IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce
the risk of re, electric shock, and injury to persons,
including the following:
This appliance can be used by
children aged from 8 years and above
and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have
been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a
safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with
the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by
children without supervision.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of
reach of children less than 8 years old.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must
be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly qualied
persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• To avoid re or shock hazard, plug the appliance
directly into an electrical outlet and fully insert the
plug.
• Keep the cord out of heavy trafc areas. To avoid
re hazard, NEVER put the cord under rugs, or
near radiators, stoves, or heaters.
• DO NOT place your humidier near heat sources
such as stoves, radiators, and heaters. Do locate
your humidier on an inside wall near an electrical
outlet. Your humidier should be at least 10cm/4”
away from the wall for best results.
• Never use a humidier in a closed room. (i.e:
doors and windows closed) as it may result in
excessive humidity.
• Do not attempt to rell your humidier without rst
unplugging the unit from its electrical outlet. Be
sure to pull by the plug and not the cord.
• NEVER drop or insert any object into any open-
ings. DO NOT place hands, face, or body directly
over or near the mist outlet while the unit is in
operation. DO NOT cover the mist outlet or place
anything over it while the unit is operating.
• Use the appliance only for its intended household
use as described in this manual. Any other use
not recommended by the manufacturer may
cause re, electric shock, or injury to persons.
• The use of attachments not recommended or sold
by Jarden Consumer Solutions (Europe) Ltd. may
cause hazards.
• DO NOT use outdoors.
• Always place your humidier on a rm, at, level
surface. A waterproof mat or pad is recommend-
ed for under your humidier. NEVER place it on a
surface that may become damaged by exposure
to water and moisture (i.e. a nished oor).
• DO NOT allow the mist outlet to directly face the
wall. Moisture could cause damage, particularly
to wallpaper. Your humidier should be unplugged
when not in use.
• NEVER tilt, move, or attempt to empty the unit
while it is operating. Switch off and unplug it be-
fore removing the water tank or moving the unit.
• Your humidier requires regular maintenance
to operate appropriately. Refer to cleaning and
maintenance procedures.
• NEVER use detergents, petrol, glass cleaner,
furniture polish, paint thinner, or other household
solvents to clean any part of your humidier.
• Excessive humidity in a room can cause water
condensation on windows and some furniture. If
this happens, turn your humidier OFF.
• WE reccomend that you do not use your humidi-
er in an area where the humidity level exceeds
55%.
• Never immerse any part of the appliance or
power cord and plug in water or any other liquid.
• DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical
or mechanical functions on this unit. The unit
contains no user serviceable parts. All servicing
should be performed by qualied personnel only.
• CAUTION: In order to avoid a hazard due to
inadvertent resetting of the thermal cutout, this
appliance must not be supplied through an
external switching device, such as a timer, or
connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on
and off by the utility.
