1 Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the BellCount S715 banknote counter.
Before using the machine, please carefully read this manual to fully understand how the machine is safely operated and
how to avoid damaging the machine. Keep the manual in a safe place for future use.

1.2 Important Notes and Safety Instructions
•BellCount S715 is exclusively for indoor usages, do not use it outdoors.
•Do not disassemble S715. If there are any problems with operations, please contact the BellCon authorized
distributor.
•Do not expose S715 to liquids, extreme humidity or moisture.
•Avoid operating S715 in environments with strong magnetic and/or electromagnetic fields. For example keep S715
away from magnets, activated cellular phones, electrical appliances, or loudspeakers within 13 cm/5 inches.
•Use the supplied power cord at a properly grounded outlet.

3 BellCount S715 Operation
3.1 Power On/Off
How to switch on S715:
1. Connect the power cable to S715 and the power outlet.
2. Press the Power Switch button on the rear side of S715.
3. After a short boot-up and self-test, S715 enters the main menu.
How to switch off S715:
1. Make sure to save counting results, which you want to keep.
2. Press the power switch button to turn the machine off.
3.2 How to Handle and Place Banknotes in S715
To count banknotes smoothly, please follow the following guidelines:
1. Avoid counting wet, excessively dirty or spoiled notes.
2. Check for foreign matters mixed with the notes, i.e.: paper chips, rubber bands, clips, dust, etc. which will jam the
note path or even damage the sensors.
3. Remove folds or curls from the notes before placing them in the hopper.
4. Align all the corners and edges of the notes, unevenness could cause errors.
5. Put the notes in the centre of hopper and adjust the hopper guides if necessary.

3.3 Dual User Operation
S715 supports two individual counting operations and the counting results of the two users are saved separately. S715
can also print the counting results of the two users on separate printers (see section 3.13).
1. The two sets of and are for the operation by two users.
•The left side buttons are for User 1 .
•The right side buttons are for User 2 .
2. (Left).
•Press the on the left side to select User 1.
•Confirm and/or cancel all the banknote processing functions by
using the and of the left side.
3. (Right).
•Press the on the right side to select User 2.
•Confirm and/or cancel all the banknotes processing functions by
using the and of the right side.
4. Clearing the counting results.
•Press of the current user ( or ).
For and , all the functions of banknote processing are separate and individual. Two users can operate S715 with
their current preferences. The counting result and settings of the counting modes are not interfered.
NOTE: Dual user operation is only for the counting modes. It does not include the general settings under the Settings
menu.

3.4 Selecting Currency
How to select one of the factory preset currencies:
1. Press/toggle .
•The available currencies and CNT (Count Mode) are shown
sequentially on the left top of the display.
•Select the desired currency and start processing the banknotes.
2. Press and hold .
•All the available currencies are listed in the display scroll list.
•Use and to highlight the desired currency.
•Press to confirm the selection.
3. CNT - Count Mode.
•S715 counts notes without banknote security features detection.
•The display shows the number of counted banknotes.
•Press F2 to select between four different note size tolerances. The
note size is defined by the first note of a processed batch.
100% acceptance of all note sizes.
30% tolerance on the note size.
20% tolerance on the note size.
10% tolerance on the note size.

3.5 Counting Information
When note processing is done, press/toggle F1 to see the detailed
information of the current transaction. F1 toggles the following sequence:
1. Main menu
2. List Mode
3. Grand Total (if Add Mode is activated)
4. Day Total (if Add Mode is activated)
5. Reject Reasons
1. List Mode.
•The detailed counting result is shown with all information
available: the value, quantity and subtotal of accepted notes.
2. Grand Total (only available when Add Mode is activated).
•All the confirmed transactions are accumulated into the Grand
Total list.
•Press to see the Grand Total lists of different counted
currencies.
3. Day Total (only available when Add Mode is activated).
•All the confirmed transactions in one day are accumulated into the
Day Total list.
•Press to see the Grand Total list of different counted
currencies.
•All the counting information within 30 days are saved in S715’s
memory. Press or to see the counting information
of different dates.

4. Reject Reasons.
•The display shows the number of rejected banknotes next to the
specific reject reasons.
•The total number of rejected banknotes is shown on the bottom
line of the display.
•Definition of reject reasons:
Double: Double feeding error.
Skew: A note skews during the processing.
Unknow Image: Unknown banknote image.
Chain: Banknotes chain in the note path.
Note Gate: Gap between two notes is too narrow.
IR Error: Infrared security feature error.
MG Error: Magnetism feature error
IMG Error: Image detection error
Other Error: Various errors

3.6 Add Mode
In the Add Mode, all counting results are summarized.
1. Hold and toggle to switch between Add Mode
On/Off.
•When Add mode is turned on, the icon appears in the top line
of the display.
2. "Current" shows the current counting result.
3. Press F3 (Print) to confirm the counting result.
4. Press F3 again under Print Mode to confirm the transaction.
5. The current transaction is accumulated to the Total Amount and
pieces.
•The saved transaction is accumulated to Grand Total and Day
Total (see section 3.7 and 3.8).
Hold and press to deactivate the Add Mode.
•When Add Mode is turned off, the icon disappears from the
display.

