PREPARATION
Your heated blanket must only be used as a blanket, i.e. over the occupant of the bed.
1. Make up the bed as normal using a top and bottom sheet.
2. Spread the heated blanket over the top sheet ensuring it is lying flat without any rucks or creases

3. The male connector(s) must be at the foot of the bed facing downwards

4. Do not fold or tuck in the heated blanket, the connector or the lead to the control unit as these
actions could result in operation of the heated blanket overheat protection system.
5. Additional bedcovers should be placed above the heated blanket, for additional warmth if
required.
USE
•
Insert the female connector Fig. [A] (2) in the male connector Fig. [A] (1) to connect the temperature control
unit to the heated blanket.Ensure the female connector is pushed fully home until the locking catch engages.
• Run the interconnection cord on the floor near the bed. Do not sandwich interconnection cord
between the mattress and box spring. Avoid any tangling or pinching.
• PlacethetemperaturecontrolunitatthebedsideFig. [B] (4).
• Plugpowercordintoa110-120voltwalloutletFig. [B] (3).

Switch on the heated blanket from the back of the temperature control unit by setting the switch to ON (I)
(12). Press the timer selector button (8).The temperature setting will default to Fast-Heat setting P.
The symbol P is showing on the temperature display (7) lighted in red and represents the Fast-Heat setting.
• TheFast-Heatfunctionwillheatthebedforaperiodofabout45minutes;however,thistimemayvary
depending on room temperature and additional bed covers.When the Fast-Heat cycle is completed,
the temperature control unit will automatically reduce the heat setting to 5 and keep this setting until
the timer expires or until the user changes the heat setting pressing the temperature button (11).
• Ifthepreheatfuntionisactivatedwhentheheatedblanketisalreadywarm,thepreheatperiodto
warm up the heated blanket will be shorter.
DO NOT use the P Fast-Heat setting temperature whilst you are in bed.
•
• ALLNIGHTUSE-Pressthetemperaturebutton(11)toturnontothelowestheatsetting.Repeat
pressing the button to scroll the desired heat setting (from 1 to 5) until the desired temperature
lights up on the temperature display (7) in orange.The higher the number, the warmer the bed.
The automatic switch off function is designed for conservation of energy by automatically turning your
heated blanket off after 1 or 3 or 6 or 9 hours.
• Push the timer button (8) to scroll the desidered working time 1 or 3 or 6 or 9 hours shown with
green light (9).
• AUTOMATIC SWITCH-OFF - once the set time elapses, the heated blanket will switch-off
automatically and the stand-by display (10)lightsupblue.
• Once the control has automalically swithed off, to switch the heated blanket on press again the timer
button (8).

DISCONNECTION
• It is recommended to disconnect the heated blanket while not in use by selecting the switch-off
function on the back of the control unit (12).
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Your heated blanket is suitable for washing.
HEATED BLANKET:
1. Disconnect power cord from wall.
2. Disconnect the female connector Fig. [A] (2) from the heated blanket by
pressing the push buttons at the sides of the male connector Fig. [A] (1).
3. Ensure that no cords are still connected and none of the wires have worn
through the fabric.
4. Checkthewashinginstructionsonthelabelofyourheatedblankettowash
it correctly.
5. Carefullyfollowallwashinginstructionsoryourheatedblanketmayshrink
and possible cause a fire hazard Fig. [B] (6).
DO NOT submerge control unit in water.
DO NOT dry clean your heated blanket. Dry cleaning solvents may
damage the wires.
DO NOT use bleach or cleaning fluids.
DO NOT use a wringer.
DO NOT use pins or needles.
DO NOT trap or pinch cords.
DO NOT iron your heated blanket.
DO NOT use mothballs or sprays of any kind.
DONOTreconnecttheheatedblanketoruseituntilitisCOMPLETELYdry.
DO NOT wash or put into water the power cord or any of the product’s cords.
DO NOT use analgesic cream in combination with your heated blanket.
Taking care of your heated blanket is easy and safe as long as you follow a few
simple steps.
1. Machine wash cold, gentle cycle, separately.
2. Rinseinfresh,coldwater.
3. Spin dry in the washing machine. Then gently stretch to its original size.

