Warranty Details
The product is guaranteed to be free from defects in workmanship and parts for
a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. Defects that occur within this
warranty period, under normal use and care, will be repaired, replaced or refunded
at our discretion. The benefits conferred by this warranty are in addition to all
rights and remedies in respect of the product that the consumer has under the
Competition and Consumer Act 2010 and similar state and territory laws.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian
Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure
and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You
are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of
acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Read this manual thoroughly before first use and keep it in a safe place for
future reference, along with the completed warranty card, purchase receipt
and carton. The safety precautions enclosed herein reduce the risk of fire,
electric shock and injury when correctly adhered to.
•Environment: Do not use this product where it is excessively hot, cold,
dusty or humid, or where it is exposed to strong magnetic fields or long
periods of sunshine.
•Water: Do not expose this device to water; do not use it where it can fall
into water (such as near a pool, pond, bath etc.).
•Handling: Do not drop this product or shake it vigorously to avoid damaging it.
•Volume: Always select the appropriate volume when using the music or
video function. The volume should not be too loud when using earphones. If
the sound distorts, turn down the volume or turn off the device.
•Battery: Please note that the battery can only reach top performance level
after it has been fully charged and discharged two or three times.
•Back-up: To avoid loss of data, we recommend always backing up any
important information, especially before upgrading the hardware. We
assume no liability for any damage and/or data loss due to lack of back-up.
•Accessories: Only use the device with the battery and power adaptor
supplied. Use of other accessories not recommended in this manual may
cause damage to the unit and will void your warranty.
•Usage: Only operate the device according to the instructions in this manual.
We assume no responsibility for faulty use or inappropriate handling.
•Usage: The equipment is not intended for use by persons (including children)
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience
and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the equipment by a person responsible for their safety.
•Children: Supervise young children to ensure they do not play with the device
inappropriately. Close supervision is necessary when the device is used by or

•Cleaning: Clean the housing of the device lightly with a dry or moist cotton

•Repair: This device is a high precision electronic product. It contains no user-
serviceable parts inside. Do not try to dismantle, modify or repair it yourself.

Maintenance
•Keep the device dry. Do not let the device, battery or charger come into
contact with water vapour or operate it with wet hands. Contact with water
will cause the device to short-circuit, corrode or cause electric shock.
•Do not shake the equipment, batteries and charger excessively, which may
cause device or battery failure, fire or explosion.
•Do not expose the device to very low or very high temperatures, which may
cause device or battery failure, fire or explosion.
•Do not disassemble the device and accessories. Disassembly by
unauthorised persons will void the warranty.
Safety
•Do not use the device while driving, so as not to impede safe driving
regulations.
•In health facilities, observe the relevant rules or regulations. Turn off the
mobile internet device (MID) in the vicinity of medical devices.
•Turn off the MID when boarding an airplane in order to avoid interference
with aircraft radio signals.
•Stay away from magnetic equipment; MID radiation may erase the
information stored on the device.

Getting Started
Micro SD Card
Your 10.1” Quad Core Tablet is compatible with Class 10 micro SD cards, up to
32GB in capacity.
• Power off your MID (mobile internet device), then insert your micro SD card
into the micro SD slot on the right side of the MID, making sure the gold
contacts are facing the rear of the MID. Gently push it in until you feel a
soft click.
• To remove the SD card, power off the MID then gently push the SD card
until you feel a soft click and the SD card will eject.
Charging the tablet
Before using your 10.1” Quad Core Tablet for the first time, you need to fully
charge the battery.
• When the tablet is off, a charging indicator will briefly appear on the screen
when the tablet is connected to a charger.
• While charging, with the tablet turned on, a charging symbol will appear in
the notification bar.
Charging with AC adaptor
• To charge the device with the AC adaptor, plug the 5V DC output into the
charging port on the MID.
• Plug the AC adaptor into your mains power supply.

MID status and notifications
Notification icons will appear in the top of the screen; below is a description
of their meanings. Click on the column box to open the notification list.
Buttons
The two buttons located on the right side of the tablet allow you to turn the
tablet ON/OFF and EXIT out of applications. To use a button, gently press it;
you will feel a soft click.
Charging using USB cable and computer
• To charge the device via a computer, plug the USB end of the micro USB
cable into a USB port on the computer, and the micro USB end into the
micro USB port on the tablet.
• Ensure that your computer and the tablet are both turned on.
• Charging times will vary, depending on the computer. In general, charging via
USB will take longer than with an AC adaptor.

