Unpack the components carefully. Please check all parts have been removed from the packaging.
Safety Precautions
To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injury when using any electric appliance, precautions should be
made, including but not limited to:
Use this unit ONLY as directed.
Always unplug prior to cleaning or performing any type of service.
To clean the exterior of the unit, use a damp cloth with a mild solution or dishwasher safe detergent
with water. Dry completely.
If device appears to be damaged, DO NOT USE.
DO NOT operate unit where there are flammable or combustible products or where other flammable
vapours are present.
Do not attempt to open the unit. NEVER handle the unit with wet hands.
DO NOT insert any objects in the unit other than those specified in the instructions. Keep unit free of
hair, dirt, etc.

Using the charger
NOTE: Different battery chemistry can be charged in the battery charger bay at a time. Mobile phones and
other electronics can be charged through the USB adaptor while any type of battery is charging in the
battery charger bay.
STEP 1: Plug the included AC adaptor into power outlet.
STEP 2: Insert the AC adaptor plug into the unit’s DC socket.
STEP 3: Insert the batteries into the charger, aligning each with the correct polarity. Can charge different
chemistry type batteries at a time. The Digital Battery Machine will automatically detect whether the
batteries are Ni-MH, alkaline, or lithium.
STEP 4: After inserting a battery, the LCD screen will display which dock the battery has been inserted into
(1-5) as well as its charge status. Please allow a few seconds for unit to process and display to appear. While
the battery is charging, a flashing battery will be displayed on the LCD screen with the heading “CHG.” Once
the battery is regenerated, a solid battery will be displayed with the heading “OK.” Remove the regenerated
battery.
NOTE: When a battery is bad and cannot be charged (indicated by a “BAD” LCD display heading), properly
dispose of the battery and do not attempt to charge it again.
STEP 5: OPTIONAL-Using a USB adaptor (not included), connect your mobile phone or other electronic
device to the USB port on the Digital Battery Machine for convenient charging. There is no charge indicator
on the Digital Battery Machine for the USB port.
Automatic shut-off: This unit will automatically shut off after 24 hours of being turned on. To resume usage,
just unplug the charger and then plug it again.

Charging times will vary according to the brand and capacity of each battery. The table below can be used
for charging time reference of common sizes/chemistries. For best results, check the LCD screen display for
charge status of batteries.

The Digital Battery Machine can only charge Ni-MH (Nickel Metal Hydride), alkaline, and lithium batteries in
the Battery charger bay. USB compatible devices can be charged via the USB port.
Do not use extension cable for connection of the device.
Store at room temperature. Extreme temperatures can damage the unit.
Clean dust from unit before using to ensure a good connection. Pay attention to the correct polarity
when inserting batteries.
Do not attempt to charge damaged, expired, leaking, corroded, or rusted batteries. Always inspect
batteries before insertion.
300 mAh batteries can never be charged over 0.5 hours.
Do not submerge in liquids.
The USB port on the Digital Battery Machine is compatible with most smart phones, tablets, and personal
electronics. Consult your device’s user manual for more information regarding compatibility. Please do not
charge more than 2 lithium batteries when using USB port charging.
CARE AND CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:

Do not mix used and new batteries.
Install batteries in accordance with its polarity symbols.
Remove the batteries if left for long periods.
Never dispose of batteries in a fire.
Battery disposal, spent or expired batteries must be properly disposed of and recycled in compliance

PLUG WIRING (UK & IRELAND)
This appliance is supplied with a mains adaptor/charger with BS1363 plug pins.
DO NOT use if the socket outlets in your home or office are not suitable for this product’s mains adaptor/
charger plug pins. Attempts to insert the mains adaptor/charger into the wrong socket is likely to cause
electric hazard or damage.
DO NOT use with any other mains transformer/charger than the one that is supplied with this product.
DISPOSAL
•Coopers of Stortford use recyclable or recycled packaging where possible.
•Please dispose of all packaging, paper, cartons, packaging in accordance with your local
recycling regulations.
•Plastics, polybags –this is made from the following recyclable plastic.
