ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
Before plugging the heater into the socket, check the following:
•Make sure your hands are dry
•The socket must have an earth connection
•The socket must be able to withstand the maximum power output indicated on the
rating label
•The power cord must not be bent or crushed
•Do not use extension leads
•Do not use outdoors
•Do not change the plug for a lower rated specification
Both the Rebel and Low Level 230V heaters are fitted
with a 13amp BS1363/A approved plug and fuse. If
your plug needs to be replaced it should be fitted with
a plug with the same standard.
The 110V models will be fitted with a 32amp 110V BS
EN 60309-2 plug and be wired according to the letters stamped on the plug: L = live
(Brown), N = Neutral (Blue), E = Earth (Green/Yellow)
The power cord and plug should be inspected regularly for damage and should be replaced
by the manufacturer or similarly qualified persons if necessary.
Warnings and General safety
THESE WARNINGS ARE GIVEN FOR SAFETY REASONS AND SHOULD BE FOLLOWED AT ALL
TIMES. Safety cont.
1. NEVER use in environments that have explosive, flammable or combustible
substances, gases, or materials
2. NEVER use in dusty environments as some dusts are highly combustible.
3. NEVER pull the heater by the cable

Page 4
Warnings and General safety cont.
4. NEVER allow the heater to get wet, doing so will increase the risk of electric shock
5. NEVER use with an extension lead as this could cause overheating and potential fires
6. NEVER allow children to use this heater. Adult supervision is always required
7. NEVER leave the heater unattended whilst switched on
8. ALWAYS position the heater at least 2m from people, draperies, inflammable
materials etc
9. NEVER Cover or block vents or guards
10. NEVER use without guards in place
11. NEVER operate if lamps are broken or damaged
12. NEVER use whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs
13. NEVER touch lamps, even when cold.
14. ALWAYS ensure castors are locked before the heater is switched on.
15. ALWAYS unplug the machine before carrying out any maintenance work
16. ALWAYS use in an upright position
17. We recommend the use of an RCD
18. Do not move while the heater is switched on
Other Information
When using the 110V heater with a transformer, please ensure it is a minimum of
3KVA continuous rated specification and ensure that only the heater is plugged into
it. If there are other equipment being used off the same transformer, a new
calculation needs to be done to ensure that the transformer can power everything.
Do not plug heaters into extension leads, this causes voltage drop and if a small
diameter cable is used, this will exacerbate the situation and cause overheating and
potential fires.

Page 5
Cleaning and Maintenance
Keeping your unit clean will ensure your heater is always working at its best! Any
maintenance work should be done whilst the unit is unplugged from the mains supply.

necessary
2. Check the grills, reflectors, and lamps for any build-up of dust and if necessary, clean
with a damp cloth and allow to dry before use.
3. Check the lamps for breakages and replace when necessary.
Operating Instructions
1. Position the heater in the desired location taking account the safety precautions on
pg 4
2. Ensure the switches are in the off position before plugging in
3. Lock both swivel castors
4. Plug the unit into the power supply
5. Switch the rocker switch to the on position, either one or two switches can be
selected.
