PREPARATION
Your heated throw must only be used over the occupant of the sofa.
1. Spread the
heated throw
over the sofa, ensuring that the male connector is at the foot position
facing downwards (3).
2. Sit on your sofa under the heated throw for blissful comfort.
3. You may wish to wrap the heated throw around you but do not wrap tightly or sit on the heated
throw as this may cause the overheat protection system to activate.
4. Do not fold or tuck in the heated throw, the connector or the lead to the control unit as these
actions could result in operation of the heated throw overheat protection system.
5. Additional covers should be placed above the heated throw, for additional warmth if required.

USE
•
Insert the female connector (2) in the male connector (1) to connect the temperature
control unit to the
heated throw
. Ensure the female connector is pushed fully home until the locking catch
engages.
• Runtheinterconnectioncordonthe floornearthe sofa.Donot sandwichinterconnectioncord
between the cushions and sofa. Avoid any tangling or pinching.
• Plugpowercordintoa110-120voltwalloutlet (5).
•
Switch on the
heated throw
from the back of the temperature control unit by setting the switch to ON (I)
(11). Press the timer selector button (7).The temperature setting will default to Fast-Heat setting P.
The symbol P is showing on the temperature display (6) lighted in red and represents the Fast-Heat setting.
• TheFast-Heatfunctionwilloperateforaperiodofabout45minutes;however,thistimemayvary
depending on room temperature and additional covers.When the Fast-Heat cycle is completed, the
temperature control unit will automatically reduce the heat setting to 5 and keep this setting until the
timer expires or until the user changes the heat setting pressing the temperature button (8).
• Ifthepreheatfuntionisactivatedwhentheheatedthrowisalreadywarm,thepreheatperiodto
warm up the heated throw will be shorter.
DO NOT use the P Fast-Heat setting temperature whilst you sit under the heated throw.
•
• CONTINUOUSUSE-Pressthetemperaturebutton(8)toturnontothelowestheatsetting.Repeat
pressing the button to scroll the desired heat setting (from 1 to 5) until the desired temperature lights
up on the temperature display (6) in orange.The higher the number, the warmer the heated throw.
The automatic switch off function is designed for conservation of energy by automatically turning your
heated throw off after 1 or 3 hours.
• Push the timer button (7) to scroll the desidered working time 1 or 3 hours shown with green
light(10).
• AUTOMATIC SWITCH-OFF - once the set time elapses, the heated throw will switch-off
automatically and the stand-by display (9) lights up blue.
• Once the control unit has automalically swithed off, to switch the heated throw on press again the
timer button (7).
DISCONNECTION
• It is recommended to disconnect the heated throw while not in use by selecting the switch-off
function on the back of the control unit (11).

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Your heated throw is suitable for washing.
1. Disconnect power cord from wall (5).
2. Disconnect the female connector (2) from the heated throw by
pressing the push buttons at the sides of the male connector (1).
3. Ensure that no cords are still connected and none of the wires have worn
through the fabric.
4. Checkthewashinginstructionsonthelabelofyourheatedthrowtowash
it correctly.
5. Carefullyfollowallwashinginstructionsoryourheatedthrowmayshrink
and possible cause a fire hazard (4).
DO NOT submerge control unit in water.
DO NOT dry clean your heated throw.Dry cleaning solvents may damage
the wires.
DO NOT use bleach or cleaning fluids.
DO NOT use a wringer.
DO NOT use pins.
DO NOT trap or pinch cords.
DO NOT iron your heated throw.
DO NOT use mothballs or sprays of any kind.
DONOTreconnecttheheatedthroworuseituntilitisCOMPLETELY
dry.
DO NOT wash or put into water the power cord or any of the product’s
cords.
DO NOT use analgesic cream in combination with your heated throw.
Taking care of your heated throw is easy and safe as long as you follow a few
simple steps.
1. Machinewashcold,gentlecycle,separately.
2. Rinseinfresh,coldwater.
3. Spin dry in the washing machine.Then gently stretch to its original size.

