Design and specifications are subject to change without notice by Blastrac BV
If the grinding machine BG-180EC is to be operated using power from a generator, the generator must be
operated in accordance with the current EN-VDE directives (this applies to the protective earth conductor in
particular) in order to ensure that all safety devices are functioning and to eliminate possible damage to
electrical components
The sound level of this machine is measured according to EN-ISO 3744, the A-weighted emission sound
pressure level at the workstation could exceed 80dB (A), in this case suitable ear protection is obliged
The A evaluated noise level of the machine is typically:
•Emission sound pressure level:
L
pA =
86 dB(A);
•Sound power level:
L
WA =
92 dB(A);
•Uncertainty: K = 0 5 dB(A)
The hand-arm system transmitted vibration level has been measured according to international harmonized
standards EN-ISO 5349-1 and EN-ISO 5349-2, testing may be carried out on a representative sample of
technically comparable machinery
Total hand transmitted vibration value (sanding simulation on coated plate fixed to the ground, in free field ):
•Emission value: 2 77 m/s²
•Uncertainty: 0 24 m/s²
The indicated measurements refer to new machines Daily use, different surfaces and abrasive causes the
noise and vibration values to change

18
Because the value is above 2,5 m/s², we recommend to use measures to decrease hand-arm vibrations
IMPORTANT NOTE:
The declared vibration emission level represents the main applications of the machine However, if the
machine is used for different applications, with different accessories or poor maintenance, the vibration
emission may differ This may significantly increase the exposure level over the total working period
A precise estimation of the level of exposure to vibration should also take in account the times when the
machine is switched off or even running, but not actually in use This may significantly decrease the exposure
level over the total working period
Old equipment contains valuable materials which are valuable for re-processing The machine parts must
not be thrown away in the normal household waste, but should be disposed of at a suitable proper
collection system, e g via your communal disposal location This way the materials can be re-used in an
environmentally responsible manner
Despite the fact that this guide is made with care, Blastrac takes no liability for errors in the manual and the
possible consequences We are naturally very interested in your findings and additions
No part of this publication may be reproduced and / or published in print, photocopy, or other
form without prior permission by Blastrac
Tips or decreasing the exposure to hand- arm vibrations:
-Protect the hands with vibration dampening gloves
E12000 – Anti-vibration gloves
-Clean the plates before attaching the wings
-Clean the wings before attaching them to the plates
-Proper maintenance of the machine
-Scheduled replacement of the shock absorbing machine parts
