1. For best Thunderbolt 3 experience with TX-4DS, please upgrade your Windows 10 version to
v1909and up, and macOS version to Mojave 10.14.6 and up. To check the Windows version on
your computer system, please follow the steps below.
a. Locate the “Search Bar” at the lower left corner of your Desktop.
b. Type in winver in the “Search Bar” and press Enter key on your keyboard.

c. A pop-up window will show the current Windows 10 version on your system.

2. In order to hot-swap media/modules in TX-4DS in Windows, you will need Titan Ridge
Thunderbolt 3 laptops/desktops or systems that support Modern Standby (Low Power Idle).
To check if your Windows 10 system supports this LPI state, follow the steps described below:
a. Open CMD and type powercfg /a

3. Best way to start up the TX-4DS:
a. Connect the Thunderbolt 3 cable to Mac via the right Thunderbolt 3 port (with
computer icon) at the rear of TX-4DS. Connect AC power also.
b. Insert a Module into either of the top two slots on the TX-4DS with media also
inserted into the Module.

c. Turn the Power switch at the rear of TX-4DS to ON position.
d. You should see the media icon appears on the Mac Desktop.

e. From this point on, you can simply insert any other Modules and media cards that you
would like to use.

4. Daisy-Chain TX-4DS:
a. Connect the Thunderbolt 3 cable to Mac via the right Thunderbolt 3 port (with
computer icon) at the rear of TX-4DS #1. Connect AC power also.
b. Connect TX-4DS #2 to TX-4DS #1 as depicted above. Connect AC power also.
c. Insert a Module into either of the top two slots on the TX-4DS #1 with media also
inserted in the Module.

d. Turn the Power switch at the rear of TX-4DS #1 to ON position.
e. Turn the Power switch at the rear of TX-4DS #2 to ON position.
f. You should see the media icon appears on the Mac Desktop.

g. From this point on, you can simply insert any other Modules and media cards that you
would like to use.

5. DX-1CXQ (CFexpress/XQD) Module:
* Attention XQD card users*
While Windows 10 and macOS natively support CFexpress media cards, XQD cards require a
driver. Please go to the link below and download and install the XQD driver.

*Attention Mac users*
During driver installation, if you encounter a pop-up windows that says “System Extension
Blocked”, instead of clicking OK, Open Security Preferences and allow System software from
developer “Sony Corporation”.

6. DX-1S (SxS) Module:

developer “Sony Corporation”.
