BROILING
1. Turn temperature control, knob to 450/BROIL
2, Turn cooking function sel,ector to BROIL,
3. Turn time sel,ector to 10 and then immediatel,y turn back or forward to desired
broil,ing time, incl,uding 8 minute preheat,
Note: Sel,ect STAY ON to control, cooking time yoursel,fl Be sure to use a kitchen timer.
4. If you need to insert baking pan, pl,ace it under the sl,ide rack and then pl,ace food
directl,y on the rack.
Note: Be sure food does not extend past the edges of the baking pan to prevent grease
dripping onto the heating el,ements, Al,so be sure the top of food is at l,east 11/2inches
from the top heating el,ement,
5. Broil. food according to recipe or package directions and check for doneness at
minimum suggested broil,ing time.
6. If using the oven timer, there wil,l, be an audibl,e signal, once the broil,ing cycl,e is
compl,ete. The oven turns Off and the l,ight goes out,
7, If not using the oven timer, turn the oven to Off once broil,ing cycl,e is compl,ete,

Caution: This oven gets hot. When in use, always use oven mitts or

BROILING TIPS
• Preheat for at l,east 8 minutes for improved performance.
• Pl,acing food on sl,ide rack al,l,ows the drippings to fl,ow into the baking pan and
reduce the fat in the foods being broil,ed. It al,so hel,ps to el,iminate or prevent
smoking from the broil,er.
• For best resul,ts, thaw frozen meat, poul,try and fish before broiUng,
• Trim excess fat from meat and score edges to prevent curUng,
• Brush foods to be broil,ed with sauce or oil. and season as desired before broil,ing
• Fish fil,l,ets and steaks are del,icate and shoul,d be broil,ed directl,y on baking pan,
• There is no need to turn fish fil,l,ets during broiUng, Careful,l,y turn thick fish steaks
midway through broil,ing cycl,e.
TOASTING
Important: It is not necessary to preheat the oven for toasting.
1. Open oven door and insert side sl,ots in the l,ower sl,ot position,
2, Engage the integrated hooks on the door as directed in GETTING STARTED.
3. Pl,ace desired pieces of bread to be toasted directl,y on sUde rack and cl,ose the
door.
4. Turn TEMP dial. to Bagel,/Toast and the FUNCTION dial. to Toast,
5. Turn toast shade sel,ector to 10 and then immediatel,y turn back to desired toast
shade,
Note: You must set the toast shade sel,ector as desired for the oven to begin toasting,
6, For best resul,ts on first toasting cycl,e set the toast sel,ector dial. to medium which
wil,l, be midway between l,ight and dark setting, then re-adjust for next cycl,e to
l,ighter or darker to suit your preference,
