Sample Processing Using the STAT Table
Note: If STAT PAUSE (F2) was selected to load samples, then
the new samples need to be placed in any position with a
higher position number than those for the existing samples.
Place each sample in a STAT table position:
For the correct container size (tube adapters are for either
13 mm or 16 mm diameter containers)
With the bar code facing out
With caps removed
Close the small STAT table cover
Sufficient
volume in
primary sample
tube?

Transfer sample into a
validated low volume container
To monitor sample status on the analyzer:
Select RESULT
Select:
- A sample ID and then Detail to view the tests
ordered, results, and flags for the selected sample
-Realtime List to view a list of completed samples
with test results

Open the small STAT table cover
START HERE
Press the green STAT START button on the analyzer.

table is set to Disabled
Multiple Loads STAT

Manual Programming for Samples on the STAT Table
Manually order a sample:
1. Select STAT > STAT (Patient) > Test Order
2. In Type, select the sample type
3. Enter the bar code number in Sample ID
4. Select each test individually or select Panel to select a panel, and then
select OK. Selected tests are highlighted in blue
5. If a manual dilution was made, enter the dilution rate in the Sample
Dilution Rate
6. Select the Demographics tab to enter required patient demographic
information
7. Select Save (F2)
8. To order more samples, select the Test Order tab, repeat steps 2 to 7
Select Close (F1)
Optional: Select Pending List (F4) to view a list of samples ordered
- Select Close to close the Pending List, or
- Select the sample from the Pending List and select Jump to the
Selected Sample to view the specific sample order
Open the small STAT table cover
Load samples in the appropriate available positions with the bar codes
facing out. Press the green DIAG/TABLE ROTATION button to rotate
the STAT table to the desired position
Close the small STAT table cover

Perform Add On and Rerun Tests on the STAT Table
Order an add on or rerun test:
Select Rerun (F3). The system displays the first run tests, identified by
an *, with results and flags (if any)
Select the test(s) to add on or rerun. Selected tests are highlighted in blue
(for normal analysis)
Select OK
Optional: select Pending List (F4) to view a list of ordered samples:
Select Close to close the Pending List, or
Select the sample from the Pending List and select Jump to the
Selected Sample to view the specific sample order
Select STAT > STAT (Patient) > Test Order
Select Search by Sample ID to enter the sample ID, select Search

A STAT sample requires an add on or rerun test to be processed on the STAT
table using the same sample ID and index as the original sample
STAT Table Settings are set to Bar Code
Auto Rerun for the STAT table is set to Disabled
Multiple Loads STAT table operation is Disabled
Open the small STAT table cover
Load samples in the appropriate available positions with the bar codes
facing out. Press the green DIAG/TABLE ROTATION button to rotate the
STAT table to the desired position
Close the small STAT table cover
Press the green STAT START button on the analyzer
The system starts analysis and the STAT TABLE ROTATION LED
begins to blink
