1 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Sunbeam Products, Inc. doing business as Jarden Consumer Solutions
or if in Canada, Sunbeam Corporation (Canada) Limited doing business
as Jarden Consumer Solutions (collectively “JCS”) warrants that for a
period of one year from the date of purchase, this product will be free
from defects in material and workmanship. JCS, at its option, will repair
or replace this product or any component of the product found to be
defective during the warranty period. Replacement will be made with
a new or remanufactured product or component. If the product is no
longer available, replacement may be made with a similar product of
equal or greater value. This is your exclusive warranty. Do NOT attempt
to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this product.
Doing so will void this warranty.
This warranty is valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of
initial retail purchase and is not transferable. Keep the original sales
receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty performance.
JCS dealers, service centers, or retail stores selling JCS products do
not have the right to alter, modify or any way change the terms and
conditions of this warranty.
This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting
from any of the following: negligent use or misuse of the product, use on
improper voltage or current, use contrary to the operating instructions,
disassembly, repair or alteration by anyone other than JCS or an
authorized JCS service center. Further, the warranty does not cover:
Acts of God, such as re, ood, hurricanes and tornadoes.
What are the limits on JCS’s Liability?
JCS shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages
caused by the breach of any express, implied or statutory warranty or
condition.
Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranty
or condition of merchantability or tness for a particular purpose is
limited in duration to the duration of the above warranty.
JCS disclaims all other warranties, conditions or representations,
express, implied, statutory or otherwise. JCS shall not be liable for any
damages of any kind resulting from the purchase, use or misuse of, or
inability to use the product including incidental, special, consequential
or similar damages or loss of prots, or for any breach of contract,
fundamental or otherwise, or for any claim brought against purchaser by
any other party.
Some provinces, states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or
limitation of incidental or consequential damages or limitations on how
long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusion may
not apply to you.
This warranty gives you specic legal rights, and you may also have
other rights that vary from province to province, state to state or
jurisdiction to jurisdiction.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed to reduce the risk of re, electric
shock, and injury to persons, including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using this heater.
2. This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let
bare skin touch hot surfaces. If provided, use handles when
moving this heater. Keep combustible materials, such as
furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains
at least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater and keep
them away from the sides and rear.
3. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by
or near children or invalids and whenever the heater is left
operating and unattended.
4. Always unplug heater when not in use.
5. Do not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or
after the heater malfunctions, has been dropped or damaged
in any manner. Discard heater, or return to authorized service
facility for examination and/or repair.
6. Do not use outdoors.
7. This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry
areas and similar indoor locations. Never locate heater where
it may fall into a bathtub or other water container.
8. Do not run cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with
throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route cord
under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away from trafc
area and where it will not be tripped over.
9. To disconnect heater, turn controls to off, then remove plug
from outlet.
10. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation
or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric shock or
re, or damage the heater.
11. To prevent a possible re, do not block air intakes or exhaust
in any manner. Do not use on soft surfaces, like a bed, where
openings may become blocked.
12. A heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not
use it in areas where gasoline, paint, or ammable liquids are
used or stored.
13. Use this heater only as described in this manual. Any other
use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause re,
electric shock, or injury to persons.
14. Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle.
Never use with an extension cord or relocatable power tap
(outlet/power strip).
15. When unplugging, be sure to pull by the plug and not the
cord.
16. If the heater will not operate, see specic instructions on
Auto Safety Shut-off.
17. DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or
mechanical functions on this unit. Doing so will void your
warranty. The inside of the unit contains no user serviceable
parts. All servicing should be performed by qualied
personnel only.
18. Discontinue use if plug or outlet is hot. It is recommended
that the outlet be replaced if plug or outlet is hot to touch.
19. The heater must not be located immediately below a socket-
outlet. Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings
of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool.

Installing Batteries into the Remote:
Before operation, insert 2 “AAA” batteries into the back of
the remote control:
• Do not mix old and new batteries
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or
rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries
The remote control for this unit has the capability of
remote will not work through walls.
Bulb Installation:
Unwrap the two 25W Candelabra Bulbs from foam
packaging material and open doors on back of unit with a
athead screwdriver.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
• There may be an odor coming from the heater the
rst time you use it. This is normal during the break-in
period or after long term storage. Make sure the heater
is in a well ventilated area and continue running it until
the smell goes away.
• You may hear a popping or crackling sound as the
heater heats up. This is normal and safe operation.
• The Fireplace Heater can be operated by using the
remote control (Fig. 1) or the control panel (Fig. 2)
located on the top of the unit.
• Place the heater on a rm, level surface or mount on
wall.
• Avoid overloading your circuit by not using other high
wattage appliances in the same outlet. At 1500 Watts,
this unit draws 12.5 Amps.

