Please read this User Guide carefully before operating your
550W BLENDER and keep it for future reference.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• Remove all packaging before using the appliance for the first time.
Keep packaging out of reach of children
• Check that the voltage indicated on the rating label (220-240V)
corresponds with the mains voltage in your home
• DO NOT PROCESS HOT FOODS OR HOT LIQUIDS
• Always place the appliance on a solid, flat, dry surface
• Do not leave the appliance operating while unattended
• If the blades get stuck while processing, unplug the unit and remove the
food that is blocking the blades with a suitable utensil
• Do not overfill the jug. To avoid spilling, do not add ingredients past the
1.5 litre mark
• Do not operate the appliance with an empty jug
• DANGER - SHARP BLADES: KEEP HANDS, HAIR, CLOTHING &
UTENSILS OUT OF THE JUG WHILE IN USE TO REDUCE THE RISK OF
SEVERE INJURY OR DAMAGE TO THE APPLIANCE
• DO NOT use the appliance for hard objects such as bones, shelled nuts
or frozen meats
• Make sure your hands are dry when operating switches or removing
the electrical plug
• To avoid electrical shock or damage to the appliance, keep the
machine base away from water. If the appliance falls into water while
plugged in, do not touch it. Unplug the machine first before attempting
to remove it
• To clean the appliance base, wipe with a damp cloth. Never submerge
the machine base or power cord in water
• Do not operate if any part of the machine or power cord is damaged
• Do not attempt to repair or disassemble the appliance
• To unplug, grip the plug to remove from the wall socket. Never pull on
the power cord to disconnect the plug
• Always use caution when handling the blade attachment
• Do not use if the blades are bent or damaged
• Unplug from the power outlet when not in use
• Do not remove the jug from the base while the appliance is switched on
or in use
• Only use attachments supplied and assemble only as instructed. Do not
use attachments or parts from other products with the appliance
• Only use the appliance for its intended use
• For home use only, not for commercial use
• Not for use by children or uninformed persons
• Keep the appliance out of reach of children

• Before first use, wash all removable parts and accessories in warm,
soapy water and dry before assembling the unit
• DO NOT IMMERSE THE BLENDER BASE UNIT OR POWER CORD IN
WATER
• Do not connect the unit to electrical power until fully assembled
Place the Jug onto the Base Unit. Lock into place by turning the
Jug to align the arrow on the Jug
with the arrow on the Base Unit.
NOTE: The Blender has a safety lock that will prevent operation unless
the Jug is properly connected to the Base.
CAUTION:
The blender is ON when connected to the electrical power.
• DANGER: KEEP HANDS, HAIR, CLOTHING & UTENSILS OUT OF THE
JUG WHILE IN USE TO REDUCE THE RISK OF SEVERE INJURY OR
DAMAGE TO THE APPLIANCE
• IMPORTANT OPERATING NOTE:
Do not operate for the blender for longer than1 minute at a time. Then
allow the blender to cool down for 5 minutes. This is 1 cycle. DO NOT
operate the blender for more than 5 cycles in a row. After 5 cycles,
allow the motor to cool down for 2 hours before operating again

DO NOT OPERATE THE BLENDER WITHOUT THE LID INSTALLED
• Add the desired ingredients to the Jug. Depending on the ingredients,
it may be necessary to cut them into suitably-sized pieces before
adding to the Jug. Do not fill past the 1.5 litre mark
• Only blend soft fruits or vegetables such as apple, pear, banana, etc
• Always add liquid to the jug while blending
• If the blades get stuck while processing, use the Stirring Paddle to
loosen the mix, or unplug the unit and remove the food that is blocking
the blades with a suitable utensil
• Do not process hot foods or hot liquids as this may create a pressure
build-up inside the jug, which could cause the lid to burst off
Insert the Inner Lid into the Jug Lid.
Turn the Jug Lid clockwise to lock
into place. Make sure to line up
the slots in the Jug Lid with the
jug spout.
Insert the Jug Lid into the Blending Jug.
Place the Stirring Paddle into the
slot in the lid if required.

USING THE GRINDING MILL

To grind hard foods such as nuts, coffee beans or spices, attach the
Grinding Mill as shown below.
Reassemble the Blade Base and
Grinding Mill and place onto the
Base Unit.
Lock into place by turning the
Grinding Mill to align the arrow
on the Grinding Mill with the
arrow on the Base Unit.
Release the Blade Base of the
Grinding Mill by turning it
anticlockwise.
Remove the Blade Base from the
Grinding Mill and add the
desired ingredients to the cup.

CARE & CLEANING
• Unplug the Base Unit from the main power supply
• Clean the Base Unit with a soft, damp cloth
• Do not use abrasive cleaning detergents
• Do not immerse the Base Unit in water
• Wipe dry with a soft cloth
• Do not clean any of the blender parts in a dishwasher
• Wash the Blending Jug, Grinding Mill and lids directly after use to
prevent food becoming hardened
• Add warm soapy water to the Blending Jug and run the blender for a
short time to assist with cleaning. Then remove the Blending Jug and
Lids and wash completely in warm soapy water
• Make sure that all parts are completely dry before reassembling and
storing the blender

Select the required speed by
turning the Speed Control Dial:
0: Off
1: Low Speed
2: Med/Low Speed
3: Med/High Speed
4: High Speed
WARNING:
THE BLADES ARE EXTREMELY SHARP.
USE CAUTION WHEN CLEANING THE BLADES.
PULSE:
To pulse the motor, press the
Pulse Button for short bursts of
no longer than 3 seconds at a
time.

WARRANTY
Your Bennett Read 550W BLENDER is warranted against
manufacture faults for a period of one year. If you register
your warranty online at www.tevo.co.za within 14 days of
purchase, then your warranty will be extended to 2 years.
Tevo undertakes to repair or replace this product at no charge
if found to be defective due to a manufacturing fault during
the warranty period. This warranty excludes damage caused
by misuse, neglect, shipping accident, commercial use,
incorrect installation, or work carried out by anyone other
than a authorized and qualified Tevo service technician. Tevo
is not liable for incidental or consequential damages of any
nature associated with the use of this product. Tevo’s liability
will not exceed the purchase price of this product.
