ASSEMBLY
1. General
A. After the components have been repaired and cleaned, obey the assembly instructions for the air
conditioning control panel (refer to Repair, Pageblock 21−61−02_6001 and Cleaning,Pageblock 21−
61−02_4001).
B. Do the unpacking of electrical/electronic components as follows:
(1) Obey all the local safety regulations for handling electronic components that contain
electrostatic−sensitive devices (ESDS), as applicable. Many components have microprocessors
and memory devices that can be damaged by electrostatic discharges. Always wear a wrist
strap and make sure you are correctly grounded before you remove the ESDS components from
their packages.
C. Assembly must be performed on a clean workbench in a room free from dust and moisture. Parts
must be protected from impact damage.
2. Assembly
Refer to Figures 1001 and 1002.
NOTE: For the wiring diagrams, refer to the Testing and Fault Isolation, Pageblock 21−61−02_1001.
NOTE: All item numbers shown in parentheses ( ) are the same item numbers as used in the
Illustrated Parts List (IPL) Pageblock 21−61−02_10001.
A. Install the CKPT COLD HOT and the CABIN COLD HOT control potentiometers (30) as follows:
(1) Put the CKPT COLD HOT and the CABIN COLD HOT control potentiometers (30) in position on
the mounting plate assembly (105) or (107).
(2) Install the new washers (40) and the new nuts (35).
B. Install the RECIRC FAN ON OFF toggle switch (50) on the mounting plate assembly (105) or (107)
as follows:
(1) Put the toggle switch (50) in position on the mounting plate assembly (105) or (107).
(2) Install the nut on the switches (50).
C. Install the CARGO AIR OFF COND AIR (AFT CARGO AIR OFF COND AIR) toggle switch (52) on
the mounting plate assembly (105) or (107) as follows:
(1) Put the toggle switch (52) in position on the mounting plate assembly (105) or (107).
(2) Install the nut on the switch (52).
D. Install the HOT/COLD toggle switches (45) on the mounting plate assembly (105) or (107) as
follows:
(1) Install the nuts and the locking rings on the switches (45). The nuts and the locking rings are
part of the switches (45).
(2) Put the toggle switches (45) in position on the mounting plate assembly (105) or (107).

(3) Install the lockwashers and the nuts on the toggle switches (45).
E. Install the CKPT MAN and the CABIN MAN light pushbutton switches (55) as follows:
(1) Install the CKPT MAN and the CABIN MAN light pushbutton switch (55) on the mounting plate
assembly (105) or (107).
(2) Install the gasket on the illuminated lenses (70). The gasket is part of the illuminated lenses
(70).
(3) Install the illuminated lenses (70) on the CKPT MAN and the CABIN MAN light pushbutton
switches (55).
F. Install the L PACK FAULT OFF and the R PACK FAULT OFF light pushbutton switches (85) as
follows:
(1) Install the L PACK FAULT OFF and the R PACK FAULT OFF light pushbutton switches (85) on
the mounting plate assembly (105) or (107).
(2) Install the gasket on the illuminated lenses (100). The gasket is part of the illuminated lenses
(100).
(3) Install the illuminated lenses (100) on the L PACK FAULT OFF and the R PACK FAULT OFF
light pushbutton switches (85).
G. Install the RAM−AIR OPEN light pushbutton switch (55) as follows:
(1) Install the RAM−AIR OPEN light pushbutton switch (55) on the mounting plate assembly (105)
or (107).
(2) Install the gasket on the illuminated lens (75). The gasket is part of the illuminated lens (75).
(3) Install the illuminated lens (75) on the RAM−AIR OPEN light pushbutton switch (55).
(4) Install the cover (80).
H. Install the connector light PL10J3 (20) as follows:
(1) Install the connector light PL10J3 (20) on the mounting plate assembly (105) or (107) with the
nut.
I. Install the electrical connectors PL10J1 (150) and PL10J2 (155) as follows:
(1) Put the posts (125) in position on the mounting plate assembly (105) or (107).
(2) Install the screws (130).
(3) Put the connector plate (135) in position on the posts (125).
(4) Install the screws (140).
(5) Put the connector PL10J1 (150) in position on the connector plate (135).
(6) Install the screws (160) and the nuts (165).
(7) Put the connector PL10J2 (155) in position on the connector plate (135).
(8) Install the screws (160) and the nuts (165).