Power On/Off
First button push will illuminate LCD and power light. The
units default settings are: Temperature 80°; Timer OFF;
Flame Brightness HIGH; Sound ON. After turning the unit
Off, the fan will continue to run for 10 seconds to cool unit
down. After all settings are chosen, LCD will go dark.

Thermostat
• Press Thermostat button until desired temperature level
appears on LCD Display. It is recommended to start by
setting the temperature to the highest setting. Note: the
fan will continue to run for ame operation without heat.
• The system now maintains the selected comfort level
by automatically turning the heater ON and OFF. The

element as it maintains the programmed temperature.
Flame Only Setting:
To activate the Flame Only Setting, press the Thermostat
button. When LCD reads FO the heat will turn off but the
fan will continue to run for ame operation.

Timer
You can set the timer to automatically turn the unit off.
Press the Timer button, select between 1 and 12 hours.
Your selection will then be displayed on the LCD

Flame Brightness
There are four ame brightness settings: HIGH, MEDIUM,
LOW, OFF. Press button to select desired brightness.

Sound
Press Sound button to turn crackling sound on or off. The
sound volume can be adjusted to 4 levels and turned off.
Push the button to cycle through. To turn the sound off
immediately hold the sound button for two seconds and
release.

Press to show temperature in Fahrenheit or Celsius.
Wall Mounting Template
To mount into wall studs
1. Find studs in wall. Studs are typically 16” apart.
2. Cut Mounting Template on dotted line and tape onto wall so
brackets are centered on studs.
3. Use level to make sure template is level. Using a sharp object
such as an awl, mark hole location.
4. Using a Power Driver with Phillips head bit, drive 1.5” screws
through bracket and drywall into wood or metal stud.
IMPORTANT: Before drilling into any wall ensure no
electrical cables are present in the area.
Use toggle bolts for 3/8 - 5/8” thick drywall.
1. Cut Mounting Template on dotted line and tape onto wall. Use level to make sure
template is level and mark wall with a sharp object such as an awl.
2. Drill 3/8” holes at top and bottom of bracket guide in center of studs.
3. A - Align bolts, through bracket holes then thread on Spring Loaded Wings. (Fig. A)
B - Collapse Wings while pushing through hole in wall. (Fig. A)
C - Pull bolt out to secure Toggle Wings against inside of wall (wings spring open
on other side of wall and securely hold bolt and bracket). (Fig. B)
D - Screw bolt in until tight.

Note: The mounting hardware included is intended for mounting the heater on 3/8” to 5/8” drywall afxed to wood or metal studs. For your convenience the wall mount brackets are 16”
on center to align with 2 studs. Not all studs will be 16” on center. If you are not able to align with studs, toggle bolts are provided. For other wall types, please consult a professional or visit
your local hardware store to determine which type of hardware is best for your particular wall.

Stand Assembly:
For oor use attach the Stand to the Fireplace heater
using the 4 machine screws (provided). Gently lay the unit
on the oor and attach the Stand to the bottom. For wall
mount see Wall Mount Instructions below.
Wall Mount Installation:
This product weighs 25 lbs. Do not install alone.
Mounting Template with instructions is attached below to
make mounting your Fireplace Heater easy.

IMPORTANT: Before drilling into any wall ensure no

1. Remove stand from main unit, if installed.
2. Secure the mounting brackets to the wall using the Wall
Mounting Template provided (see below).
3. Hang main body on wall brackets by lifting over the
bracket and sliding down.
4. Use Cord Wrap to hide extra cord.

CLEANING/MAINTENANCE
Always unplug the heater before cleaning and
allow to cool.
• To clean glass use household glass cleaner
• Lightly run a vacuum cleaner nozzle over the heater grill
to remove any dust or dirt that may have accumulated
• Carefully wipe the heater with a soft, damp cloth.
Please be very cautious near the heating elements.
• NEVER use abrasive or ammable solvents to clean the
heater
• After cleaning, be sure to completely dry the heater
with a cloth or towel
• Store your heater in a cool, dry location
AUTO SAFETY SHUT-OFF
This heater is equipped with a patented, technologically
advanced, safety system that automatically shuts off
the current to the heater when a potential overheat
temperature is reached. The heater can only resume
operation when you reset it.
To Reset the Heater
If your heater shuts down, follow these steps:
1. Unplug the heater and wait 30 minutes
2. Plug in the heater, turn the power ON

3. Your heater should now be operating properly
TIP-OVER SHUT-OFF
If the heater is knocked over, it will instantly shut off. To
resume operation, simply place the heater in an upright
position and press the Power

BULB REPLACEMENT
Two 25W Candelabra Base Bulbs can be replaced by
opening doors on back of unit with a athead screwdriver.