3.7 Grand Total
The Grand Total accumulates the confirmed transactions.
How to save a transaction to the Grand Total:
1. After counting, press F3.
2. Press F3 again for confirming the transaction.
3. The current transaction is accumulated to the Total Amount and
pieces.
4. Press F3 again to go to the Print Mode. The following options
appear:
•Print the current transaction:
•Print the Grand Total:
•Clear the Grand Total:
•Exit the Print Mode:
How to check the Grand Total list:
1. Press F1 two times.

2. The list shows all the accumulated, confirmed transactions.
•Press to see the Grand Total list of other currencies.
3. Print a receipt (if a printer is connected).
•Press F3 and the receipt is printed.
4. Exit Grand Total menu.
•Toggle F1 until the Main menu appears.
3.8 Day Total
The Day Total accumulates the confirmed transactions of each day.
1. Press F1 three times.
2. The total of all the confirmed transactions of one day are listed.
•Use and to switch to another date.
3. Press F3 to print the Day Total receipts.
•Print the Day Total of all days:
•Print the Day Total of one day:
•Exit:
4. Exit Day Total menu.
•Toggle F1 until the Main menu appears.

3.9 Automatic and Manual Counting Start Mode
How to switch between Automatic and Manual Counting Start Mode:
1. Hold and press to switch between Automatic and
Manual Counting Start Mode.
•With activated (Automatic Start Mode), S715 starts counting
as soon as banknotes are detected in the hopper.
•With activated (Manual Start Mode), S715 starts counting
when pressing .
3.10 Counting Speed
How to adjust the Counting Speed:
1. Hold and toggle to select the desired Counting Speed.
2. Three different Counting Speeds are shown in the top line of the
display.
600 notes/minute.
800 notes/minute.
1000 notes/minute.

3.11 Batch Counting
How to count a preset number of banknotes or a preset amount.
1. Hold and toggle to select banknote batch by pieces or
banknote batch by amount.
•You can now preset a batch value.
2. Enter a desired quantity by using the numerical keys.
3. Press to confirm the batch value and go back to the Main menu.
4. The preset batch value is shown on the bottom line of the display.
How to perform Batch Counting by pieces:
•Input the desired banknote pieces batch value.
•When counting, the machine stops once the counted banknotes
reach the preset batch quantity.
How to perform Batch Counting by amount:
•Input the desired banknote amount batch value.
•When counting, the machine stops once the preset batch amount is
reached.
•Unnecessary values and suspicious notes are delivered to the
Reject Pocket.
How to cancel the batch function:
1. Hold and toggle to select banknote batch by pieces or
banknote batch by amount.
2. Press to clear the preset value.
3. Press to confirm and go back to the Main menu.
4. The preset batch value is now cancelled.

3.12 Sorting Modes
How to count banknotes with different sorting functions.
1. Toggle the F2 key to select the desired Sorting Mode.
•The selected Sorting Modes are shown sequentially next to the
currency code on the top line of the display. F2 toggles the
following sequence:
1. MIX
2. SORT
3. FACE
4. ORNT
5. EMISSION
2. Press and hold the F2 key for a while; the list of all Sorting Modes
now appears in the display.
•Use and or toggle F2 to highlight the desired
Sorting Mode.
•Press to confirm the selection.
3.12.1 Definition of the Sorting Modes:
Mixed Value Mode Counts mixed denomination banknotes. Suspicious notes are delivered
to the reject pocket.
Single Value Mode Counts banknotes with the denomination of the first detected genuine
note. Suspicious banknotes and banknotes with a deviating
denomination are delivered to the reject pocket.
Face Sorting Mode
Counts banknotes with the face of the first detected, genuine note.
Delivers banknotes with different faces and suspicious notes to the reject
pocket.
NOTE: Further sorting functions for the Face Sorting Mode can be set
under the Settings Mode menu. Please refer to section 4.5.1.
Orientation Sorting Mode
Counts banknotes with the orientation of the first detected, genuine
banknote. Delivers suspicious banknotes and banknotes with deviating
orientations to the Reject Pocket.
NOTE: Further sorting functions for the Orientation Sorting Mode can
be set under the Settings Mode menu. Please refer to section 4.5.2.
Issue Sorting Mode
Counts banknotes of the issue series of the first detected, genuine bank
note. Delivers suspicious banknotes and banknotes from deviating issue
series to the reject pocket.
NOTE: Further sorting functions for the Issue Sorting Mode can be set
up under the Settings Mode menu. Please refer to section 4.5.3.

3.13 Printing Function
How to print the counting result as a receipt using an external printer (option).
1. Connect one (or two) printer(s) to the printer socket(s) at the rear of
S715.
2. Press the F3 key.
3. Follow the instructions in the display to proceed.
•Press or to select one or two copies of the receipt.
•Press to start the printing job.
•Press to confirm the transaction into the Grand Total and Day
Total memory.
•Press to cancel the operation.
4. Receipt contents.
•The receipt lists the currency code, the quantity by denominations,
the subtotals, and the total quantity and amount.

3.14 Error Handling
3.14.1 How to Clear an Error Message
For example, if you open the Upper Note Path (and close it again); an error message window will appear. You can clear
the error message by following the below procedure:
1. Press to clear error message.
2. The motor runs shortly at medium speed to clear the Note Path.
Remaining notes etc. will be ejected to the Reject Pocket.
3. The machine works normally again.