Switch on/off the device
POWER button
• Long press to turn on (3 seconds).
• When in power-on state, briefly press to turn the screen on or off, or long
press (3 seconds) to display the Power Off menu.
Switch on
• While in the power-off state, long press the POWER button (3 seconds) and
the device will start up.
Switch off
• Long press the POWER button (3 seconds) to display an options list.
Choose to switch off the device.
Turn on/off the screen
• After a period of inactivity the screen will automatically turn off to save
battery power. This can be set using the “Sleep” setting from the Display
menu in the device settings menu.
• If after a long time in sleep state the screen does not turn on, press and
hold the POWER button for 10 seconds to reset the power.
Turn on the screen
• If the screen is off, press the POWER button to turn it back on.
MID screen operation
Click / Short Press When using the on-screen keyboard, opening an
application or selecting items.
Long Press Press and hold for several seconds on an item (such
as a text box or web page link) to display the action
or submenu for an item, if available.
Slide or
Rapid Slide
Sliding or fast sliding means vertical or horizontal
drag action.
Drag When dragging, you must hold the icon with your
finger and keep pressure until it reaches destination.
Display Rotation For most of the screens, the content will change
between landscape and portrait mode, according to
the device orientation.

• Drag the lock icon to the left side to unlock the screen.
• After unlocking the screen, you will see the last item you had open or the
main screen. You can view the pages by swiping left and right across the
screen.
• To return quickly to the main screen, press the house icon in the lower
middle.

Navigation Soft Buttons
There are some buttons that will always be on the screen. No matter what
functions you are using, you can return to the last page or main screen by
using these buttons.

Go to the last page (even in another application).
When returned to the main screen, you cannot go
to the last page again.

screen Shortcut to Home Screen
Recent
applications
Display a list of recently used applications /
background applications.
• If you do not use these keys for a long time, they will reduce to small dots
or become light coloured.
Icons Description
Click to display a list of all applications and
widgets.
Click to search for a file or application on the
tablet, or to search the internet.

Some menu items will allow you to change settings or status by clicking on
them, others will open a new window to display all options for that setting.
Notifications
The top right corner where the time is shown is called Notification Column.
After clicking on it, the below menu will pop up.

Applications and widgets
Enter applications
• Click to enter the list of all applications and widgets.
• This window will display a list of the applications you have installed.
• As you install more applications, the first page will fill up and the
application icons will automatically spread onto other pages.
• Swipe left and right to see the other pages.

Enter widgets
• Tap and hold on the Home Screen to see the options.
• Tap on the Widget symbol.
Widgets are icons created by some applications to allow quick access to
various features or to display information without the need to open the
associated application.
• As you install more applications that have widgets, the first page will fill up
and the application icons will automatically spread onto other pages.
• Swipe left and right to see the other pages.
• To place a widget, long press on it, and the display will change to show the
main screen. Drag the widget to the position you want to place it, then lift
your finger.

Add and manage home screen icons
Add home screen icons
• At the application list or widget list, long press any application or widget
and the device will shift into home screen, then drag them to any place on
the home screen.
Home screen shortcuts management
• To create a folder on the main screens, just drag and overlay any icon onto
another icon, then release. A new folder will be created containing the two
applications. It will appear as a black circle with small icons of your apps
on top.

• To view the folder contents, click on the folder icon and it will display as
pictured below.
• To change the folder name, click on the folder, then click on “Unnamed
Folder”. A keyboard will appear. Type the new name, then press Done to
apply it.
• To change an icon’s position inside the folder, long press the icon, then
drag it to the new position.
• To remove an icon from the folder, long press the icon and drag it to
outside the folder.

Delete desktop shortcuts
• Long press any icon on the desktop and this icon will pop up.
• To delete the icon, drag the icon onto the top of and let go when it is a
red colour. This also works for deleting folders and widgets.
Change wallpaper
• Press and hold any blank area on the screen; the below menu will appear.

Connect with computer
• Connect the device to a computer with a USB cable. When connected
with a computer, a message will appear in the notification bar which will
describe which USB mode the MID is in.
There are 4 options available to choose from.
• USB Storage
• Media Device (MTP)
• Camera (PTP)
• Charge only
Some devices or computers may only be able to detect the tablet if “USB
Storage” is selected.
After choosing an option, you may need to disconnect the USB cable, then
reconnect it.
When “USB Storage” mode is selected, you will need to click on “Turn
on USB storage” when the message appears. USB storage is not
recommended for Windows 7.
NOTE: If the message does not appear when you connect the tablet to
your computer with a USB cable, or if the device does not appear on your
computer, try the following:
• Check and ensure that you have turned the tablet on. Check and ensure
that your computer is turned on.
• Unplug the USB cable, then reconnect it to the same USB port.
• If your computer has USB ports on the rear, try connecting to one.
• Try a different USB cable.

• Click to open the browser.
• When you click in the address bar, the device will automatically pop up
the keyboard.

• Click to open a new browser window.
• Click to close the current browser window.
• Click at the top right corner to show the browser menu.
• When the internet signal is poor and the web page does not load, click
“Refresh” in the menu to try loading the web page again. There are many
useful advanced options in “Settings”.
