socket before cleaning or

We love to clean and we’re excited to share one of our innovative products with
you. We want to make sure your vacuum works as well in two years as
it does today, so this guide has tips on using (page 6), maintaining (pages 7-9),
and if there is a problem, troubleshooting (page 10).
Your vacuum needs a little assembly before you can put it to work, so flip to
page 5 and let’s get started!

Assembly
WARNING
Do not plug in your vacuum until you are familiar with all instructions and operating
procedures.

Twist right
until you hear
a click to
secure.

Attach floor
tool to hose
and slide in
holder on
back of unit
to store.
You will need the following to assemble:

1 - Connect one
extension wand
to the handle.
2 - Connect both
extension wands
together.
3 - Connect the
bottom extension
wand to floor tool.
4 - To use 2-in-1 tool,
attach to end of wand or
handle when needed.

find the hose
connector location
on top of unit.

WARNING

from electrical outlet before performing maintenance or troubleshooting checks.
Maintenance: Changing Bag

Lift canister door to access the bag.

To remove bag,
slide towards
back of unit.
Replace bag in unit by sliding back in place
and closing lid.

Pull filter
up to remove

Clean all filters with mild detergent, rinse and squeeze out all
excess water.
Allow filters to dry for 24 hrs before reassembling.
Ensure black sponge layer of filter faces out into the bag
compartment when replacing.

Remove bag
to access the
pre-motor filter
underneath.
Once bag is removed, located
and remove the pre-motor filter
by pulling it up and out of unit.

Maintenance: Cleaning Filters

Locate post-motor filter cover on
back of unit by cord rewind.
Lift post-motor filter cover up on
back of unit to access filter.
Remove post-motor filter from
back cover
Locate post-motor filter on back cover.
Clean all filters with mild detergent, rinse and squeeze
out all excess water.
Allow all filters to dry for 24 hrs before reassembling.
Place the filter over the 2 tabs in the back cover to align
correctly when replacing.
Turn unit to find the back.

Problem Possible causes Remedies
Vacuum
won’t pick
up dirt
Filters are dirty
Remove and rinse pre-motor and
post-motor filters. Allow enough
time for them to dry properly before
reinserting
The Main Hose is not connected Locate the Main Hose and reconnect
by pushing the hose connection to
secure the latch
There is a crack or hole in the
Main Hose
If there is a crack or hole, order a new
Main Hose from the BISSELL website
There is a clog in the vacuum Remove debris and any other
entanglements that may be
restricting its suction
The Dust Bag is not seated
correctly
Open Dust Bag chamber reseat bag

Dirt is
escaping

vacuum
The Dust Bag is full Replace with new Dust Bag
Filters are missing Check to see if all of the Pre-Motor
and Post-Motor filters are in place