MACHINE DRYING
1. For best results, air dry over two parallel lines. DO NOT use clothes pins.
2. Machinedrycaution: DO NOT use commercial dryers or dryers at your
localLaudromat.
3. Preheat dryer on low temperature setting for 2 minutes.
4. Addheatedthrowandtumbledryfor10minutes.
5. Removewhilestilldampandstretchtooriginalsize.
6. Air dry.
7. The heated throw must be COMPLETELY dry before reconnecting the
power plug or control female conntector.
8. Makesurethewiresarenotkinkedortwisted.Itiseasiertocheckthewires
by placing the heated throw against the light.

STORING THE

PerfectHeat™, and other technologies) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for five years from
the original date of purchase.This warranty covers the controller, wiring, and the blanket itself. This warranty does
not cover abuse, accident, damage resulting from failure to follow included care and use instructions and manuals,
use of improper voltage/current, or modifications/repairs to the product not performed by the manufacturer. Any
attempts to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this product will void this warranty.
Keep the original sales receipt or order confirmation. Proof of purchase is required to begin a warranty action and
receive an issued return authorization number. Berkshire Blanket®, at its option, will repair or replace this product
or any component of the product found to be defective during the warranty period. Berkshire Blanket®may choose
to issue a credit adequate to re-purchase of the same or similar valued product.

PRÉPARATION

1. Étendre le plaid électrique sur le divan, en s’assurant que le connecteur mâle se trouve à ses pieds,
tourné vers le bas (3).
2. S’asseoir sur le divan, sous le plaid électrique, pour un confort merveilleux.
3. On peut enrouler le plaid électrique autour de soi, mais ne pas l’enrouler trop étroitement ni s’asseoir
dessus, car cela pourrait provoquer l’activation du système de protection contre la surchauffe.
4. Ne pas s’enrouler ou se border dans le plaid électrique, le connecteur ou le fil du contrôle, car ces
actions peuvent provoquer la surchauffe du système de protection du plaid électrique.

UTILISATION

plaid électrique est chaud.

3. S’assurer qu’aucun câble n’est resté branché et qu’aucun fil n’a érodé le tissu.
4. Contrôlerlesinstructionsdelavagesurl’étiquetteduplaidélectriquepourlelavercorrectement.
5. Suivre soigneusement toutes les instructions de lavage pour ne pas faire rétrécir le plaid
électrique ni provoquer de risques d’incendie (4).
• NE PAS immerger l’unité de contrôle dans l’eau.
• NE PAS laver le plaid électrique à sec. Les solvants du nettoyage à sec peuvent
endommager les fils.
• NE PAS utiliser de blanchissants ou de fluides de nettoyage.
• NE PAS utiliser d’essoreuse.
• NE PAS utiliser de broches.
• NE PAS piéger ou pincer les câbles.
• NE PAS repasser le plaid électrique.
• NE PAS utiliser de naphtaline ou de spray en tous genres.
• NEPASrebrancherleplaidélectriquenil’utilisertantqu’iln’estpasCOMPLÈTEMENTsec.
• NE PAS laver ou mettre dans l’eau le cordon d’alimentation ou n’importe quel câble du
produit.
• NEPASutiliserdecrèmeanalgésiqueenmêmetempsqueleplaidélectrique.
Il est très simple et sûr de prendre soin de son plaid électrique si on suit quelques simples règles.
LAvAGE À LA MACHINE
1. Laverséparémentàl’eaufroideavecuncycledélicat.
2. Rinceràl’eaupropreetfroide.
3. Essorer dans la machine à laver. Ensuite, l’étirer délicatement pour lui faire reprendre sa
dimension originale.
SÉCHAGE À LA MACHINE
1. Pour un meilleur résultat, sécher à l’air sur deux fils parallèles. NE PAS utiliser de pinces
à linge.

