Band Installation
1. Asses the band’s condition
If the cutting surface is not straight, the band is crumpled, or foreign matter is
found, remove the portion using scissors. Poor band conditions can lead to
jamming.
2. Open the front cover and band reel cover.
3. Orient the band in a counterclockwise position,
as shown in the photo.
4. Press the Feed Button for about 1.2 sec
to widen the gap between the main and idle rollers.
5. Slide the band between the main and idle rollers.
The band’s edge must pass between the main roller and the idle roller for about
2–4 cm. Furthermore, be careful not to operate the band if it is caught between
the idle roller and the guide.
6. Press the Feed Button shortly to install the band.
7. Close the band reel cover and front cover.
8. A quick press of the Feed Button rotates the main roller, and subsequently,
the band is supplied. If the feed motor rotates and the band is correctly installed,
the Feed Button’s LED turns on from blinking.
- If the edge of the band is damaged, setting the band may fail. Fix the
edge by cutting off the damaged portion.
- Be sure to close the band reel cover.
- Be careful with foreign substances at the beginning and end of the
band. These may cause jamming and damage to the machine.

Removing a Failed Band
How to fix a band that is jammed or has deviated from the rail
1. Open the front cover and the band reel cover.
2. Using scissors, vertically cut the band that has clustered on each side of the
main roller.
3. Press the Feed Button for about 1.2 sec to widen the gap between the main
and idle rollers.
Remove the shredded band by pulling it, as horizontally as possible, in the
reverse direction of the main roller.
4. Remove any band pieces from the rails.
5. Supply the band by following step no. 5of 4. Band Installation.
In case of a jam or the rail departure of the band, quickly pressing the
Feed Button will cause the band to be wrapped around the main roller, making it
difficult to remove the band. Thus, it is important to carefully follow the steps above.
