1. Locatethe vacuumhandleandremovethe
screw packettapedto the baseofthe handle.
2. Standthe vacuumuprightandslidethebaseof
thehandlefirmly intothe groovesat thetopof
thevacuumbody.
3. Ohecktobesurethehandleisfittedtothe
vacuumbody.Ifthereisagapin front,continue
topushfirmly untilthe handleisflush.
4. Insertthetwoscrewsfromthescrewpacketintothe
existingholes.Tightensecurelywithascrewdriver.

1. Posi'dontheTwist'nSnapHoseTM assemblyon
thevacuumandlineupmetabsonmebaseof
thehosewithmecorrespondingnotches.Turnthe
Twist'nSnapHosetotherightto lockintoplace.

Cleaningwith the detachablecanister
Thedetachablecanisterfeaturemakesit
possibleto easilytake the powerfulcleaning
actionof your BISSELLLift-OffMulti Cyclonic
Petto stairways,auto interiors,and other
hard-to-reachareasofyour home.
Beforedetachingthecanister,yourvacuummust
bein itsfullyuprightposition.Youdonotneedto
turnoffthepowerfirst.
1. Pressme releasebuttonatmetopofme
canisterhandleandliftthecanistertoremove.
2. Detachthe vacuumhosefrom the hosegrip
baseatthe backofthe canister.
3. Attachthe desiredtool(s)to the hosegrip at
the endof theVacuumHose.

Whenyou'redone,removethe tool(s)and
reconnectthe hosetothe hosegrip base.
Returnthe canisterto the powerfootby
aligningthe "feet" onthe front with the
bumpson the foot of the uprightvacuum.
Pushthe canistertowardthe vacuumframe
until it "clicks" into place.
Powercordstorage
Whenyouaredoneusingyourvacuum,returnitto
theUprightpositionandstorethepowercord.

1. Unplugcleanerfrom electricaloutlet.
2. Removedetachablecanisterand recline
handleof vacuum.
3. Usingascrewdriver,removethe onescrew
asshownand lift off the lens.
4, Removethe bulbfromthe socketbygrasping
bulband pullingstraightout.Installthe new
bulbby pushingit gentlyintothe socketuntil
the bulb snapsinto place.
5. Repositionlensand securewith the one
screw.
TurboBrushmaintenance
TheTurboBrushshouldbe checkedregu-
larlyfor clogs or debriswrappingaround
the brushroll.

cover.Removethe brush roll from the drive belt
andcleandebris.

ReleasetheTwistn' Snaphosefrom the
vacuumbyturningto the left. Straightenthe
hoseand unclogwith a long,narrow object
suchasabroomstick.

Whenthethermalprotectoractivates,themain