2. Sécheràlamachineavecprécaution: NE PAS utiliser d’essoreuses commerciales ou de
séchoirs publics à la laverie locale.
3. Préchauffer le séchoir à basse température pendant 2 minutes.
4. Ajouterleplaidetfairesécherpendant10minutes.
5. Enlever quand elle est encore humide et l’étirer pour lui faire reprendre sa dimension
originale.
6. Sécher à l’air.
7. Le plaid électrique doit être COMPLÈTEMENT sec avant de rebrancher le cordon
d’alimentation ou le connecteur femelle de contrôle.
8. S’assurer que les fils ne sont ni noués ni tournés. Il est plus facile de contrôler les fils en
mettant le plaid électrique devant la lumière.

Su manta para sofá sólo debe ser utilizada por la persona sentada en el sofá.
1. Extienda la manta en el sofá, asegurándose de que el conector macho esté situado a los pies mirando hacia

2. Siéntese en el sofá bajo la manta para sentirse confortable.
3. Si desea arroparse con la manta, hágalo pero sin ajustársela demasiado o sentarse en la misma, pues esto

• LafunciónCalentamientoRápido(Fast-Heat)funcionaráduranteunos45minutos;sinembargo,estetiempopuedevariaren
funcióndelatemperaturadelahabitaciónydelascolchasadicionales.CuandosecompletaelciclodeCalentamientoRápido
(Fast-Heat), la unidad de control de temperatura reduce automáticamente la regulación del calor a 5 y mantiene esta regulación
hasta que expira el tiempo programado en el temporizador o hasta que el usuario cambia la regulación del calor presionando el
botón de temperatura (8).
• Silafuncióndeprecalentamientoseactivacuandolamantaeléctricaparasofáyaestácaliente,elperiododeprecalentamiento
para calentar la manta será más corto.

Lafuncióndedesconexiónautomáticahasidoprevistaparaahorrarenergíamedianteelapagadoautomáticodelamantapara
sofá tras 1 o 3 horas.
• Presione el selector de tiempo (7) para desplazarse hasta el tiempo de funcionamiento deseado 1 o 3 horas mostrado con luz
verde(10).
• DESCONEXIÓN AUTOMÁTICA - una vez transcurrido el tiempo configurado, la manta eléctrica para sofá se apagará
automáticamente y la pantalla de espera (9) se iluminará con luz azul.
• Unavezqueelcontrolsehaapagadoautomáticamente,paraencenderlamantaparasofáhayquepresionardenuevoelbotón
del Temporizador (7).
DESCONEXIÓN
• Se recomienda desconectar la manta para sofá cuando no se utiliza seleccionando la función de desconexión en la parte trasera
de la unidad de control (11).

LIMPIEZA Y MANTENIMIENTO
Lamantaeléctricaparasofápuedelavarse.
1. Desconecte el cable de alimentación de la toma de pared(5).
2. Desconecte el conector hembra (2) de la manta para sofá presionando los
pulsadores situados en los laterales del conector macho (1).
3. Asegúrese de que no haya cables conectados y de que ninguno presente daños en
la estructura.
4. Lealasinstruccionesdelavadopresentesenlaetiquetadesumantapararealizarun
lavado correcto.
5. Siga atentamente las instrucciones de lavado, ya que, de no hacerlo, su manta para
sofá podría encoger y provocar un peligro de incendio (4).
• NO sumerja la unidad de control en agua.
• NOlimpieensecolamantaparasofá.Lossolventesutilizadosparalalimpiezaen
seco pueden estropear los cables.
• NO utilice lejía ni fluidos de limpieza.
• NO utilice secadoras.
• NO utilice alfileres.
• NO atrape ni presione los cables.
• NO planche la manta para sofá.
• NO utilice bolas de naftalina ni pulverizadores de ningún tipo.
• NO vuelva a conectar la manta para sofá ni la utilice hasta que esté
COMPLETAMENTEseca.
• NO lave ni introduzca en agua el cable de alimentación ni ningún otro cable del
producto.
• NO utilice cremas analgésicas cuando use la manta para sofá.
