The Auvergne in orporates the “Magilog” flame effe t whi h an be used without
heating, so that the omforting effe t may be enjoyed at any time of the year. The
flame effe t is provided by low wattage motors and two 40 watt lamps. Using the
flame effe t on its own, therefore, requires little ele tri ity.
The ontrols are on ealed behind the ‘ash pan’ flap beneath the firebox. A hoi e
of 1kW or 2kW thermostati ally ontrolled heat output is provided by the fan
heater, whi h is on ealed beneath the unit.
This model is designed to be free standing and is normally positioned against a wall.

Ledge
ENSURE APPLIANCE IS DISCONNECTED FROM THE ELECTRICITY SUPPLY
BEFORE DISMANTLING.
NOTE ALL CONNECTION DETAILS AND ROUTING OF LEADS BEFORE
DISMANTLING.
ALWAYS REPLACE CABLE TIES ON RE-ASSEMBLY.
Numbers appearing in the text refer to illustrations and spares list numbers.
1.1 To gain a ess to the lamps, open the firebox door, then remove the two
s rews ➊se uring the fuel effe t logs and grate assembly (see Fig. 1).
Lift the fuel effe t up slightly to lear the ledge at the base of the glass
viewing s reen, tilt one end up first ➋ and then lift the fuel effe t out of the
firebox ➌.
1.2 Carefully rotate the lamp anti- lo kwise ➥ until it omes out of its holder
(see Fig. 2).
Repla e the defe tive lamp with a 240V, 40 watt E14 SES lear andle lamp,
rotating the lamp lo kwise ➦ in the holder until it is fully home. Do not
overtighten.
1.3 Refit the fuel effe t, ensuring that the rear edge lo ates on the ledge at the
base of the glass viewing s reen (see Fig. 1)
2.1 Remove the six s rews (three down ea h side) se uring rear panel to
surround 35, and the two s rews ➊ lo ated above the fuel effe t through
the sides of the hassis (see fig. 3). Slide the hassis assembly out from the
rear of the surround.
2.2 To avoid damage to the fan heater, pla e the hassis assembly on blo ks
(imperative if the heater unit is to be operated during servi ing).