MACHINE DRYING
1. For best results, air dry over two parallel lines. DO NOT use clothes pins.
2. Machine dry caution: DO NOT use commercial dryers or dryers at your
localLaudromat.
3. Preheat dryer on low temperature setting for 2 minutes.
4. Addyourheatedblanketandtumbledryfor10minutes.
5. Removewhilestilldampandstretchtooriginalsize.
6. Air dry.
7. TheheatedblanketmustbeCOMPLETELYdrybeforereconnectingthe
power plug or control female connector.
8. Make sure the wires are not kinked or twisted. It is easier to check the wires
by placing the heated blanket against the light.

STORING THE HEATED BLANKET
• DisconnectthefemaleconnectorFig. [A] (2) from the heated blanket by pressing the pushbuttons
at the sides of the connector Fig. [A] (1).

- Berkshire Blanket®, Inc. warrants its heated products (featuring Intellisense™,
PerfectHeat, and other technologies) will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for five years from the
original date of purchase.This warranty covers the controller, wiring, and the blanket itself. This warranty does not
cover abuse, accident, damage resulting from failure to follow included care and use instructions and manuals,
use of improper voltage/current, or modifications/repairs to the product not performed by the manufacturer. Any
attempts to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this product will void this warranty.
Keep the original sales receipt or order confirmation. Proof of purchase is required to begin a warranty action and
receive an issued return authorization number. Berkshire Blanket®, at its option, will repair or replace this product
or any component of the product found to be defective during the warranty period. Berkshire Blanket® may choose
to issue a credit adequate to re-purchase of the same or similar valued product.

UTILISATION
• IntroduireleconnecteurfemelleFig. [A](2)danslemâleFig. [A] (1) pour raccorder l’unité de contrôle de température
àlacouvertureélectrique.S’assurerqueleconnecteurfemelleestcomplètementpousséjusqu’audéclicduloquet.
• Étendrele cordonde raccordementsurlesol, prèsdulit.Nepas renfermerlecordonderaccordement entrele
matelasetleressortduboîtier.Éviterqu’ilnes’enchevêtreounesoitpincé.
• Mettrel’unitédecontrôledetempératureauxcôtésdulitFig. [B] (4).

• Allumerlacouvertureélectriquedepuisl’arrièredel’unitédecontrôledetempérature,enmettantl’interrupteursur
ON(I)(12).Appuyersurleboutondesélectiondelaminuterie(8).Latempératureestconfiguréepardéfautsur
Chauffage-rapideP. LesymbolePs’affichesurl’écrandelatempérature(7),ens’éclairantenrouge,etreprésente
laconfigurationdeChauffage-rapide.
• La fonction de Chauffage-rapide réchauffe le lit pendant 45 minutes environ ; cependant, le temps peut varier
en fonction de la température de la chambre et de la présence de couvertures additionnelles. Quand le cycle de
Chauffage-rapide est terminé, l’unité de contrôle de la température réduit automatiquement la configuration de
chauffageà5etmaintientcetteconfigurationjusqu’àl’écoulementdutempsoujusqu’àcequel’utilisateurchangela
configuration de chauffage en appuyant sur le bouton de température (11).
• Silafonctiondepréchauffageestactivéequandlacouvertureélectriqueestdéjàchaude,lapériodedepréchauffage
pour chauffer la couverture électrique sera plus courte.
NEPASutiliserlaconfigurationdetempératurePChauffage-rapidequandonsetrouvedanslelit.
•
• UTILISATION TOUTE LA NUIT – Appuyer sur le bouton de température (11) pour allumer sur la configuration de
chauffageminimum.Appuyerànouveausurleboutonpourpasseràlaconfigurationsouhaitée(de1à5)jusqu’àcequela
température voulue ne s’éclaire en orange sur l’écran de la température (7). Plus le chiffre est haut, et plus le lit est chaud.
La fonction d’arrêt automatique est conçue pour économiser l’énergie en éteignant automatiquement la couverture
électrique après 1 ou 3 ou 6 ou 9 heures.
• Appuyersurlesélecteurdeminuterie(8)pourpasseràladuréedefonctionnementsouhaitéede1ou3ou6ou9
heures, affichée en vert (9).
• ARRÊTAUTOMATIQUE-unefoisletempsconfiguréécoulé,lacouvertureélectriques’éteintautomatiquementet

