Assembly Instructions:
. lace the seal ring behind the lip of
the cup half of the seal. The cup half of the seal
should no be installed into the rear
bracket as shon at right.
. To install the cup half of the seal into the rear
bracket use a tool such as a socket to give
even pressure on the metal ange of the seal
housing during installation. The seal should be
pressed into its bore. o not strike the seal
ith a sharp blo such as from a hammer. o
not press on the seal faces because the are
brittle and ill fracture from impact.
. nstall the rear bracket onto the drive
unit using the bolts and lock
ashers originall used to attach the
rear bracket to the drive unit. e sure to install
the correct number of bracket shims
if the pump as assembled ith shims from the
factor. The handle of the rear bracket should
be to the top of the drive unit. Tighten the rear
bracket scres .

Assembly Instructions:
. nstall the primar ring seal half into the
impeller. The seal half is pressed into the hub of
the impeller b using both thumbs shon in
photo at left. The outside diameter of the
primar ring ma be sparingl coated ith
silicone to ease installation. The lapped or
polished seal face must be installed face up.

using bolts and lock ashers
. Tighten the bolts There

impeller face and the volute face. f the
minimum clearance is not achieved a bracket
shim ill have to be installed in the
impeller bore to achieve the proper clearance.
nstall the volute checkvalve.
. lace the main pump bod oring on
the outside ange of the rear bracket. The
gasket should be aligned ith and placed over
the to doell pins on the rear bracket. The
gasket ma be lubricated ith chapstick or
petroleum ell. ubricating the gasket in this
manner ill help the parts not to stick to the
cast iron parts it is sealing against.
. nstall the pump bod onto the rear
bracket aligning the pump bod ith the
doell pins on the rear bracket. ecure the
pump bod to the rear ith si bolts
and lock ashers .
