TROUBLESHOOTING
Unit will not run pump or pressure up on gauge.
Check regulator on inside of machine. Regulator should be adjusted all the way open. Turn adjuster
clockwise until it stops.
The vacuum pump runs but no new fluid will dispense.
Check the safety check ball in the bottom of the reservoir. Use shop air to back-flush new fluid hose
to dislodge check ball.
Air pump is pulsing and air is rushing out the exhaust on the pump.
The diaphragm in the pump has failed. Disassemble pump and replace diaphragm with BG rebuild kit
Part No. PF91020D.
Pump runs but doesn’t pull vacuum.
Y-strainer is plugged. Remove cap from Y-strainer, remove and clean the screen. Remove the barb
from suction side of pump.
Inspect O-ring for damage. If damaged, replace with EPDM O-ring.
To check the pump for vacuum put finger in the port and turn the pump on. If there is no suction the
pump is bad and needs to be replaced. If there is suction then the pump is good.
There is a blockage in the suction hose.
Remove parts from the suction side of the pump starting at the furthermost point from the suction
side of the pump. Check the vacuum after each part has been removed. When vacuum is present the
last part taken off contains the blockage. Replace or clean the plugged part.
