1 Introduction
The FS35 is a state of the art NVG (Night Vision Goggle) stimulation LED projector which
include a fourth LED light chip that emits infrared light beyond the range visible to the human
eye. The product is capable of visualizing night-time and limited-visibility scenario simulation
as well as visible day-time or pitch black scenarios from the common display engine in order
to have a true-to-life simulation.
The FS35 WQXGA is single channel input and handles the content through one of the input
connectors (HDMI/DVI). The FS35 WUXGA is dual channel input to handle separate content
on IR LED and RGB LED simultaneously. The infrared wavelength is optimized for the perfor-
mance of the optics in the projector and the night vision goggles present in the market today.
The projector’s solid-state light source provides a completely constant light output over time,
eliminating the need for recalibration, reducing maintenance and total cost of ownership to a
minimum.
2 Features
• NVG stimulation by a fourth Infrared LED
• WQXGA 2560 x1600 resolution
• WUXGA 1920 x1200 resolution
• Dimmable to extreme low lumens output of the visible RGB display
• Motorised optical filter
• Project infrared display only, no visible image to the unaided human eye
• Simultaneous project visible and infrared for limited visibility scenario
• Smear reduction sequence
• Infrared power adjustments

2.2 Infrared LED
The IR LED is a LED that has a spectral emission at 850nm to emit light in the night vision
stimulated content.
2.3 Motorized Optical Filter
This is the optical filter part of the illumination system in the base projector. This filter is motor-
ized and can be moved in and out of the illumination system to improve the dimming resolution
in night time scenery. The filter is a ND filter (Neutral Density) which is 6% transmissive for the
visible light (430-690nm) and 95% transmissive for the IR wavelengths (770-850nm).
When the ND filter is moved into the illumination path the visible light will decrease to 6% of the
total visible light, while passing through 95% of the IR light.
2.4 Single Channel Input
In single channel mode the content goes through one of the input connectors and will be visible
for both the human eye and with NVGs (Night Vision Goggles). The RGB LEDs and IR LED are lit
simultaneously.
2.5 Dual Channel Input
FS35 WUXGA allows dual input so the user can have separate content on IR LED and RGB
LEDs simultaneously. In this mode the IR LED will display the source connected to DVI 1/HDMI
1, while RGB LEDs are used to display source connected to DVI 2/HDMI 2. The RGB LEDs are
turned off when the IR source is displayed to allow best possible night-time or limited-visibility
simulation.
Dual Channel Input allows using two separate channels, resolution up to 1920x1200 @ 60Hz pr
channel. Both channels must have the same resolution. In this mode the EDID will automatically
be changed to 1920x1200 60Hz.

3 Menus
3.1 BrilliantColortm Sequences
There are 5 sequences to choose in the REALCOLOR menu. These displays differently when it
comes to sequence modes for color points versus lumens output.
• Vizsim
• Graphics
• HighBrightness
• SRPTM 6ms (smear reduction)
• SRPTM 8ms (smear reduction)
3.2 IR menu WQXGA
A separate IR menu which works with each BrilliantColorTM sequence listed above,
controls the infrared and visual RGB performance.
Full spectrum: Turns infrared LED on/off.
IR LED power: Adjusts the intensity of infrared LED.
RGB LEDs: Turns visible RGB LED’s on/off.
Dim mode standard: Dimming options from full to minimum with color processing turned on
so the white point is kept constant throughout the range. Appropriate use for daytime and even-
ing scenarios.

7
Dim mode custom: Dimming scheme for limited visibility scenarios, enabling the user to sepa-
rately adjust the values of the R, G and B intensity in order to tune in the low light visibility match-
ing the projected content.
3.3 IR menu WUXGA
A separate IR menu which works with each BrilliantColorTM sequence listed above,
controls the infrared and visual RGB performance.
Full spectrum: Turns infrared LED on/off.
Dual head: Enables dual head input sources to be connected.
IR LED power: Adjusts the intensity of infrared LED.

8
RGB LEDs: Turns visible RGB LED’s on/off.
Dim mode standard: Dimming options from full to minimum with color processing turned on so
the white point is kept constant throughout the range. Appropriate use for daytime and evening
scenarios.
Dim mode custom: Dimming scheme for limited visibility scenarios, enabling the user to
separately adjust the values of the R, G and B intensity in order to tune in the low light visibility
matching the projected content.

4 Product Use
For basic operations, set-up and safety precautions, please refer to the main user
guide included with the product.
The FS35 is capable of displaying both daytime images, as well as night vision stimulated
content using the fourth infrared chip in the display engine. By operating and adjusting the
dedicated IR Menu options described in the MENU section, the projector is able to display
the full spectrum of the simulation scenarios (see examples below).
• Daytime scenario: Bright scenarios with high lumens output with crisp colors showing all
details. Typically full power to the RGB LED’s and no power to the fourth infrared LED.
• Evening scenario: Low illuminated scenarios at evening/dusk where the picture is dimmed
by adjusting the RGB LED’s. Fewer details are visible to the unaided human eye
compared to daytime scenarios.
• Limited visibility scenario: Night time image, where the visible RGB LED is dimmed to
very low lumens output by using the custom IR menu. Details are barely seen with the hu-
man eye. Using the infrared LED and NV goggles in addition gives full spectrum NV simula-
tion modus. For pitch black scenarios the visible RGB LED’s are turned off, only keeping the
infrared LED showing the content.
If you start in infrared only mode and do not have your NV-goggles available in terms
of being able to see and navigate the menus: Press 4 times on the LIGHT button on
the keypad and the visible RGB field turns on.
