Intended use
This vacuumcleaner is intended for domestic useand not for
commercial use. Only usethis vacuumcleaner in accordance
with theinstructions in this instruction manual. Themanufac-
turer will not accept any responsibility for damagecaused by
improper useor incorrect operation.
Therefore, pleasenotethefollowing points.
The vacuumcleaner must only be operated with:
Original replacement parts,accessories or special accessories
In order to avoid invalidating thewarranty,werecommend that
you operateyour applianceusing only original dust bags.
In order to prevent injuriesand damage, the vacuumcleaner
must not be used for:
Vacuum-cleaning persons or animals
Vacuuming up:
- insects or spiders.
- hazardous,sharp-edged,hot or glowing substances.
- damp or liquid substances.
- highly flammableor explosivesubstances and gases.
- ash,soot fromtiled stoves and central heating systems.
- toner dust fromprinters and copiers.

This vacuumcleaner complies with therecognised rules of tech-
nology and therelevant safety regulations.
Theappliancemay beused by children over theageof 8 years
and by persons with reduced physical,sensory or mental ca-
pacity or by persons with a lack of experienceor knowledgeif
they aresupervised or havebeen instructed on thesafeuseof
theapplianceand thehaveunderstood thepotential dangers of
using theappliance.
Children must never play with theappliance.
Cleaning and user maintenancemust never becarried out by
children without supervision.
Plastic bags and films must bekept out of thereach of children
beforedisposal. => Risk of suffocation.
Proper use
Only connect and usethevacuumcleaner in accordancewith
thespecifications on therating plate.
Never vacuumwithout thedust bag or dust container,motor
protection or exhaust filter.
=> This may damagethevacuumcleaner.
Always keep thevacuumcleaner away fromyour head when
using nozzles and tubes. => This could causeinjury!
When vacuuming stairs,theappliancemust always bepositi-
oned below theuser.
Do not usethepower cord or thehoseto carry or transport the
vacuumcleaner.
For safety reasons,if this appliance's mains power cablebeco-
mes damaged,it must bereplaced by themanufacturer,their
after-sales servicedepartment or a similarly qualified person.
If using theappliancefor longer than 30 minutes,pull out the
power cord completely.

When disconnecting theappliancefromthemains,pull on the
plug itself to removeit; do not pull on thepower cord.
Do not pull thepower cord over sharp edges or allow it to be-
come trapped.
When thecableis being automatically rewound,ensurethat the
mains plug is not thrown towards persons,body parts,animals
or objects. => Usethemains plug to guidethepower cord.
Pull out themains plug beforecarrying out any work on the
vacuumcleaner.
Do not operatethevacuumcleaner if it is damaged. Unplug the
appliancefromthemains if a fault is detected.
For safety reasons,only authorised after-sales serviceperson-
nel arepermitted to carry out repairs and fit replacement parts
to thevacuumcleaner.
Protect thevacuumcleaner fromtheweather,moistureand
sources of heat.
Do not pour flammablesubstances or substances containing al-
cohol onto thefilters (dust bag,motor protection filter,exhaust
filter,etc.).
Thevacuumcleaner is not suitablefor useon construction si-
tes.
=> Vacuuming up building rubblecould damagetheappliance.
When not in use, switch off theapplianceand pull out themains
plug.
At theend of its life, theapplianceshould immediately beren-
dered unusable, then disposed of in an appropriatemanner.

!Please note
Themains socket must beprotected by at least a 16amp cir-
cuit breaker.
If a circuit breaker is tripped when you switch on thevacuum
cleaner,this may bebecauseother electrical appliances which
havea high current draw areconnected to thesame power
circuit.
To prevent thecircuit breaker fromtripping,select thelowest
power setting beforeswitching theapplianceon,and increase
thepower only onceit is running.

To achievethedeclared energy efficiency and cleaning perfor-
manceclass on carpet,pleaseusetheinterchangeableuniver-
sal nozzle.
Pleaseusetheenclosed "powerClean Stone&Co" hard-floor
tool to achievethespecified energy-efficiency level and cleaning
class on hard floors with joints and gaps.
The valuesprovided on the energy label have been determi-
ned according to the prescribed measuring process (in ac-
cordance with EN60312-1).