INSTRUCCIONES IMPORTANTES:
Para reducir el riesgo de incendios, descargas eléctricas y
lesiones personales al utilizar electrodomésticos, siga siempre
las precauciones básicas de seguridad, incluyendo las que se
mencionan a continuación:
1. Lea todas las instrucciones antes de usar este calefactor.
2. El calefactor se calienta al usarlo. Para evitar quemaduras,
NO toque las supercies calientes con la piel. Si existen,
utilice las manijas para mover la unidad. Mantenga los
materiales combustibles, como muebles, almohadones,
sábanas, papeles, ropa y cortinas a por lo menos 3 pies
(0,9m) de la parte delantera del calefactor y manténgalos
alejados de los costados y de la parte de atrás.
3. Debe tener mucho cuidado cuando el calefactor es utilizado
por, o cerca de niños o inválidos, y siempre que se deje el
calefactor prendido y desatendido.
4. Siempre desenchufe el calefactor cuando no lo utilice.
5. NO utilice el calefactor si el cable o el enchufe están
dañados o luego de una falla, se haya caído o haya sufrido
cualquier tipo de daño. Deseche el calefactor o devuélvalo al
centro de servicio autorizado para su revisión y/o reparación.
6. NO utilizar en el exterior.
7. Este calefactor no está diseñado para ser utilizado en baños,
lavaderos y zonas similares de interiores. NUNCA coloque el
calefactor donde pueda caerse dentro de una bañera u otro
recipiente con agua.
8. No coloque el cable debajo de la alfombra. No cubra el
cable con alfombras, tapetes o artículos similares. No
pase el cable por debajo de muebles o electrodomésticos.
Coloque el cable lejos del área de tráco y donde no se
tropiece con él.
9. Para desconectarlo, gire el control a la posición OFF, luego
quite el enchufe del tomacorriente.
10. No inserte ni permita que objetos extraños penetren en la
ventilación o salida de aire ya que esto puede causar un
choque eléctrico o incendio, o dañar el calefactor.
11. Para evitar un posible incendio, no bloquee las entradas de
aire o escape de ninguna manera. No lo use en supercies
blandas, como una cama, donde las aberturas se pueden
bloquear.
12. Un calefactor tiene partes calientes y que pueden producir
chispas en su interior. NO lo utilice en áreas donde se utiliza
o se guarda gasolina, pintura o líquidos inamables.
13. Utilice este calefactor sólo como se describe en este
manual. Cualquier otro uso no recomendado por el
fabricante puede provocar incendios, descargas eléctricas o
lesiones a personas.
14. Siempre conecte el calefactor directamente a un
tomacorriente de pared. Nunca lo use con un cable de
extensión o con un tomacorriente múltiple.
15. Al desenchufarlo, asegúrese de tirar del enchufe y no del
cable.
16. Si el calefactor no funciona, vea las instrucciones especícas
del apagado automático de seguridad.
17. NO intente reparar o ajustar ninguna función eléctrica o
mecánica de esta unidad. El hacerlo invalidará la garantía.
La unidad no contiene partes reparables por el usuario.
Toda reparación debe ser realizada únicamente por personal
calicado.
18. Deje de usarlo si el cable o el enchufe se calienta. Se
recomienda que reemplace el tomacorriente si el enchufe o
el tomacorriente se calienta.
19. El calefactor no se debe localizar inmediatamente debajo de
un tomacorriente. No use este calefactor en áreas cercanas
a un baño, una ducha o una piscina.

