USER MANUAL
Important Information
This is your user manual and safety instructions for the installation and use of your CAVE bioethanol replace.
If you decide to resell your bio replace, this manual must be included.
This bio replace should only be used by individuals, 18 years of age or older, who have read and understood this user manual, the safety instructions, and
the guidelines.
• The bioethanol replace may only be used as decoration. Although it gives off heat, it should not be used as the primary source of heat. Check your
country’s legislation before use.
• The bioethanol replace is only intended to be lit indoors in a ventilated room.
• The construction or location of the bioethanol burner must not be altered.
• It is forbidden to use the bioethanol replace if you are under the inuence of alcohol, drugs, medication or if you are physically or mentally impaired.
• Outer surfaces near the burner become hot during and after use – thus there is a risk of burns. Be careful not to have ammable materials, such as
clothes or hair, near the bio burner.
• Never leave the bio replace unattended and keep children and pets at a safe distance.
• Never place ammable material, or any material other than the intended, on top of or inside the bio replace.
• Keep a safe distance of at least 50 cm, from other devices or objects to all sides of the bio-replace.
• Never move the bioethanol burner or the bio replace while in use.
• Only use bioethanol intended as fuel for bio replaces. We recommend bioethanol with an alcohol percentage of 95-97.5 %.
• Bioethanol is categorised as a hazardous material with hazard level UN1987, Level 3.
• Bioethanol is extremely ammable and must be handled with great care.
• Be sure to check your country’s rules for storing bioethanol, both in terms of storage place and quantity.
• Bioethanol should, if possible, be stored outside in a cold environment at a reproof location, such as a shed or garage.
• It is recommended to keep a re extinguisher or re blanket in close reach during use.

Installation guide
• Make sure the wall can support the replace. The bio replace weighs approximately 35 kilos including the burner and fuel. The included, safety
approved, WÛRT rawl plugs and screws can carry the replace on a light plasterboard wall, a gas concrete wall, concrete wall, brick wall etc.
• The replace must not be installed on a wooden wall, or any other wall made of ammable material.
• The bio replace must be mounted on a heat-resistant wall.
• Make sure the mounting screws are levelled, both horizontally and vertically, so the bioethanol in the burner is evenly distributed. After the mounting
of the bracket the bio replace can be adjusted horizontally, about 3 cm to the right and left – the bio replace has a rail on which it is moved.
• Keep a safety distance of at least 50 cm (from all sides) to other objects.
• Keep ammable materials, such as curtains, furniture, bookshelves, etc., away from the bio replace.
• Never place the bio burner close to a window or draft, as this can increase the risk of re.
• Do not place the bio replace in a room with a constant high humidity.
• Only use the bio replace in draft-free rooms, otherwise soot may form.
• Make sure that any gas pipes near the bio replace are turned off.
• Make sure there is adequate ventilation, if the burner is used in an enclosed space, as the bio replace emits carbon dioxide (CO2). An opening, of 120
cm2, from one room to another is required - this is equivalent to an open door.
• If you have a door open, and the room size of the combined rooms therefore are above 50 m2, you can burn up to 0.6 litres of bioethanol per hour,
which is below the amount burned at the maximum ame height of the Cave bio replace.

Da biopejsen vejer 35 kg, er det en fordel at
være 2 personer til at montere biopejsen på
væggen.
Benyt plastikhansker eller bomuldshansker, da
håndsved og fedtede ngre kan give pletter.
Begynd med at montere beslaget i vandret og
lodret vatter, dér hvor pejsen ønskes opsat på
den brandfaste væg og med minimum 50 cm til
andre genstande.
Hullerne til skinnen bores 83 mm under den
ønskede slut højde på pejsens top.
Monter brændkammeret, derefter Flame Con-
trole plden fra begsiden, pas på du ikke ridser
betonnen.
Placer toppladen over brændkarret med logoet

Test at du kan justere ammen med håndtaget
Flame Controle til højre og venstre.
Monter ikke biopejsen på en væg af brændbart
materiale som træ. Gipsvægge gasbetonvæg-
ge og murstensvægge anbefales.
Anbring ikke brændbare materialer ovenpå,
indeni eller i nærheden af biopejsen.
Cave er ikke designet til at benytte dekoration
som Keramisk træ og keramisk sten.