• Il est recommandé de débrancher la couverture électrique quand elle n’est pas utilisée en sélectionnant la fonction
d’arrêtàl’arrièredel’unitédecontrôle (12).

NETTOYAGE ET ENTRETIEN

4. Contrôlerlesinstructionsdelavagesurl’étiquettedelacouvertureélectriquepour
la laver correctement.
5. Suivre soigneusement toutes les instructions de lavage pour ne pas faire rétrécir la
couverture électrique ni provoquer de risques d’incendie Fig. [B] (6).
• NE PAS immerger l’unité de contrôle dans l’eau.
• NEPASlaverlacouvertureélectriqueàsec.Lessolvantsdunettoyageàsec
peuvent endommager les fils.
• NE PAS utiliser de blanchissants ou de fluides de nettoyage.
• NE PAS utiliser d’essoreuse.
• NE PAS utiliser de broches.
• NEPASpiégeroupincerlescâbles.
• NE PAS repasser la couverture électrique.
• NE PAS utiliser de naphtaline ou de spray en tous genres.
• NE PAS rebrancher la couverture électrique ni l’utiliser tant qu’elle n’est pas
COMPLÈTEMENTsèche.
• NE PAS laver ou mettre dans l’eau le cordon d’alimentation ou n’importe quel
câbleduproduit.
• NE PAS utiliser de crème analgésique en même temps que la couverture
électrique.
Il est très simple et sûr de prendre soin de sa couverture électrique si on suit quelques
simples règles.
1. Laverséparémentàl’eaufroideavecuncycledélicat.
2. Rinceràl’eaupropreetfroide.
3. Essorer dans la machine à laver. Ensuite, l’étirer délicatement pour lui faire
reprendre sa dimension originale.

5. Si quiere utilizar colchas adicionales para aumentar el nivel de calor, colóquelas encima de la manta.

USO
• IntroduzcaelconectorhembraFig. [A] (2) en el conector macho Fig. [A] (1) para conectar la unidad de control de temperatura
a la manta eléctrica. Asegúrese de que el conector hembra esté perfectamente instalado controlando que el mecanismo de
cierre se haya activado.

LIMPIEZA Y MANTENIMIENTO

1. Desconecte el cable de alimentación de la toma de pared.
2. Desconecte el conector hembra Fig. [A] (2) de la manta presionando los pulsadores
situados en los laterales del conector macho Fig. [A] (1).
3. Asegúrese de que no haya cables conectados y de que ninguno presente daños en la
estructura.
4. Lealasinstruccionesdelavadopresentesenlaetiquetadesumantapararealizarun
lavado correcto.
5. Siga atentamente las instrucciones de lavado, ya que, de no hacerlo, su manta podría
encoger y provocar un peligro de incendio Fig. [B] (6).
• NO sumerja la unidad de control en agua.
• NO limpie en seco la manta. Los solventes utilizados para la limpieza en seco
pueden estropear los cables.
• NO utilice lejía ni fluidos de limpieza.
• NO utilice secadoras.
• NO utilice alfileres.
• NO atrape ni presione los cables.
• NO planche la manta.
• NO utilice bolas de naftalina ni pulverizadores de ningún tipo.

• NO lave ni introduzca en agua el cable de alimentación ni ningún otro cable del
producto.
• NO utilice cremas analgésicas cuando use la manta.