INSTRUCCIONES DE ENSAMBLAJE
Por favor asegúrese de buscar en el paquete las
partes que se pueden usar para operar su calefactor
El paquete incluye:
1 - Calefactor chimenea 2 - Bombillas
1 - Control remoto 2 - Baterías AAA para el
control remoto
1 - Soporte 4 - Tornillos para el soporte
1 - Estuche de herramientas para colocar el soporte
en la pared.
Cómo instalar las baterías en el control remoto:
Antes de usarlo, inserte 2 baterías “AAA” en la parte de
atrás del control remoto:
• No combine las baterías viejas con las nuevas
• No combine las baterías alcalinas, con las estándar
(carbon-zinc), o las baterías recargables (níquel-cadmium)
El control remoto de esta unidad tiene la capacidad de
operar todas las funciones del panel de control. Este
control remoto no opera a través de las paredes.
Instalación de las bombillas
Desempaque quitándole el material de espuma a las dos
bombillas candelabro de 25W y abra las dos puertas de
atrás del calefactor con un destornillador de punta plana.
Ensamblaje del soporte
Para uso sobre el piso, sujete el soporte al calefactor
chimenea usando los 4 tornillos de ensamblaje, incluidos
en el paquete. Cuidadosamente, coloque la unidad en el
piso y sujete el soporte a la parte de abajo de la unidad.
Para montarlo en la pared, vea las instrucciones de
Montaje sobre la pared más abajo.
Instalación del montaje sobre la pared
Este producto pesa 25 lbs. No lo instale solo. La plantilla
del montaje con las instrucciones está incluida en la parte de
abajo, para facilitar el montaje de su calefactor/chimenea.
• El estuche de las herramientas para montaje de pared
incluye:
4 - tornillos Phillips con cabeza de 1.5” autorroscantes
4 - tornillos de expansión
2 - soportes para el montaje
IMPORTANTE: Antes de taladrar la pared asegúrese de que
no haya ningún cable eléctrico en esa área.

Cerciórese de dejar por lo menos un espacio de

1. Separe el soporte de la unidad, si ya está instalado
2. Sujete los soportes a la pared usando la plantilla de
montaje de pared, que viene incluída (ver instrucciones
más abajo).
3. Coloque el cuerpo de la unidad sobre los soportes,
levantándolos y después dejándolos que se deslicen
hacía abajo.
4. Utilice la envoltura del cordón para esconder la parte
de éste que sobra.

INSTRUCCIONES DE OPERACIÓN
• Es posible que el calefactor emita un olor la primera
vez que lo use. Esto es normal durante el primer periodo
de uso y también cuando ha estado almacenado por
mucho tiempo. Cerciórese de que el calefactor esté en
un área bien ventilada y continúe operándolo hasta que el
olor desaparezca.
• Es posible que escuche crujidos provenientes del
calefactor mientras éste se calienta. Esto es parte
de la operación normal y segura.
• El calefactor chimenea puede operarse usando el control
remoto (g.1) o el panel de control (g.2) localizado en la
parte superior de la unidad.
• Coloque el calefactor sobre una supercie rme y
nivelada, o móntelo sobre la pared.
• No use otros electrodomésticos de alto voltaje en el
mismo tomacorriente, para evitar el sobrecargo de su
circuito. Con 1500 vatios esta unidad consume
12.5 amperios.

Botón de encendido/apagado (On/Off)
La primera vez que oprima el botón se ilumina la pantalla LCD.
Las funciones de conguración de la unidad son: Temperatura
80º, temporizador apagado (OFF), brillo de la llama alto
(HIGH), sonido encendido (ON). Después de apagar (OFF)
la unidad, el ventilador continúa operando por 10 segundos
más, para permitir que la unidad se pueda enfriar.

Termostato
• Presione el botón del termostato hasta que el nivel de
temperatura deseada aparezca en la pantalla LCD. Para
empezar, es recomendable programar la temperatura
en el nivel más alto. Nota: el ventilador continuará
funcionando para que la llama siga operando sin el calor.
• Ahora el sistema puede mantener el nivel seleccionado y
cómodo de calor, encendiendo (ON) y apagando (OFF)
automáticamente el calefactor. Los ciclos del termostato

de encendido (ON) y apagado (OFF) con el elemento
calefactor, mantiene la temperatura programada.
La llama solamente:
Para activar la conguración de la llama solamente,
presione el botón del termostato. Cuando se vea lo (FO)
en la pantalla LCD, el calor se apagará, pero el ventilador
continuará funcionando para que la llama pueda seguir
operando.

Temporizador
Se puede programar el temporizador para que apague la
unidad automáticamente. Oprima el botón del temporizador,
seleccione entre 1 y 12 horas. Esta selección aparece en la
pantalla LCD.

Brillo de la llama
Hay cuatro formas de poner el brillo de la llama: Alto,
Mediano, Bajo y Apagado. Oprima el botón para
seleccionar el brillo deseado.

