3.6 Bär SmartControl 2.0 docking station, Mat. no. 200005754
The Bär SmartControl 2.0 docking station is installed in the cabin by the body
manufacturer or the end customer. The docking station is the charging station of
the Bär SmartControl 2.0 Plus accumulator hand-held transmitter. In addition, the
docking station has a loss protection function. The docking station is connected to
the receiver via radio. This means that hand-held transmitters that are inserted into
the docking station can be paired with the respective Cargolift. This function is
called EasyPairing.
If the vehicle has a rear view camera system, this can be integrated into the Bär
SmartControl 2.0 system via the docking station. This makes it possible to
implement cabin control using a hand-held transmitter. For this purpose, control
signals must be exchanged between the docking station and the camera system.
The control connection on the docking station is available for this purpose. If the
respective control signal is not present here, operation of the inserted hand-held
transmitter is not enabled.
The following cables are available so that the docking station can be electrically
integrated into the driver's cabin.
The Bär SmartControl 2.0 docking station is directly integrated into the vehicle
electrical system with the cable “Cable 4 x 0.75 / Docking Station Direct” Mat. no.

4 Mounting
Only the receiver of the SmartControl 2.0 system is mounted or premounted ex works with certain Cargolift models. The
hand-held transmitter and, if present, the docking station are included in the mounting material. The mounting of the
receiver in the various fitting positions and the checking and preparation of the components for the mounting material are
described in the following.
4.1 Mounting the receiver
The receiver of the SmartControl 2.0 system is installed in different fitting positions on the Cargolift depending
on the Cargolift model. It generally applies that if the eBC Controller is installed in the beam, the receiver must
also be installed in the beam. Cargolifts for left-hand traffic are an exception. In this case the receiver is always
installed behind the Bär Control EVO or the control box on the left in the direction of travel. The receiver in
Cargolifts without beams is always mounted behind the Bär Control EVO or the control box on the side facing
away from the road. The receiver of BusLifts and VanLifts is attached in the provided location on the lifting
mechanism.
The “SmartControl radio 433 Mhz information sign” label Mat. no. 200002995 must always be
attached to all Cargolifts which are equipped with a SmartControl 2.0 system in accordance
with the document describing the labelling of Bär Cargolifts A7305023.

5 Pairing system components
A SmartControl 2.0 system only ever supports 1 active pairing with a hand-held transmitter. Another hand-
held transmitter can be paired at any time.
The following functions are available for this purpose:
Initial hand-held transmitter pairing - Very first hand-held transmitter
Repeat hand-held transmitter pairing for every other hand-held transmitter
When a hand-held transmitter has been successfully paired, the pairing of the previous transmitter
is deleted. A hand-held transmitter can only be paired if it has not been paired with another system
beforehand. In this case it must be reset before being paired again, unless pairing takes place
using EasyPairing.
5.1 Initial hand-held transmitter pairing
Before the Bär SmartControl 2.0 system is ready for use, the hand-held transmitter must be paired with the
Cargolift. If no hand-held transmitter has been paired to the Cargolift yet, the “Initial hand-held transmitter
pairing” function is available.
