* Battery life can vary depending on the ambient temperature, use of the chair lifting function
and type of ground.
The Mobili Kit control unit controls direction, speed and jack of the motorised chair. It
can be tted on the right or left and is height-adjustable.
The 'Start/Stop' button delivers power to the electronic components: of the control
system, which in turn power the motors and jack.
The audible warning allows the user to signal their presence in their environment in case
of difculties, obstacles or danger.
The speed control buttons increase or decrease the speed of the equipment (from 1 to
5).
The jack function is used to lower the footrests and raise the back of the chair.
The joystick is used to controls the chair's movements.
By pressing the 'jack' button, the joystick then initiates two movements: lowering the
footrests and raising the back of the chair.

98
OPERATING PRACTICES
Before making your rst journey, you should familiarise yourself with operation of the motorised chair and all the accessories.
Take your time to test all the functions and operating modes.
PROPERLY SEATED = SAFE OPERATION
Before each journey, check that:
• You are seated so as to have access to all the controls.
• The battery sufciently charged for the journey you're planning to make.
• The chair securing straps are correctly tted.
Start moving by pressing the 'Start/Stop' button on the control unit once. This turns the power on. Pressing this button again turns
off and deactivates the control unit. Any problem is signalled by ashing indicator lights on the control unit, preventing movement
of the motorised chair.
The direction and speed are controlled by the joystick. Although the control system is relatively easy to use, a little practice will be
needed to control the motorised chair properly at different speeds.
To move, just push the joystick in the direction you want to go. The joystick's distance from its neutral position determines the
speed and radius of curvature of movement.
When the joystick is released it returns to the neutral position (central) automatically, the motorised chair's movement stops and
the brakes are applied.
The speed the motorised chair can reach is set by the speed regulator. The user can select one of 5possible speeds.
The speed is adjusted using the or buttons: 5 LEDs tell you the speed selected. When the 5 orange LEDs are lit, the
maximum power is available (max 4kph).
When the equipment is used very intensively, the safety cut-out device for the motors is tripped. In this case, the equipment stops.
You have to wait 2 or 3 minutes before the initial power is restored.
If you push the joystick forwards:
First the footrests are lowered then the back of the chair is raised (you can stop this movement at
any time by releasing the joystick).
Comment: it is not possible to move when the footrests are on the oor. The speed indicator LEDs ash
to remind you to raise the footrests before moving forward.
If you push the joystick backwards, the equipment returns to its original position and the footrests
are raised.
To return to movement mode, press one of the two 'jack' or 'speed control' buttons.
How to move about?
For opmal comfort, remember to install a small ramp to cross obstacles.
How is transfer assistance used?
Press one of the two jack buttons marked with the chair symbol on the control unit: two orange LEDs light up when this function
is activated.
How to brake?
To prevent any uncontrolled movement of the motorised chair, the motors are ed with automac brakes that are applied under
the following condions:
• The start/stop switch is in the 'stop' posion.
• The start/stop switch is in the 'start' posion and the joysck is in the neutral posion.
The brake is released automatically as soon as the chair starts moving, as the joystick is out of the neutral position.
The safest and simplest way to stop your equipment is to release the joystick. This will bring the motorised chair to a controlled
stop. If the power supply fails, the brakes are operated automatically.
When you need to push the motorised chair by hand, if it breaks down or in an emergency, the brakes must be disengaged. You
must turn off the power supply rst. A disengage button is located at the back of each motor and you just have to turn the button
1½ turns clockwise to disengage each brake. In this conguration, it is no longer possible to move with the equipment. The speed
indicator LEDs ash to tell you the motors are stopped.
SERVICING AND MAINTENANCE
The use should regularly check the condition of the equipment to ensure it is used safely.
After having cleaned or repaired the motor unit, you must always check it is working correctly before using it.
• Turn in the manual control – Do the indicator lights ash? If they do, this means there is a problem in the electronic system.
• Test the parking brake on a at surface with clear space of at least 1m around the motorised chair: connect the control unit,
check that the battery indicator remains lit or ashes slowly; after a second, push the joystick gently forward until you hear the
parking brakes activate (it is possible that the vertical will move forward), then immediately release the joystick.
• Repeat the test a further three times, pushing the joystick gently back, left and right.
• Activate all the electrical options, including the audible warning, to conrm they are working correctly.
• Use the motor unit in all operating modes to conrm that it functions as before.
It is recommended that the items shown in the table are inspected at the stated intervals.
Your approved dealer should repair or replace loose, worn, distorted or damaged parts before using your motor unit.

SAFETY AND HAZARD INSTRUCTIONS

1716
Damage caused to the cables of the motorised chair can cause
safety problems and must be reported immediately to an
approved service technician.
SAFETY INFORMATION ABOUT OPERATION
DANGER
Risk of damage to the equipment or serious, even fatal, injury.
• Adapt your speed to the environment in which you are
travelling.
• The motor unit must not be operated when the chair is in an
inclined position or if the footrests are pressing on the oor.
Any malfunction of the control unit is liable to result in
unexpected/erratic movements leading to damage to the
equipment or serious, even fatal, injuries.
• If an unexpected/erratic movement occurs, stop using
the motorised chair immediately and contact a qualied
technician.
• It is important that the joystick is replaced if it is damaged or
weakened, as this could damage the control unit.
WARNING
Risk of injury if the motorised chair tips over.
• Refer to the technical specications (maximum safe slope)
• As far as possible, avoid use on slippery, icy or oily surfaces
when there is a risk of losing control of the motorised chair. If
you cannot avoid travelling over such surfaces, move slowly
and with the greatest care.
• Ensure that there are no objects in your path likely to damage
the mechanism of your motorised chair.
• Never try to go over an obstacle when moving
• Avoid passing over thresholds more than 20mm high while
moving forward so as not to threaten your stability, and
remember to arrange for a slope, if necessary.
• When you cross obstacles, always stay within the maximum
obstacle height (refer to the Technical Specications section).
• Never try to go down a series of steps with your motorised
chair.
• Avoid making sudden movements of the control unit or
sudden changes of direction while the motorised chair is
moving.
• Never use the motorised chair to transport several people.
• Do not exceed the maximum total permitted load (refer to
the Technical Specications section).
• Remember that the motorised chair brakes or accelerates
when you change the speed of travel while the chair is
moving.
• Never use the function to raise the back of the chair on a
sloping surface.
• It is strictly forbidden to stand on the footrests. If you have
to stand on the footrests to get on or off the chair, lower
them and rest them on the oor.
WARNING
Risk of damage to the equipment or serious injury
Incorrect positioning when you lean forward or to the side can
cause the motorised chair to tip over and cause serious injuries
or damage to the equipment.
• To ensure your motorised chair remains stable and operates
correctly, you must always maintain correct balance. Your
motor unit has been designed to remain upright and stable
during normal daily activities, as long as you do NOT go
outside the centre of gravity.
• Don't try to lean forward to pick up objects on the oor.
WARNING
Risk of injury if your foot slips off the footrests and is jammed
under the motorised chair while it is moving.
• Before starting the motorised chair, ensure that your feet
rest correctly on the footrest plates.
WARNING
Risk of injury if you collide with an obstacle while passing
through narrow passageways such as doors and entrances.
• Pass through narrow passageways at the slowest speed of
travel and with the greatest care.
