Cleaning and maintenance
WARNING: Before cleaning and maintenance,
switch the appliance off and remove the plug from
the socket, to prevent electric shock.
♦ Do not immerse any part of the appliance, power
cord or plug in liquids..
♦ Use a soft damp cloth to wipe the surface. Avoid
using detergent, spray or chemicals as these may
cause damage to the appliance.
WARNING: DO NOT allow water or steam to
enter any part of the appliance, as this could cause it
to malfunction.
♦ Store the appliance in a cool, dry place, ideally in
its original packaging.
Cleaning the Water Tank and Reservoir
♦ To clean the water tank, rst remove it from the
unit as instructed above. Then, unscrew the tank
cap and rinse the inside of the tank using clean
water. Once the tank has been rinsed, re-ll it with
clean water.
Note! It is recommended that you change the water
in the water tank daily to ensure freshness.
♦ To prevent lime-scale deposits from forming inside
the unit, or to remove existing ones, mix water
and white vinegar in equal quantities and use this
solution to clean the inside of the water tank and
reservoir.
Cleaning the Filter
♦ This air cooler comes equipped with a removable
lter. We recommend this lter be cleaned daily to
maintain optimum performance.
♦ To remove the lter, rst remove the water tank
from the unit as instructed in Fig. 1 of the ‘Using
the Ice Pack’ section above. Then, loosen the
screw keeping the inner cover of the unit in place,
and pull the cover out, as shown in the same
gure. Remove the lter from inside the unit and
rinse it under clean running water.
♦ Ensure the lter is fully dry before placing it back
into the unit.
Note! If the lter sustains damage of any kind,
replace it immediately.
Note! It is recommended that you clean the lter
daily to maintain optimum performance.
Mains plug replacement
WARNING: The following section on mains plug
replacement is for authorised service centre persons
only.
If a new mains plug needs to be tted:
♦ Safely dispose of the old plug.
♦ Connect the brown lead to the live terminal in the
new plug.
♦ Connect the blue lead to the neutral terminal.
♦ If the product is class I (earthed), connect the
green/yellow lead to the earth terminal.
Note! If your product is class II double insulated
(only 2 wires in the cord set), no connection is to be
made to the earth terminal.
Follow the tting instructions supplied with good
quality plugs. Any replacement fuse must be of the
same rating as the original fuse supplied with the
product.
Protecting the environment
Separate collection. Products and
batteries marked with this symbol must
not be disposed of with normal household
waste.
Products and batteries contain materials that can
be recovered or recycled, reducing demand for
raw materials. Please recycle electrical products
and batteries according to local provisions. Further