Installation of the wall-mounted bio replace
• As the replace weighs 35 kg, it can be benecial to be 2 people during
the mounting of the bio replace onto the wall.
• Use plastic or cotton gloves, as sweaty hands, and greasy ngers can
cause stains.
• Start by installing the bracket, in level, horizontally and vertically, on the
reproof wall on which you wish for the replace to be mounted. Make
sure there is a minimum of 50 cm to other objects.
• The holes for the rail are drilled 83 mm below the desired height of the
replace top.
• Install the burner and thereafter the Flame Controle plate from the back
- be careful not to scratch the concrete.
• Place the top plate over the burner with logo and warning symbols
facing upwards. Then 2 people hang the bio replace on the wall, onto
the bracket.
• Make sure you can adjust the ame using the Flame Controle handle by
moving it right and left.
• Do not mount the bio replace on a wall made of ammable material
such as wood. Plasterboard walls, gas concrete walls and brick walls are
recommended.
• Do not place ammable materials on top of, inside, or near the bio
replace.
• Cave is not designed to be used with decorations such as ceramic wood
and ceramic stone.

WARNINGS
Filling
• Only use bioethanol with labels clearly stating it is intended for bio
replaces.
• We recommend bioethanol with an alcohol percentage of 95 - 97.5%.
Lower alcohol percentage may cause a smaller ame and gives off a
sharp smell. An alcohol percentage above 97.5% is not recommended.
• Never use any fuel other than bioethanol intended for bio replaces.
• Use of wrong fuel will void the warranty on the bio replace and burner.
• Do not smoke when lighting the bio re and lling it with bioethanol as
it can lead to risk of explosion.
• The burner is lled with white ceramic cotton wool. This should not be
removed from the burner. The bioethanol is simply poured on top of the
ceramic cotton wool.
• Never overll the burner, only ll to MAX indication.
• Never rell bioethanol into a lit burner or hot burner.
• Use a funnel pointing down into the burner, to ensure that bioethanol is
not spilled. Use an absorbing dry cloth to catch drops. It is recommended
to use a small bottle, or a measuring cup, for easy lling without spillage,
and for the right measuring of recommended amount used for the
desired burning time.
• Avoid getting bioethanol on the skin.
• Stop the lling of bioethanol as soon as you reach the max indicator on
the burner.
• If you accidentally overll the burner or spill bioethanol, make sure to
remove excess bioethanol with an absorbing dry cloth before ignition.
• Empty bottles of bioethanol should be closed and removed before
ignition.

You can adjust the size of the ame or turn off the bio replace using the integrated Flame Controle handle, which opens and closes the metal cover on
top of the burner. The Flame Controle handle is placed on the right side of the bio replace.
You turn of the bio replace by pushing the integrated handle all the way in so that the metal cover shuts off the oxygen supply. Make sure the cover is
closed when the bio replace is not in use, to avoid unnecessary evaporation of the bioethanol.
The cover will not seal completely, so avoid adding more bioethanol into the burner than you intend to use.
If the bio replace is used frequently, minor discolorations may appear on the concrete surface. This is normal and can be easily removed using a dry or
damp cloth.

The ames are not extinguished when the metal cover (Flame Controle) is closed
This can occur with the large burner and if you extinguish the re in the middle of the burning time. The cover is not 100% airtight and bioethanol vapours
can therefore slip out. Open the metal cover completely - and then close it again, quickly, to stop the supply of oxygen.
If, contrary to expectations, this does not extinguish the burner, let it burn out, under supervision.
