transfersnearthebed.
• TheArcoRailisnottobeusedasarestraint,ortopreventpeople
fromfallingoutofbed.TherearecorrectlydesignedBedRailsfor
thesepurposes.
• ENTRAPMENT:Entrapmentdescribesasituationwhereaperson’s
neck,head,chestortorsocangettrappedinthespacebetween
themattressandhorizontalbarorbetweentheverticalbarand
thesideofthemattress.Themattressmustbetightagainstthe
verticalbarandshouldbecheckeddaily.Asaferwaytoprevent
gapsbetweenthemattressandtheverticalbaristoinstall
twoArcoRails,oneoneithersideofthemattress.Extrasafety
measuresandprecautionsshouldbeusedwithhigh-riskpeople.

andissuitableforpeopleweighingupto300lbs(135kgs)

USING THE ARCORAIL
TheArcoRailhorizontalbarcanrotate360°,lockingsafelyandrmlyin
four90°positions.
1. Changing the direction of the horizontal bar.
2. Entering and Exiting the bed.
Toenterorexitthebedholdontoboththeverticalbarandthe
horizontalbar.Itwillbeeasierifyousitonthebedbesidethe
ArcoRailawayfromtheheadofthebed.
3. Using the ArcoRail to sit up or reposition on the bed.
TheArcoRailcanbeusedtositup,move,repositionorlaydown
onthebed.SwiveltheArcoRailtothemostcomfortableposition
foryouandgrabittoassistyouwhenyouaremoving.
4. Maintenance:
• Regularmaintenanceandcleaningwillimprovethesafety
anddurabilityofyourArcoRail.
•Periodicallymakesurethatalltheboltsaretight.
• Alwaysmakesurethatthemattressistightagainstthe
verticalpost.

for REGULAR HOME STYLE beds (AR-25)
Please read the following instructions before you start to assemble the Arcorail bedside handrail.
This document contains important safety information.
Regular Home Style beds have
ANGLE IRON FRAMES that are
horizontal and at at the bottom.

Select Installation Position
Pre-Assemble These Parts
Mark the bed frame 36” from the head of the bed
INSTALLATION TIP:
Make sure that the snap buttons in
part H are in the respective holes.
INSTALLATION TIP:
Put the Post in place now Note: Two connector tubes (H) replace AR18

Put the ANCHOR ASSEMBLY
under the bed frame 36” from
the head of the bed.
Hook anchor handle into
bed frame rail as shown
Take opposite end and hook it onto the bed frame.
Proceed to tightening bolts in step 4.

Ensure all parts are attached firmly (to simulate one solid part) and install in numeric
order as shown.

Safety-Check:
Set height of Arcorail for safety (do not allow a gap greater than 3 inches (75mm) – see
below for important details) and check to ensure all bolts and parts are firmly fastened
before placing mattresses onto the bed frame and periodically tighten as required.