J. Connect the wires as follows:
(1) Connect the connector SDS44P1 (65) to the CKPT MAN light pushbutton switch (55).
(2) Connect the wires from the connector PL10J1 (150) to the connector SDS44P1(65) of the CKPT
MAN light pushbutton switch (55).
(3) Connect the connector SDS45P1 (65) to the CABIN MAN light pushbutton switch (55).
(4) Connect the wires from the connector PL10J2 (155) to the connector SDS45P1 (65) of the
CABIN MAN light pushbutton switch (55).
(5) Connect the connectors SDS46P1 and SDS47P1 (95) to the L PACK FAULT OFF and the R
PACK FAULT OFF light pushbutton switches (85).
(6) Connect the wires from the connector PL10J1 (150) to the connector SDS46P1 (95) of the L
PACK FAULT OFF light pushbutton switch (85).
(7) Connect the wires from the connector PL10J2 (155) to the connector SDS47P1 (95) of the R
PACK FAULT OFF light pushbutton switch (85).
(8) Connect the connector SDS48P1 (67) to the RAM−AIR OPEN light pushbutton switch (55).
(9) Connect the wires from the connector PL10J1 (150) to the connector SDS48P1 (67) of the
RAM−AIR OPEN light pushbutton switch (55).
(10) Connect the wires from the connector PL10J1 (150) to the CKPT COLD HOT control
potentiometer R19 (30).
(11) Connect the wires from the connector PL10J2 (155) to the CABIN COLD HOT control
potentiometer R20 (30).
(12) Connect the wires from the connectors PL10J1 (150) and PL10J2 (155) to the RECIRC FAN ON
OFF toggle switch S124 (50).
(13) For control panel PN CC670−51128−9, −13, −19 and KBA670−71203−3: connect the wires from
the connector PL10J2 (155) to the CARGO OFF AIR (AFT CARGO OFF AIR) toggle switch
S148 (50).
(14) Connect the wires from the connectors PL10J1 (150) and PL10J2 (155) to the HOT/COLD
toggle switches S122 and S123 (45).
(15) Connect the wires from the connector PL10J1 (150) to the connector light PL10J3 (20).
(16) For control panel PN CC670−51128−11, −15, −17, −21 and KBA670−71203−12, −13: connect
the wires from the connector PL10J2 (155) to the CARGO AIR OFF COND AIR (AFT CARGO
AIR OFF COND AIR) toggle switch S17 (52).
K. Installation of the plastic panel (5) or (7).
(1) Put the plastic panel (5) or (7) in position on the mounting plate assembly (105) or (107).
(2) Install the washers (15) and the screws (10).
(3) Install the knobs (25).

L. Do the packing and storage procedures for the panel as follows:
(1) Identify the panel assembly with the name, part number and the date of repair on a tag.
(2) Put protective caps on all electrical connectors.
(3) Put the panel assembly in a plastic or electrostatic discharge ESD bag (as applicable).
(4) If it is necessary, put a package of desiccant into the bag.
(5) Partially seal the open end of the bag, manually expel as much air as possible and complete the
seal.
(6) Keep the panel assembly in a clean and dry area.
(7) Keep the panel assembly away from any heat source or direct sun light.
(8) Keep the panel assembly away from water or other fluids that can damage the unit.
(9) Keep the panel assembly in a safe area to prevent damage to the unit.
(10) Put the panel assembly, contained in the plastic or ESD bag into a shipping container with
packing.
(11) Identify the container with the name, part number and the date of repair.