Sonido
Para encender o apagar el crujiente sonido, presione el
botón de Sonido. El volumen del sonido puede adaptarse
para cuatro niveles y para apagarlo. Presione el botón para
poner los diferentes ciclos. Para apagarlo, sostenga el botón
de sonido por 2 segundos y sueltelo.
Fahrenheit/Celsius °F °C
Presione para mostrar la temperatura en Fahrenheit o Celsius.
LIMPIEZA/ MANTENIMIENTO
Siempre desconecte el calefactor y permita que se enfríe
antes de limpiarlo.
• Para limpiar el vidrio use limpiadores de vidrios de
uso casero.
• Limpie ligeramente la rejilla del calefactor con la boquilla
de la aspiradora para retirar cualquier polvo o suciedad
que se haya acumulado.
• Limpie cuidadosamente el calefactor con un paño
suave y húmedo. Tenga mucho cuidado cuando se
acerque a los elementos calefactores.
• Nunca use disolventes abrasivos o inamables para
limpiar el calefactor.
• Después de limpiarlo, asegúrese de secar
completamente el calefactor, con un paño o toalla.
• Guarde el calefactor en un lugar seco, fresco y libre
de polvo.
APAGADO AUTOMÁTICO
Este calefactor viene equipado con un sistema
patentado de tecnología avanzada, que cuando llega a
una temperatura de posible sobrecalentamiento, se apaga
automáticamente la corriente que va hacía el calefactor. El
calefactor sólo puede volver a calentar cuando se vuelva a
reiniciar.
Para reiniciar el calefactor
Si su calefactor se apaga, siga estos pasos:
1. Desconecte el calefactor y espere 30 minutos.
2. Conecte y encienda el calefactor (posición ON).

3. El calefactor debe funcionar correctamente ahora.
APAGADO AL VOLTEARSE
Si el calefactor se voltea, se apagará instantáneamente.
Para reanudar el funcionamiento simplemente coloque el
calefactor en posición vertical y enciéndalo presionando el
botón de encendido.

REEMPLAZO DE LAS BOMBILLAS
Las dos bombillas de 25W con base de candelabro, se
pueden reemplazar abriendo las puertas de atrás del
calefactor, con un destornillador de punta plana.
EN CASO DE PROBLEMAS
• Por favor NO trate de abrir o reparar el calefactor.
Solamente puede reemplazar las bombillas. Por favor
lea la Garantía para las Instrucciones de Servicios o
comuníquese con nuestro Departamento de Servicio

La llama sin suciente brillo
1. Regule el brillo de la llama utilizando el botón

2. Observe que ambas bombillas estén funcionando y
reemplácelas si es necesario.
3. El brillo de la llama puede variar cuando el calefactor
no está prendido.
El fuego simulado no se iluminará:
1. Revise el botón de encendido.
2. Oprima el botón de la llama (Flame).

3. Revise ambas bombillas y reemplácelas
si es necesario.
Sonidos de crujido y explosión del calefactor
1. La unidad está programada para simular los sonidos
suaves de crujidos y de explosión de una chimenea
residencial.
2. Oprima el botón de Sonido (Sound)

para apagarlo.
El calor no deja de producirse
1. Mire las instrucciones de operación
2. Presione el botón del termostato

hasta que aparezca
FO. El ventilador continuará operando
para el funcionamiento de la llama.
El calefactor expulsa aire frío
1. Esto es normal para que el calefactor pueda enfriarse
y para preservar el elemento de calefacción.
2. También es normal cuando el calor se apaga, para dejar
únicamente La Función de la Llama (Flame.)
El control remoto no funciona
1. Cambie las baterías (ver las instrucciones
del ensamblaje).
2. Cerciórese de dirigir el control remoto en dirección
al panel del control de la unidad.
3. Cerciórese de que no haya ninguna obstrucción
entre el control remoto y la unidad.
4. Cerciórese de que el vidrio de la pantalla LCD esté limpio.
5. La distancia ideal para el control remoto es de 20 pies.
Si no tiene suciente calor
1. Aumente el grado de calor del termostato al grado más
alto.
2. Este es un calefactor de 1500 vatios y su función es
para suministrar solamente calor.
La frecuencia de los ciclos del calefactor para
apagar (OFF) y encender (ON)
1. El termostato apaga y enciende el calefactor
automáticamente para mantener un seleccionado
nivel de comodidad.
2. Para que esto ocurra con menos frecuencia ajuste
la posición del termostato a más alta o más baja.
