GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
• Insllion mus be mde in ccordnce wih he Plumbing Code of Ausrli (PCA)
by  licensed plumber only.
• Observe he use limis indiced on he iler lbel.
• If pressure exceeds use limis, proec wih  pressure reducer.
• Insll n “ni-wer hmmer” sysem o proec he iler.
• Keep wy from ligh sources.
• Keep wy from excessive he nd cold (min. 4ºC, mx 45ºC).
• Only use originl Blue Mounin Co crridges.
The use of non-originl crridges my void he wrrny.

• The insllion of ny bcklow prevenion device mus be in ccordnce wih he
Plumbing Code of Ausrli (PCA) nd AS/NZS 3500.1 nd comply wih AS 2845.1:2010.
Plese refer o Insllion Lyou secion:  dul check vlve is recommended;  single
check vlve or non-reurn vlve is no ccepble.
• Inernl wer pressure in buildings should be limied o  mximum of 500 kP (0.5 br).
The recommended pressure reducer mus be WerMrked nd/or complin wih

INSTALLATION STARTUP AND FIRST USE
1. Turn-o wer mins.
2. Avoid ll kind of ensions by using originl wll brckes s  suppor
3. The insllion of  by-pss is recommended.
4. Connec he inle o he produc’s side wih he indicion IN nd he oule o he side
wih he indicion OUT.
5. Connec o pipes using cylindricl (prllel) iings or US - conicl (pered) iings,
possibly wih lexible hoses.
6. Use only seling pe s  seln for he connecions.
7. If he produc is supplied wihou crridge/s, unscrew he housing bowl from hed
nd inser he crridge/s, lubrice he o-ring, hen screw he bowl o hed nd ighen
wih originl spnners.
8. Turn on wer mins.
9. Unscrew he ven-vlve nd wi for ir purge, hen screw nd ighen he ven-vlve.
Afer insllion, slowly urn on  wer supply (p) downsrem he inslled uni
nd le he wer low for  les 5 minues o lush he sysem before use.
WARNING: Mke sure h here re no wer leks from he produc, ensure you conrol he ighening
beween he housing hed nd he housing bowl. Coninue checking h he ighening is good nd
here is no wer lekge for 48 hours following he Insllion nd sr-up. In cse of lekge, open
he housing, remove he o-ring from he bowl, plce  new o-ring nd pply lubricn, hen re-ighen
he bowl o hed nd repe he lekge check s bove.

2. Relese he pressure from he produc by un-screwing he ven-vlve.
3. Open he housing unscrewing he bowl from hed.
4. Remove he used crridge.
5. Wipe clen he iler housing wih cold wer nd  sof sponge.
6. Open he new crridge wrp nd discrd wrp. Crefully red he lele/sicker
for direcions nd keep i for fuure reference.
7. Inser he new crridge nd plce i ino he housing.
8. Lubrice he o-ring wih lubricn or chnge wih  new o-ring.
9. Tighen he housing bowl o he housing hed using originl spnners. Do no over-ighen.
10. Turn on wer mins.
11. Wi for ir purge from he ven-vlve, hen screw nd ighen he ven-vlve.
12. Slowly urn on wer supply (p) downsrem of he inslled uni nd le he wer low
for  les 5 minues o lush he sysem before use.
• Periodiclly clen he housing wih cold wer nd  sof sponge.
• Flush sysem for 10 minues fer ny period of non-use more hn wo dys.
For  period of non-use of wo weeks or more, i my be necessry o replce he crridge.
• Replce he crridge fer 3 monhs or when  drop in downsrem wer pressure is observed.
