Warranty Details
The product is guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship and parts for
a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. Defects that occur within this
warranty period, under normal use and care, will be repaired, replaced or refunded at
our discretion, solely at our option with no charge for parts and labour. The benets
conferred by this warranty are in addition to all rights and remedies in respect of
the product that the consumer has under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010
and similar state and territory laws.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian
Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure
and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You
are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of
acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Using the remote control
To use the Remote Control, point it towards the front of the Digital Set Top Box. The
Remote Control has a range of up to 7 metres from the Set Top Box at an angle of
up to 60 degrees (30 degrees for the left hand side and 30 degrees for the right hand
side). The remote control will not operate if its path is blocked.
NOTE:
• Sunlight or very bright light will decrease the sensitivity of the remote control.
• Old batteries will decrease the sensitivity of the remote control.
Installing batteries
Remove the battery cover from the remote control and put two AAA size batteries
inside the compartment. The diagram inside the battery compartment shows the
correct way to install the batteries.
Precautions when using batteries
• Keep batteries out of children’s reach.
• Do not attempt to recharge, short-circuit, disassemble, heat or throw batteries into
a re.
• Always replace both batteries at the same time. Never mix new and old batteries or
batteries of a different type.
• If you do not intend to use the remote control for an extended period, remove the
batteries to prevent possible leakage and corrosion.
• Do not drop, apply shock or step on the remote control.
• Do not spill water on the remote control.
NOTE: If the set top box does not operate when operating the remote control from a
close range, you need to replace the batteries.

General Safety Instructions
Read this manual thoroughly before rst use and keep it in a safe place for future
reference, along with the warranty card, purchase receipt and carton. The safety
precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of re, electric shock and injury when
correctly adhered to. Follow all instructions and take notice of all warnings to
reduce the risk of fire or electric shock.
Important warnings and cautions!
• To prevent contact with high voltage components
inside, do not attempt to open the cover or the back of
this product. There are no user-serviceable parts inside
this product.
• Do not repair the unit yourself. Only have it serviced by
qualied personnel.
• Do not expose this product to water, rain, moisture or
dust. Do not use it anywhere near water or where water
splashes or drips; do not touch the power plug with
wet hands.
Electrical safety and cord handling
• Before installing this appliance, make sure your outlet voltage corresponds to the
voltage stated on the appliance rating label.
• Only use this appliance with the cord and plug supplied, and do not overload the
power outlet.
• When the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or
similarly qualied personnel in order to avoid a hazard. Contact our after sales
support line in order to avoid a hazard.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch any hot
surface. Do not allow anything to rest on or roll over the power cord, and run any
cords so that no one steps on or trips over them. Do not run the cord near heat-
producing appliances such as radiators, stoves or irons. The excessive heat could
melt the insulation and expose live wires.
• Unplug the unit from the power outlet after use to avoid possible damage during
electrical storms, or when the equipment will be unattended or unused for a long
period of time.
• Always grasp the plug, not the cord, when disconnecting the unit. Pulling the cord
can damage the internal wires and may cause a re.
• This appliance can only be disconnected from the power supply by unplugging it
from the mains socket. Make sure the mains socket is readily accessible.

Installation
• Place the product on a straight, rigid and stable place. Do not place it on carpet. Do
not place it on top of another appliance that may cause overheating (for example, a
receiver or amplier).
• When installing the unit, make sure to place it:
• Away from heat sources, radiators or other products that produce heat.
• Away from areas with high temperatures, high humidity or direct sunlight.
• Away from excess dirt and dust.
• Away from any items that may damage it, such as naked ame sources (lit
candles) or objects containing water.
• Away from open windows and any place where water may get into the unit and
damage it.
• Place the product in a sufciently aerated place. Allow at least 10cm spacing at the
back and top of the product, and 5cm on both sides, to prevent overheating.
Usage conditions and restrictions
• Follow the instructions in this manual when installing and adjusting this appliance.
Only adjust those controls that are covered in this instruction manual, as improper
adjustment of other controls may result in damage. If this happens, unplug the
appliance and have it serviced by appropriately qualied personnel.
• Supervise young children to ensure they do not play with the product. Close
supervision is always necessary when an appliance is used by or near children.
• Do not place anything underneath the product (for example, CDs or magazines).
• Take care not to block any ventilating openings with items such as newspapers,
tablecloths or curtains.
• Dispose of spent or damaged batteries in accordance with local regulations.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they have been given supervision or instructions concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Improper installation or use can result in electrical shock and/or material damage.
We accept no liability for any damage resulting from inappropriate use or
installation.

