Make sure you have the following components:
(refer to drawing below for help identifying each piece)

A (4pcs) - Bottom Corner Frames (With welded ground stake bracket)
B (4pcs) – Front and Back Connect Frames
C (4pcs) - Top Corner Frames
D (2pcs) - Bottom Side Connect Frames
E (2pcs) - Top Side Connect Frames
F (2sets) - Back Vertical Frame Kits (Include bungee code, Aluminum hinges, Steel sleeve and Quick
Pin sets)
G (2sets) - Front Vertical Frame Kits (Include bungee code, Aluminum hinges, Steel sleeve and Quick
Pin sets)
H (2pcs) - Roof Frame Kits (Screwed with "U" hinge on one end)
I (2pcs) - Roof Support Frame Kits (Screwed with "U" hinge on each end)
J (4pcs) - Roof Round Frames (* for EXL version is 6pcs)
K (2pcs) - Roof Round Connect Frames (* for EXL version is 2pcs)
L (1set) - Hardware Package (Include (16) M6x30mm bolt sets, (4) Boat mounting screw set, (28) M6x37mm bolt sets,
(1) Open-end wrench, (1) Allen wrench)
M (1pc) - Olive Blind Cover
N (1pc) - Olive Front Panel
Step1: Layout the blind cover as drawing N (Front Panel) and M (Blind Main Cover).
Step 2
Connect Bottom Corner Frame(A) to Connect Frame(B) and screw with 1 Bolt Set(M6x30mm). Slide into the bottom
of Main Cover(M) from the left side.
Important: All bolts facing inward so that all nuts are inside of frame.

Step 3
Slide Bottom Corner Frame(A) into the bottom of Main Cover(M) from the right side and screw it to Connect
Frame(B) with 1 Bolt Set (M6x30mm).
Step 4
Repeat Step 2&3 to install the Bottom Corner Frame(A) & Connect Frame(B) to the bottom of the Front Panel(N)

Step 5
Slide Bottom Connect Frame(D) into the bottom of Main Cover(M) on both side and screw them to Bottom Corner
Frame(A) with 2 Bolt Set(M6x30mm) on each side.

Step 6
Repeat Step 2&3 to install the Top Corner Frame(C) & Connect Frame(B) to the top of the Main Cover(M) and Front
Panel(N)

Install the "U" hinge of Roof Frame Kit(H) to Top Corner Frame(C) with Bolt set(M6x37mm) on both sides.
Step 8
Slide the small frame sleeve to Top Corner Frame(C), install the "U" hinge of Roof Support Frame Kit(I) to Top
Corner Frame(C) with Bolt set(M6x37mm) on both sides.

Step 9
Slide Top Connect Frame(E) to the Main Cover(M), screw the Top Connect Frame(E) to Top Corner Frame(C) with
Bolt set(M6x37mm) on both side.
Step 10
Install Front Vertical Frame Kit(G) to Bottom Corner Frame(A) & Top Corner Frame(C) with 2 Bolt Set(M6x37mm)
on each Hinge.

Install Back Vertical Frame Kit(F) to Bottom Corner Frame(A) &Top Corner Frame(C) with 2 Bolt Set(M6x37mm)
on each Hinge.

Install Roof Round Connect Frame(K) to Roof Round Frame(J) on both side with push buttons, slide the Roof frame
section to the Sleeve of the Main Cover(M) and cover the sleeve with Velcro. Repeat and install with another section.
Step 13
Congratulations, your Axe Combo Blind is now assembled and ready to hunt – as a superior boat blind or an
unparalleled shore blind.
If you intend to use your blind primarily on a boat, Banded recommends you secure it to your boat with the provided
threaded rivnut, and bolts. Securing your boat this way will afford safe transport and will significantly improve the
function of your blind, especially when “popping it up and down” from hunting mode to transport mode and vice-versa.
To secure the blind to a boat with the provided threaded rivnut, simply:
1) Place the fully assembled blind in the boat and situate it however you desire. In a typical “jon-boat”, the blind
will span the distance from the front deck of the boat to the back bench.
2) After positioning the blind where desired, choose at least three points (four points are recommended) where
the bottom frame of the blind makes contact with the boat (again, typically this will be two points on the front
deck and two points on the back bench of the boat).
3) At chosen contact points, drill through the bottom frame (this will be easier to accomplish if the blind is “popped
up” in hunting position instead of transport position) with a 11/32” drill bit.
4) Next, remove the Axe Blind from the boat and install the threaded rivnut:
a. Place a threaded rivnut onto the setting tool bolt.
b. Insert the threaded rivnut into a 11/32” hole.

c. Using the setting tool with a M8 wrench, tighten the setting bolt with a M6 wrench
until tight – do not over tighten. This process will swell the threaded rivnut and cause it to remain in
the drilled hole.
d. Repeat Step 4(c) until all of the threaded rivnut are in place.
5) Return the Axe Blind to the boat and fasten it to the threaded rivnut with the provided M6 bolts.
6) Use a hand tool to tighten the M6 bolts into the threaded rivnut. Do not over-tighten as it can damage and/or
strip the threaded rivnut. Simply hand-tighten each bolt until snug.
