Safety instructions
General information
•Please keep the instruction manual safe!
•Only use in dry rooms.
•Only use unmodified original parts from the control unit manufacturer.
•Keep children away from control units.
•Observe all pertinent country-specific regulations.
•Dispose of used batteries properly. Only replace the battery with one of
the same type (see Technical Data).
Caution
•Keep people out of the system’s range of travel.
•If the system is controlled by one or more transmitters,
the system’s range of travel must always be visible during
operation.
•Device contains small parts that can be swallowed.
4-en

Intended use
The transmitter described in these instructions must only be used indoors for
the operation of radio drives and radio control units that are compatible with
the CentronicPlus.
Attention
A safety-relevant function has been provided for the
thresholds. Setting the threshold values wrongly can cause
damage to the sun protection system. For that reason, set-
ting the threshold values for the safety of your sun protection
system should only be done by – or under the instruction of –
a specialist retailer.
•Please note that radio-controlled systems may not be used in areas with
a high risk of interference (e.g. hospitals, airports).
•The remote control is intended solely for use with equipment and sys-
tems in which malfunctions in the transmitter or receiver would not pose
any risk to persons, animals or property, or which contain safety devices
to eliminate such risks.
•The operator is not protected from interference from other telecommu-
nications systems and terminal equipment (e.g. even from radio-con-
trolled systems which are properly operated in the same frequency
range).
•Only connect radio receivers to devices and systems approved by the
manufacturer.
•Ensure that the control unit is not installed or operated
close to metal surfaces or magnetic fields.
•Radio-controlled systems transmitting on the same fre-
quency may cause reception interference.
•Note that the range of the radio signal is limited by legis-
lation as well as by design.

Channel selection/ Group selection/ Central command
The channel of a transmitter can be programmed into one or more receivers.
Only the channels in which receivers are programmed are displayed. One
channel is activated through an individual command, several channels through
a group command or central command.
One group has a maximum of 4 channels and is assigned a colour.
Depending on the model/ specification of the transmitter, several groups can
be selected.
One quarter of the LED ring lights up to indicate each of the individual chan-
nels. A group consists of four channels which are represented by different col-
ours.
If the entire LED ring lights up in one of the group colours, this group is selec-
ted. With the group command, all channels of the selected group are activ-
ated.
If the entire LED ring lights up white, the central command is selected. With the
central command, all channels of all groups are activated.

Intermediate position I + II
The intermediate positions I + II are freely selectable positions for the shading
solution between the two limit positions. Each travel button can be assigned
one intermediate position. Both limit positions must be set before an interme-
diate position is set.
Whether or not this function is available depends on the devices used and is
described in the relevant instructions for the receiver.
Thresholds
The function button can be used to retrieve and set thresholds for sensors.
Whether or not this option for setting values is available depends on the
devices used and is described in the relevant instructions for the sensor.
Installation key
All of the devices operating within an installation must have the same installa-
tion key in order to communicate with one another. This key is created on ini-
tial commissioning, and is then transmitted to the additional added devices.
The installation key is only known to the programmed devices, and cannot be
read off. The commissioning procedure is described in the relevant instruc-
tions for the receiver.