4 Video output: Composite video output to connect to your TV.
5 HDMI output: HDMI to connect to your TV in high denition.
6 COAXIAL output: Digital sound output to connect to your TV or amplier.
7 YPbPr ouput: Component video output to connect to your TV.

NOTE: When connecting the set top box to other equipment, e.g., TV, make sure to
refer to relevant user manual for instruction. Also, make sure you disconnect all the
equipments from the power before connecting.
WARNING:
Please switch OFF the mains power before plugging or
unplugging connected cables, otherwise it may damage this unit!

Getting Started
First time installation
After all connections have been made properly, switch on the TV. Make sure the set
top box is connected to the mains and the switch is turned on. Press the Standby
button on the set top box. The rst time installation message will appear on the
screen.
• Select OSD Language and press the / button to select a language.
• Press to select Country Setting and press the / button to select your
country of residence.
• Press Select Auto Scan and press the OK button to begin Automatic channel
search.
• Once channel tuning is complete, you are now ready to watch TV.
Power on/standby mode
Press the button on the remote control (or at the front of the STB) to turn on the
power to the unit. The red standby light will extinguish and the LCD will display the
current channel.
To turn the unit off, press the button.
• If you press the button while recording a program, the following choices will be
displayed.
Yes: Recording will stop and the unit will enter standby mode.
Exit: The unit will remain on and continue recording.
• When in standby mode, and a timer recording is scheduled, the unit will turn on
automatically. After recording is completed, the unit will enter standby mode.

EPG (Electronic Program Guide)
The EPG is an on-screen TV guide that shows scheduled programs seven days in
advance for every tuned channel. Press the EPG button on the Remote Control to
access the guide or select EPG main menu.
• Press / to highlight the channel.
• Press to enter the electronic program data list.
• Press / to highlight the program, then press OK to view extended program
information.
• Press EXIT to move back to channel list and to quit and return to normal viewing.
Once in the electronic program data list:
• Press / to navigate the available programs.
• Press / to navigate to view the electronic program data list for the previous or
next day.
• Press the Yellow button to access the booking function (see page 9 for more
infomation on scheduling recordings).

PVR function
NOTE: Before you can record with this set top box (including time-shift recording), you
must have inserted a FAT32 formatted USB storage device into USB port.
Instant recording
• Insert a USB disk into the set top box, the message “USB disk plugged in." will
appear.
• Activate instant recording by pressing PVR button.
• Select recording duration upto a maximum of 24hrs in 15 minute intervals.
• While recording, the recording icon and recording time will be show
• To stop recording at any time, press EXIT button.
Scheduled Recording
• While you are in EPG electronic program data list, press the Yellow button to
access the booking function.
• Select the channel type for recording (TV/Radio).
• Select the channel number for recording.
• Select the date for recording.
• Select the start time for recording.
• Select the end time for recording.
• Select the mode of recording (Once/Weekly/Weekend/Weekday/Daily).
• Select the Timer Mode or recording (Remind/Record).
• Press OK to conrm the booking.
• Press OK to edit a scheduled program.
• Press Red button to delete a scheduled program.

PVR files
When you use the PVR function, the set top box will establish a PVR folder in the USB
device automatically. All the PVR records are saved n this folder and will be listed
in sequence of their channel name. You can play/rename/delete the records in the
folder.
Time-shift
• Connect a USB device to the set top box.
• Activate time-shift by pressing button.
• When time-shift is activated, the main screen will be paused.
• The information bar will display the amount of time you are behind Live TV.
• Press (PLAY) to resume viewing.
• While playing in time-shift mode, you can press again to pause the main screen.
• Press to fast forward at 2X, 4X, 8X, 16X, 32X speeds.
• Press to rewind at 2X, 4X, 8X, 16X, 32X speeds.
• Press to stop time-shift and return to Live TV mode.

