OPERATION
• To release the power cor , turn the release hook
through 180° an remove the cor from the hol er.
• A just the Carpet/Har Floor selector to the esire
setting for the floor surface. For carpets an rugs, select
the carpet setting. For har floors, lino, tile floors,
woo en floors, etc. use the har floor setting. This
shoul be one when the vacuum cleaner is turne on
an in the upright position, ensuring the selector is
pushe fully to the left or right.
• When using the attachments supplie or when storing,
always ensure the vacuum cleaner is locke securely in
the upright position.

• When operating the foot pe al, press
own with your foot an then pull the
han le back towar s you. The front of
the vacuum will rise slightly an will
rop once you release your foot from
the raise pe al.

removing the plug from the socket.

hol the plug to remove from a socket.
• Always keep all air vents clear an free from ust, lint, hairs, etc.
• When the filter becomes irty, rinse it in warm water an allow to ry
fully before re-fitting.
• Do NOT rop or insert any objects into any openings.
• Do NOT use the vacuum cleaner to vacuum up matches, hot ashes, lit
cigarettes, pins, nee les, bla es or any other sharp or flammable
objects.
• Do NOT use aroun flammable liqui s or gases.
• Do NOT use without the ust bag or filter fitte .
• Keep hair, fingers, loose clothing, etc. away from any moving parts or
openings. Do NOT touch the brush roll when it is rotating.
• Do NOT trea on or pull on the hose.
• Do NOT pick up large objects with the vacuum cleaner an these may
cause a blockage an amage the vacuum cleaner. Remove large
objects from the work area before vacuuming.
• Take care when vacuuming on stairs.
• The appliance is not inten e to be operate by means of an external
timer or separate remote-control system.

MAINTENANCE/
TROUBLESHOOTING
Wipe housing clean with a soft ry
cloth.
Replacing the dust bag:
If the level of pick-up eteriorates
or when the full bag in icator
illuminates, the ust bag may be
full an nee replacing.
To remove the ust bag, remove
the front cover by pressing own
on the latch, remove the bag stan
an take the full bag off the bag
stan .

Insert the new bag into the bag
stan , ensuring the grooves are
correctly aligne with the back of
the bag an re-fit the bag stan
onto the bracket. Replace the front
cover, ensuring the latch is secure.
Replacing/cleaning the filte :
Unplug the vacuum cleaner before
changing the filter. Remove the air
inlet filter to allow access to the
HEPA filter an its stan . Remove
the filter an stan . Wash the filter
in clean water an allow to ry fully
before re-fitting. If the filter remains
irty after washing, it will nee to
be replace . Re-fit the HEPA filter,
stan an air inlet filter before
vacuuming.
Replacing the belt:
Unplug the vacuum cleaner before
changing the belt. Before replacing
the belt, set to the har floor
setting. Remove the bottom plate
an belt cover.
Remove the belt and b ush oll:
Ease the belt off the motor shaft
an then lift the brush roll out of
the si e grooves.

Push the new belt onto the brush
roll pulley. Take the belt through the
floor brush section towar s the
motor shaft. Push the brush roll into
the grooves at the si es an then
push the belt onto the motor shaft.
Re-attach the belt cover an replace
the bottom plate by aligning it with
the groove at the front en of the
nozzle hea an fastening the latch.
Cleaning the suction hose:
If suction is re uce it may be
cause by a blockage in the suction
tube.
To remove a blockage, unplug the
vacuum cleaner an return to the
upright position. Pull out the
suction tube from the connection to
the vacuum cleaner by the suction
ring, being sure to hol the han le
with one han to stabilise the
vacuum cleaner.
Remove the blockage carefully,
ensuring you o not amage the
suction hose. Once remove , insert
the suction hose back into the pipe
an turn on the vacuum cleaner to
check the blockage has cleare .