Settings Menu
Press the MENU button to open the main menu to view or adjust various settings
as decribed below and on the following pages. Press / buttons to select a main
setting category. Press / buttons to select a menu setting. Press / buttons
to select a setting option. Press EXIT button to go back to previous setting and press
MENU button to exit out of main menu.
Installation Settings
Antenna Setting
In order to get good and stable TV signal reception, set Antenna Setting to “On” if
you use an active antenna or an amplier; or to “Off” if you use a passive antenna (no
amplier).
Country Setting
Select your country of residence. This should be set to 'Australia'. Selecting another
country will affect channel scans.
Auto Scan
• Search and install all channels
automatically. This option overwrites all
preset channels.
Manual Scan
Search and install new channels manually.
This option adds new channels without
changing the current channels.
• Select Manual Scan then press the OK.
The channel search screen will appear.
• Press the / button to select the
channel frequency
• Press the OK button to start searching
channels
• If a channel is found, it will be saved
and added to the channels list. If channels cannot be found, it exits the menu
automatically.

Channel Settings
TV/Radio Channel Editor
To edit your program preferences (rename, lock, skip, favourite, move, sort or delete)
you will need to enter the TV/Radio Channel Editor Menu.
EPG (Electronic Program Guide)

advance for every tuned channel. Select EPG on this menu or press the EPG button
on the Remote Control.
LCN (Logical channel number)
Set LCN on or off.
Time Setting
GMT Usage
Set GMT on or off.
Time Zone
When GMT is on, user can select the
time zone of current region
Set Date
When GMT is off, you can set the current
date.
• Enter the date using remote control's
numerical keys.
Set Time
When GMT is off, you can set current time.
• Enter the time using remote control's numerical keys.

Sleep Time
Set the desired sleep time (available options: 15min, 30min, 45min, 60min, 90min,
120min, OFF).
Summer Time
Set the Daylight Savings Time on or off.
Adv Timer
Access the listing of booked reminders and recordings.
TV Setup Settings
TV format
Select the aspect ratio suitable for your
TV from the available options: 4:3 LB,
4:3 PS, 16:9 LB, 16:9 FIT. Default setting
is 16:9 FIT.
TV Mode
If the video does not appear as it
should, you may need to change the
TV format settings. It should match the
most common setting for TVs in your
country, either NTSC or PAL, depending on the system in your country.
NOTE: The Australian signal is PAL.
Video output
Set the video output setting to HDMI, RCA (CVBS), SCART(CVBS), SCART(RGB) or
YCbCr(YUV).
TV Resolution
Select video output from the following options: Auto, 720p@50Hz, 1080i@50Hz,
1080p@50Hz.
OSD Transparency
Set transparency of OSD (On-Screen Display) value from 1 (maximum transparency) to
8 (minimum transparency).
Banner Display Time
Set the display duration of infomation bar. Available options: 1 sec/3 sec/5 sec/10
sec/30 sec/Always.

Language
OSD Language
Select the OSD language of your
choice.
Audio Language
Select the Audio language for
watching TV channels.
Subtitle Language
Select the preferred SUBTITLE
language.
Digital Audio Output
Set the digital audio output format from available options: LPCM, RAW.
Others Setting
Parental Control
Click OK on Parental Control to
access advanced options.
Menu Lock
Stop others from accessing the menu
options.
Channel Lock
Stop others from rearranging your
channel preferences.
Censorship Lock
Parental Guidance classies the programs into the following:
• No Block - No programs are blocked.
• Block G (and above) - General audiences.
• Block PG (and above) - Parental guidance recommended.
• Block M (and above) - Mature audiences only, parental guidance strongly advised.
• Block MA (and above) - Mature audiences only, 15 years and older.
• Block AV (and above) - Adult audiences, strong violence, 15 years and older.
• Block R (and above) - All R Adult only classied programs are blocked.
• Block All (and above) - All classied programs are blocked.
Note: If there is no classication broadcast, the program will not be blocked.

Change Password
1 Enter the old password. The factory initial password is “0000”.
2 Input the new password.
3 Input the new password again.
NOTE: If you forget the password, please use the master password “4711”.
Update & Backup
Click OK on Update & Backup to
access advanced options.
Image Upgrade
• Update the set top box's software via
USB port.
Image Backup
• Backup the set top box's software via
USB port.
Factory Default
Restore all the set top box's settings
to factory default. Press OK to conrm
your decision.
Calendar/Calculator/Game
Access the add-on features.
